After getting multiple quotes for a patio cover, I ultimately chose Igor due to his professionalism and responsiveness. After negotiating the price Igor started the work the same week and completed the install in one day! The patio cover looked great, however, there was two issues I ran into. First, I thought I was getting an insulated patio cover. They ended up installing a non-insulated cover. The price that Igor gave me was comparable to insulated covers from the competitors so I had assumed that we were getting an insulated cover. I take partial blame for this because when he came to do the estimates neither of us specified verbally. Igor felt horrible about this so he refunded me some money back. He also installed an additional electrical outlet at no charge so it was a wash. Second, I noticed that there was paint scratched off on two panels. I called Igor and he sent his guys to do touch up right away. I noticed the next day that the paint didn't match well and the scratches were not fully covered. I called Igor and he sent his guys again. This time they took their time and did a better job. I'm giving 4 stars because it wasn't a seamless experience for me, otherwise, I would have given them 5 stars. I would still recommend using Five Star because in the end Igor will make sure that you are happy with his product and service.

I am very happy with my new pergola that was installed by Five Star Home Improvement. The professional installation exceeded my expectations. Also, the high-quality materials and craftsmanship are evident in the pergola's manufacturing and the beautiful finish. It matches my house and has made my patio usable now when the sun sets and heats up this part of the backyard. Considering the exceptional quality and value, I wholeheartedly recommend Igor, his crew, and Five Star Home Improvement for any project they complete for you. The pergola in my case has been a truly worthwhile investment for anyone looking to enhance their outdoor living space.

We have this patio project since 2023 and either we got a quote that was way over our budget or no show. 3 wks ago, we asked for a quote again through Yelp. Some businesses do not service my area, Fairfield CA. 5 Star Improvement was 1 of 2 that are able to do so. Igor sent me a message but life got busy and I forgot to reply. He then sent me another message a week after to ask if we are still interested and I replied right away as this person is really following up even though I didn't reply the 1st time. He mentioned someone will call on the number I provided and YES, we got a phone call same day. Scheduling was really easy, he came in on time and assessed the area and worked with us with what our vision was. Although aluminum wasn't my go-to project, the agent was able to ensure that I still get the 'sunshine' I needed. He quoted us less than 1/2 of the last yr handyman guy. He explained what happened next about the scheduling and payments. Got a phone call less than a week later and the 2 men working were very professional and kept the area clean the whole time. The project took 2 days. When they're done, they told me to give the boss, Igor, a call if any issue arises. I have to say I am very happy with the results and I am thankful that Igor, the owner, was following up and made our patio looks wonderful. I already gave out their business info to colleagues who are looking to install patio cover.

Five Star did an amazing job fixing my patio cover that was damaged. They were extremely polite and answered all my questions. I highly recommend them. If I ever have issues with my patio cover in the future I'll give them a call.

These guys are the best this is my 3rd job from 5 star and I would not use anyone else. They are friendly and professional . There work is far superior to anyone out there. Thank you again 5 star for a job well done.

Igor and his crew did an amazing job! Igor responded to my quote inquiry in a timely manner. He took his time explaining my options and drew out a patio sketch. Within a week his crew came and demolished my old patio very quickly and cleaned up the backyard, like if nothing had happened. The new aluminum patio cover was installed a few days later and is beautiful. The guys were very clean and helpful when I would ask questions. I had a few different quotes but Igor stood out, his professionalism, his fast responses, great personality and his expectations for quality work that his customers are happy with their product. Quality of his work and workers are the best.

I am super happy with the aluminum awning Five Star installed. They did quality work, showed up on time, and cleaned up when they were done. It really makes out outdoor space usable all year.

When we needed to have a patio cover installed, we contacted 3 companies. Igor at Five Star Home Improvement took about a week to come to our house, he was so busy. On the day of our appointment, he was extremely thorough and informative...much more than the other two had been. He spent over an hour with us, explaining the options for attaching the cover to the house and the pros and cons of each. He measured the outdoor space, sketching a detailed diagram with all the dimensions, specifications, etc. including the cost. His quote was not the least expensive one, but we were impressed with his professional knowledge, attention to detail and kind manner. His crew worked quickly and respectfully. They cleaned up the work area when they were finished. You'd never know they had been there, if not for the new patio cover....oh and the outdoor fan they also installed to complement the two can lights! They did an outstanding job of taking all of Igor's information and using it to construct a very lovely and sturdy patio cover. I highly recommend Five Star Home Improvement. From the beginning to end, Five Star Home Improvement lead by company owner Igor, lived up to their names in producing a great patio cover for my new build home. During the initial planning stages, Igor came up with plan that would satisfy my patio cover needs and laid out the process perfectly. He answered all my questions and was always a quick text away if I had any lingering questions about the project. Five star was able to complete my 16x40 patio cover in a span of 3 days and they were very quick and efficient with their work. I would highly recommend them to my neighbors and any home owners who are interested in adding a patio cover to their house.

I recently went with Five Star to build a covered patio to extend an existing covered patio in my backyard. The entire process from start to finish went about as smooth as possible. Igor (owner) was ultra communicative and very consultative. He was comprehensive and took the time to go over and cover every detail. The build took exactly 2 days which I couldn't believe. Quality and craftsmanship of the work was top notch at a very reasonable price. I am very happy with the final product. If you are considering a covered patio (which is a must have in East Bay IMO) I would highly recommend Five Star.
