ACR Solar installed my new pool solar system and did a great job, their attention to detail is amazing.
Three months after install when shutting it down for the winter I discovered a faulty valve, I called them and they had a team out to replace it in a couple days.

ACR solar greatly disappointed me. We hired them in 2017 to do the whole solar panel system for almost 40K. They did a good job. Fast forward till 2024 when I needed a new roof, the solar panels needed to be removed/reinstalled. ACR came in almost 4K more than anyone else. When asked about the original plans from 2017 as required by the County they have refused to provide them and said "if you hired us we would have got the job done". Simply put= customer service only when it benefits them and no service if you do not do business with them. Look for my upcoming review of a solar company (NOT ACR) that did an outstanding service for me and went out out of their way to help me...

I spoke with my team to learn about your quote for removal and replacement of your solar pool and solar electric. We understand you went with the company due to the lower proposal price. The reason for our higher proposal was because ours included permitting both removal and replacement of Solar pool and Electric. We also included in our price new material needed to stay within manufacturer’s warranty.
You reach out to us after you had the old system removed and replaced by another company. You requested we permitted their work for them. Unfortunately, we could not permit another company’s work as our CSLB License only pertains to the work that ACR Solar employees conduct. We offered to provide your original plan sets so the company you worked with could create a permit for you. We are still more than willing to provide that plan set for your original installation.

ACR Solar has been a fantastic vendor. In five years I've had two issues, and in both cases the team came out and promptly addressed the technical problems I was facing. They communicated clearly and their service team was friendly and efficient.

Buyer beware!!!
They installed this solar water heater in my fathers home about 7 years ago. It does not function properly and I have left several messages for service. If they answer they are so nice and helpful but nobody ever calls me back. This system can only be serviced by them. What a scam!!! Oh and don’t get me started on the coat of it all… crazy to think they can take you for that much money and then never call you back when it’s having an issue…. So if you are looking at using this company beware that you may pay them thousands of dollars and then NEVER hear from them again!!

To clarify, we had advised against altering certain settings on the system to prevent further complications. Despite this, it appears these settings were changed, resulting in additional issues which we have addressed at no extra charge.

I was having problems with my dishwasher. The repairman thought we had a bad wall switch and circuit breaker. We called ACR who had installed our solar and a new electrical panel. They were in our area and arrived within the hour. Kody found a bad breaker which he repaired. He also kindly replaced a bad outlet under the sink as well as the bad wall switch (which he had to go buy parts for.) Kody explained everything thoroughly and was thankfully able to fix our problems that day (the Friday before a 3 day weekend.) We highly recommend ACR for their service and for our solar/install as well!

Soo.... FINALLY I can post my review of ACR Solar (and Roofing). Understand I had to at least wait for a few good rains to say I LOVE my new roof and we are in fact "water proof"! I have never been so impressed with the customer service of any company as much as I am with ACR. They did the solar for a new pool last year 2021 and it worked perfectly allowing us the most comfortable swimming experience in our new pool. That was last year... Next up our 25 year-old roof was looking tired.Because of my solar experience with ACR's amazing staff (both in the field and in the office), I decided to get a bid (1 of 4) from them on a new roof this year (2022). Oh my gosh Joe Petersen runs a smooth, courteous, professional company with an awesome team of workers. Not one person was rude, lazy or "questionable".I am one who asks MANY questions because I just like to know and understand "stuff". Joe was so very patient with me. (Thank you Joe, lol).I always try to HIRE LOCAL whenever possible but get at least 3 bids regardless. This LOCAL company came in competitive, were pretty quick to get me on the schedule, and once the job began did not waste a bit of my time or theirs.Thank you so much for your excellent service on both of my jobs. Had a roof leak on my home. Obviously this becomes a problem when it rains. There was a lot of rot and corrosion under the roof.
Call Joe PETERSEN he was fantastic and easy to work with. Professional, on time, gave me a great estimate, had his team come out and repair all within two weeks.

I have a 30-year-old Barrel tile roof and some under lay that needed some TLC as well as two solar Hot Water Pannels that needed to be remounted. They were installed 30 years ago as well when the roof was put on. Most companies either do roof or the solar. Not both. And being cement tiles not many takers. Found ACR while searching the web and it was the best thing I could have done. The estimator came out the next day, I showed him the price just for the roof from another company who did only roofing, not solar panels. I wanted to just hire one company to do both. ACR got on the roof and took pictures. They came back with the price that matched the other company and for a few dollars more remounted the Solar Panels. Soon after C.E.O.Joe Petersen and his Crew consisting of Brian, Jessie, and Robert came out. What can I say, These Guys were Friendly, and Professional in every sense of the word. And Hard Workers!! These Guys were MACHINES! Took two days to complete the job. The Price was Great, Roof Looks GREAT and the remounting of the Solar Panels is Excellent. They Cleaned everything up when they were finished. You would have never known they were here. I can't say Thank You Enough (ACR) C.E.O. Joe, Jessie, Robert and Brian. If anyone has problems with either your roof, solar panels or both, Give ACR a call. Trust me You won't be Disappointed.
