Friendly man and actually very flavorful and delicious food! Highly recommend for a quick meal on the go. Very generous portions at affordable prices. He even gave us a free sample of fries. Thank you so much!

Avoid unless you want a stomach ache. I’ve given this cart 3 tries already and every single time the food does not taste fresh at all. I tried to ignore it and tell myself it’s just the way this place cooks their food, but it actually just sucks.

I was walking past with my daughter and there was some food. Even though we called home to see what was for dinner, the food here looked too good to pass up. We got one Combo plate to share so that we would not be too full...but next time I want my own plate. The food was so good, priced good and the chef was so friendly. If you're in the area, I would definitely recommend getting something here!

This place on corner of 56th and 3rd has the same owner as the one one 55th and 3rd. Ahmed Falafel. The Falafel is no longer deep fried as compared to several months ago. It’s grilled falafel which combined with a bland and sour banana peppers is absolutely too acidic and sour for me. Felt sick afterwards. I don’t like to write negative reviews but I’ve tried the place about three times over the past 2 months during busy and non busy hours thinking I may have had an off experience (eg maybe they didn’t fire up the fryer because it was off hours). Turns out always the same. Skip the falafel…. Try something else. Workers are nice.

Falafel over rice is THE dish from Ahmed’s. I work nearby and that’s my go-to. He doesn’t make his falafel into fried balls like other vendors. Instead he presses them down on a grill so they’re more like mini patties.
The banana peppers he adds (if you choose) gives the dish a nice bit of acidity.

Consistently delicious food on 55th! Ahmed recognizes his regulars and he's here every day of the week. Combo over rice is my usual order. Short wait, but worth it because he grills the meat on the spot, fresh.

Ahmed Falafel Food Cart is a small blue Halal food cart in Midtown East / Upper East Side area. parked on a corner. serving up a small menu of meat over rice platters, salads, and sandwiches like gyros. the trucked is normally parked on 56th St and Third Avenue from day to night. truck looks very clean and well-maintained. truck seems popular as workers in the area are constantly stopping by
ordered a combo (lamb + chicken) over rice platter. food is made-to-order so there is a little bit of a wait, but it’s worth it. the rice is fluffy; the meats are seasoned nicely, and the salad packed in adds some tasty fresh crunch. the flavors are consistent in the rice platter and the white sauce + hot sauce layers in some more flavor that soaks into the meat and rice. it’s an ample serving—great for lunch or dinner. the combo platter is $8 + tip
grill man is curt but his food speaks for itself.
