Hi, I'm Gale of Inver Grove Heights, MN. I was the winner of the drawing for the FREE 2026 IKO Dynasty Roof Shingles with installation by Crown Exteriors of Oakdale, MN. The surprise of the year was when people from Crown Exteriors, IKO and ABC Supply came to the door with a giant check and flowers to tell us the news. My daughter said she didn't think people really won any drawings.

My husband, Craig and I have had the best experience with Crown Exteriors. They answered all our questions. They kept us informed when everything was going to happen from the dropping off of the shingles by ABC Supply, the interview with the Videographer Matty of Matty J. Films, to letting us know who the job supervisor was going to be, Hugo Andrade.

What drew me to enter the raffle was the IKO roof colors. The regular black, brown, grey shingles were nice, but they also had Monaco Red, Emerald Green and our choice, Atlantic Blue.

The installation crew arrived right at 7:00, along with Danny Hecker the owner of Crown Exteriors. The installation crew were every efficient, and conscientious of our property. We were impressed by the netting they put around the house along with the tarps over our landscaping. The crew had cleaned up and left by 5:30 with a completely new roof all done. Hugo even did another walk around to make sure everything was picked up. It was, the crew knew what they were doing.

Buyer beware. Just had 2 patio doors installed. Process took 3 years from contract to finish. Ordered doors the wrong side and had to redo. 1 door the screen was loose and my 1 year old fell out onto the patio. We heard her crying and found her outside. The other door is hard to open and close. Denny texted me that he would consult with the manufacturer and follow their recommendations. Manufacturer told them it wasn’t installed square and that as likely the problem. Oh, and I found water inside after 2 consecutive storms. They refused to reinstall the door and just caulked it. He gave us 20% off and I took it so I don’t have to deal with him anymore. Buyer beware.

This project involved a manufacturer screen defect that required extended warranty coordination with Pella Corporation, which contributed to a longer timeline than anticipated. We remained engaged throughout — coordinating service, evaluating next steps, and working through each concern as it arose.
While the process was not as seamless as it should have been, the issues were addressed through that process.

Crown Exteriors recently replaced our roof and did a phenomenal job. From the onset communication was very good. Our sales rep Conner was knowledgeable and understanding of what we wanted done. The project team was in constant communication on possible start dates. When start date was determined, Hugo the site foreman immediately contacted us and told us how the process would work. Hugo did an excellent job overseeing the crew and the entire roofing project. He was there for every step of the way including tear off, new skylights installed, shingle install and cleanup.
