My Gastric Sleeve journey So in August 2023 I clicked on a link on Facebook about gastric sleeve surgery in Spain. I’d clicked on many links in the past but on this occasion I received a call from Noel in SurgeryNow the following morning. We spoke for well over an hour. A small piece of me thought it was too good to be true that I would be refunded for my surgery abroad. So I set about doing my research. I went to my GP who recommended SurgeryNow and just so happened to know Noel. With all my information I went with Noel’s help and booked my surgery in Valencia with a surgeon called Dr Jose Ferrer. Between Noel’s call that Friday morning and me sitting on a plane leaving Dublin the time frame was 3 weeks. Ros who works in SurgeryNow rang me daily to reassure me and give me guidance, post surgery Trisha who also works for SurgeryNow was in contact to check up on me and give advice. I’m sure I was one of their hardest patients with my constant questions and all the scenarios that popped up in my head of what might go wrong. They always made me feel sane and listened to and that is vital for patients who travel to have surgery when you feel at your most vulnerable they were always there to answer questions and if they didn’t know the answer they quickly found out. They genuinely care for their patients. Dr Ferrer and his team were absolutely excellent, nothing was too much trouble. I will forever be grateful to SurgeryNow for giving me a new and happier life.
