This is my go-to auto shop now! Although my dad is pretty knowledgeable with cars since he was a truck mechanic in the army we could not figure out what was wrong with my car. We replaced the fuel filter fuel pump coils, spark plugs and ignition control module and it still wouldn't idle correctly or basically run at all. I initially took it to automax and they charged me $155 to "diagnose" it but told me that they didn't really know what was wrong with it and gave me an $800 quote to fix a tiny leak on the lower intake manifold... I drove the car there and the car wouldn't even start when I went to pick it up. I had the spark plug wires labeled, number one had a piece of tape on it so I immediately noticed that they weren't in the correct position. I fixed those but still barely made it out of the parking lot before the car died and ended up towing it over to action automotive. They were friendly, fairly priced and figured out the problem. Apparently my alternator wasn't working correctly so I did have them replace that and after cleaning the mass air flow sensor the car was running and they told me I could come pick it up. When I came to pick it up however they had the same hesitation and sputtering problem and died right away so I went back in and they told me to hold on, they stopped everything they were doing and determined that just cleaning the mass air flow sensor wasn't enough and that it needed to be replaced. They ordered the part, it was dropped off 10 minutes later and they only charged me cost for the parts and no additional labor apologizing for the hassle. It really was no hassle and I will be referring everyone I know to action automotive from here on out! Thanks guys, my car is running great and this nightmare is finally over! I'm so glad I didn't give another $793 to AutoMax for something that wouldn't even have fixed it!

I have several vehicles here in Prescott. From usual maintenance (oil changes and tire rotations etc), I have become painfully aware of shops that do the bare minimum, charge high prices, upcharge where ever they can...most reading this know exactly what I'm speaking of. The lack of basic knowledge in the automotive repair shops is abundantly clear. I've spun my share of wrenches as a heavy equipment mechanic, so maybe I'm jaded in my view of these shops. All that being said...I own a restomod Chevy. Lots of problems with fueling, oil leaks and little stuff the builder just failed to perform correctly. As an old guy now, I am unable to do this things myself. Having taken the car to a supposed expert in the field....let's just say....that's another story entirely. Let's jump ahead....after cruising the internet, I stumbled on Action Automtive Repair. Read all their ratings and made an appointment. Dropped the car off, met the crew and left it in their hands. You can judge a business by the front office...clean and organized. Shop was busy, no junk, no accumulated Trash from other projects....all of you know what I mean. A day or so later ( Eric -owner, Justin - front office and Steven - Mechanic gave us a full assessment of what our car needed - fueling issues and oil leaks....Other shops couldn't fix!!! 90 year old car with moder mill and running gear with 10k miles on the clock and admittedly beyond my ability to fix. Today: new Sniper2 fuel injection system, oil leaks resolved and runs like a 383 stroker should. So, lengthy as my review is...you need to know where the real automotive repair shop is... Action Automotive Repair is 💯 % my go to. Thanks guys!@

The job was done faster then expected and at cost. Thx Action auto. If you have problems with your car, be it air conditioning, transmission or other. Get a hold of Eric at action Auto. They do it right for a fair price

My Nissan Xterra hasn’t stalled since I took it in for repair here (so happy!). I will return if I have anymore problems. The service was good and they were polite and easy to talk to.
