The best travel experience in my life Fantastic 16 day holiday we had in Tanzania. First Safari trip and then relaxation on Zanzibar. The trip was incredibly well organized by Tommy from Amara Safaris. We had our own safari car with Baraka as driver. He had a knack for finding the animals, and already within the first two days we had seen The Big Five. The highlights were a male elephant that came walking up close from the car, a leopard that climbed up a tree with its prey (a young wildebeest), mother lion with three cubs, seeing the interaction between 4 male lions and 3 female lions. We saw a total of 57 lions, 6 leopards, 4 cheetahs, countless elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, flamingos and much more. The accommodation was very cozy and staying in luxury tents among the wild animals and hearing the roar of lions and hyenas at night was truly an experience out of the ordinary. A very special experience was our balloon ride, which can be recommended. We experienced many magical moments. After 1 week of Safari, it was good to get to Zanzibar, where we stayed in some nice resorts with fantastic locations and views of the sea beaches. The holiday experiences exceeded all our expectations, and we met everywhere very friendly and welcoming people. We would always recommend Amara Safaris, who have a huge knowledge of Tanzania.
