I bought and installed the 31’ fiberglass vertical for a permanent installation. Following the instructions, I extended each section and drilled a small hole for a small short screw. After those were applied I taped them over both black electrical tape. Mounted it easily over the top of a 1-1!4” pipe bracketed to the house and installed three 33’ ground radials attached to the Alpha Match. The performance has been exceptional 40-10 meters. I listen on 80m, which is less than an 1/8 wave length and it hears fine. This antenna replaced an older 5 BTV. The difference has been that this one is way easier to single man handle compared to the all aluminum BTV which had a small 80m portion you could talk on but the heavy coil on top made it difficult to manage at 32 feet. I found I just listen to that band anyways. So for me really the only differences are the fiberglass is lighter and much less expensive. Will purchase another one for a camp site I have. It would also make a great antenna for portable ops. Wind is no issue with this antenna, whereas the wind on the thicker BTV over time was the reason the mast broke. Recommend this product.

I purchased the HOA Buster but found my metal facia and soffits caused too much interference. I was able to put a long wire over a tree and get permission from the neighbor to attach to a wooden fence. The total length is about 120'. The SWR is acceptable from 1.8 to 28. Participated in Sweepstakes today and heard stations coast to coast from my Iowa location. Alpha Antenna and Steven Deines have been great with their support and response to all questions.

I own the FMJ antenna system with the added counterpoise wires. I have worked Cherbourg, France and many states within the United States. I’m able to carry everything in the supplied case which makes it very easy to use. Glad I bought it.

I purchased the HOA antenna. Not really expecting much. But it is a decent compromise antenna. In other words, works surprisingly well. SWR well within range on all bands. Build quality, good.

I have Alpha Loop now for one month and it performs just great. I'm mainly working in different digital modes on 10 watts with antenna placed in my living room. Very pleased with the purchase.

This is John Wiley, W4FID. I have been using my Alpha loop portable for about 4 months with my IC-705. Mostly FT8 but some SSB and some CW. Mostly 15 and 17 meters but lots of 20, some 30, and a little 40. The loop is in the house -- aluminum sided in the woods at ground level. Just W4FID/p --- no DX call or beach or hill top to help me along. I have about 800 QSOs. The reports I receive are like the reports I send so I am as easy to copy at their QTH as they are at mine. About half stronger than me and me stronger than about half of them. And I do work a high percentage of those I call including some very nice DX (south Pacific islands, some Africans, over the north pole into Siberia and Mongolia) and half way around the world from me to VK6s a few times. So my QRP rig and Alpha loop antenna in the house is on a par with the rest of the world. Since it's inside it's totally HOA because no one knows it's here. It was easy to set up -- maybe 6 or 8 minutes from in the bag to on the air. It works well on every band from 40 to 10. It and the tripod are very well made and I expect to be enjoying them for years to come.

Can’t be damaged. A true emergency communication antenna. Owned it for nearly a decade and never leave home without it.

great service. Getting the antenna today and hopefully will be on HF again. Not expecting miracles but something is always better than nothing. This is a life saver..

I have used an Alpha Match for the last 20 years. The antenna has provided amazing, RELIABLE performance on a consistent basis for this entire time. I have used it with the telescoping whip and the collapsible antenna, depending on circumstances- and it always surprises me! Thanks....

Excellent antennas - the FMJ is great for portable or unobtrusive for an HOA - workmanship excellent - also use the HexTenna Deluxe for portable use - both easy to set up and work great. Excellent service/communication with this company.

Not visited ( wish I could) but Steven's service and communications with customers is terrific! Highly recommended
