We had the most incredible experience with Greta our tour guide with Arctic Adventures on our Private Golden Circle Tour! This was truly the highlight of our trip to Iceland. Every stop on the tour felt like stepping into a postcard. 🇮🇸 Thingvellir National Park: The stunning beauty and historical significance left us in awe. Walking between the tectonic plates was unforgettable! 🇮🇸 Gullfoss Waterfall: Breathtaking is an understatement. The power and majesty of the falls were mesmerizing. 🇮🇸 Geysir: Watching the geysers erupt was thrilling—nature’s own show! The bonuses made this tour even more special! 🇮🇸 We had a chance to see the beautiful Icelandic horses up close, which was such a treat. They’re as friendly and majestic as everyone says! 🇮🇸 Stopping at Fridheimar Tomato Farm was an unexpected delight. The fresh tomato soup and homemade bread were delicious, and learning about their sustainable farming was fascinating. Our guide Greta was fantastic—knowledgeable, friendly, and patient with all our questions and photo stops. This private tour allowed us to move at our own pace, which made the experience even more enjoyable. I can’t recommend Arctic Adventures and our tour guide Greta enough. If you’re visiting Iceland, this tour is a must! 🇮🇸 Also, it is a long day so I recommend bringing water and snacks.

Really nice travel agency! First we did the aurora tour with a mini bus (around 32 people) and our tour guide was Greta. She was really motivated and kept the spirit of everyone alive! The sky was clear and the activity was also good so we were able to see dancing lights but not so bright with the naked eye. The photos were very good though! The second tour we did was the ice cave Katla. It was also really nice with a different tour guide (unfortunately I don’t remember his name). This tour was divided in two parts as we left from Reykjavik. When we arrived in Vik we changed to a super jeep (operated by another company) and drove around 40min in the snow. Quite a bumpy ride but was really funny! Our tour guide for the ice cave was a different one and he was quite funny. The ice cave always changes because the weather so there was no big ice cave and the famous circle you might see on some photos does not exist anymore. Nevertheless, the experience was great and we were able to see a polar fox frosty 🤩🦊 I do have to mention that the support is also really great! We got a discount code for the 2nd tour but it was not working, so I just called them to explain the problem, and Vlad was prompt and really helpful! I really appreciate it!

We had the most incredible experience with our host “Vicki” and driver “Lucas” we traveled from Australia and cannot recommend this enough - an absolute must! The team were kind enough to pull over to allow us to get a shot of the northern lights too! Finally Vicki you are incredible and thank you for your tremendous insights and your contagious enthusiasm throughout the tour!! 10/10 😊

My mom and I came to Iceland expecting to be amazed by the scenery. I didn’t expect, on top of that, to make friends, laugh hard enough to cry, and feel so at home so quickly—but that’s what happened on our 6-day Ring Road tour through Arctic Adventures. Most of that experience is due to our amazing guide Geirmundur, aka G, who went above and beyond for us to make this trip the experience of a lifetime. He was calm, patient, knowledgeable, and sneakily hilarious to boot. He became a friend to us and it was genuinely so sad to part ways even after just six days. On this tour we learned so much about the natural and cultural history of Iceland, everything from the elf stories of Old Year’s Day to the science of subglacial volcanoes. We did end up skipping Þingvellir and Stuðlagil canyon, which I was a little bummed about, but there just isn’t enough daylight in the winter to hit everything, and the payoff in terms of more time at other sites was worth the sacrifice. I echo a previous review’s suggestion to implement winter-specific itineraries since this one seems designed for more daylight. The first two days of this tour were jam packed with traditional tourist stops of Iceland: Gullfoss, Seljalandsfoss, Skógafoss, Geysir and Strokkur, and the Reynisfjara black sand beach on the first day; and Jökulsárlón (glacier lagoon), Diamond Beach, and the ice cave tour on the second day. After that, the crowds and towns thinned out significantly and we got a chance to really experience a wilder side of the country. We enjoyed this mixture as it allowed us to see all the popular stops on our first Iceland trip while also experiencing a part of the island that visitors don’t always make it to. In terms of accommodation, we loved all the hotels but especially the Wilderness Center on night 3, where we shared a delicious traditional Icelandic family style meal and saw the aurora borealis from the hot tub on New Year’s Eve. (Unbelievable.) The very nice hotel in Akureyri was such a treat as well. And the breakfasts were all amazing! We saw so much in six days that my brain is having a hard time processing it. I loved it all. I am so grateful for Geirmundur, for this group, and for the opportunity to see this incredibly beautiful country. I will cherish the memories formed on this trip for the rest of my life. Takk fyrir! ❤️

I had an extremely disappointing experience with Arctic Adventures, and I cannot recommend their services to anyone. During the snowmobiling tour, I was provided with a reusable balaclava that caused a severe skin rash requiring medical treatment. Despite their claims, these items were clearly not hygienic or properly sanitized. There was no warning or information on their website about the reusable nature of the gear or advice to bring personal protective equipment. This lack of transparency and care for customers’ well-being is unacceptable. Additionally, the Golden Circle combo tour was poorly organized. The time allocated to key attractions was insufficient, leaving no opportunity to fully enjoy the experience. The company’s response to my concerns was dismissive and unhelpful, refusing a refund despite clear evidence of their negligence. Their lack of professionalism, poor communication, and disregard for customer safety make Arctic Adventures a company I would strongly advise avoiding. For a service that markets itself as high-quality, they have a long way to go to meet basic customer expectations. Save your money and book with a company that values its customers.

The experience worth the price however there are few points to improve: 1 - changing facilities should be provided to allow the costumers to dress the wetsuit. It is unreasonable and painful to change the clothes in a parking area with -10 degrees. 2 - once the wetsuit is fitted, you should be able by to go straight into the water without waiting 1 hour. For the rest, our guide Federica was amazing and really prepared.

Didi was an amazing tour guide. I did the 8-day ultimate tour which is 6 days around Iceland + 1 day in Snæfellsnes peninsula + 1 day glacier motomobiling. 100% recommended this tour, I think is really complete. Pickup process was delayed as there were people running late to their stops, but we got it. On the 5th day we couldn't do the whale watching because of weather conditions but some of the people requested to rebook the activity and some other requested the refund which was really quick to come back to my account. There was a little bit of confusion when we changed tours from the 6 days to the other ones as those were just one day tour the guides didn't have space for big suitcases, so we had to make it work. I recommend this agency; I definitely would try them again. Didi, we loved you! you were a knowledgeable, kind and nice guide guy. The other two guides were good as well but not as great as Didi.

Our Ring Road tour became a wonderful winter journey thanks to our exceptional guide and driver, Geirmundur. His dedication and expertise ensured our safe travels through Iceland's stunning snow-covered landscapes, making every moment of our adventure memorable. What made this tour truly special was the amazing group of fellow travelers we met. Together with Geirmundur's professional guidance, we created wonderful memories despite the challenging winter weather and short daylight hours. A heartfelt five stars for this unforgettable experience! Wishing Geirmundur and all our lovely tour mates a happy 2025! Side note to Arctic Adventures: Consider offering more seasonally adapted itineraries during holiday periods.

Feder was amazing and so wonderful. Great guide and interesting experience. Crystal clear water, incredibly cold and not for the faint of heart. ONCE in a lifetime for sure :)
