Great process. Awesome service. Just took a little long as had to get paperwork from different sources. Also after 1 year the payment went up by $100.00 a month. Fees are just out to lunch. Will take me 35 years to pay off $30,000.00 at 805 a month so works out to over $75,000.00 when I only got $21,000.00 because of fees. Beware people and ask for ALL info.

I contacted Alpine for a 2nd mortgage, and everything was going great until they learned that I was working with another broker on my refinancing my 1st mortgage. Then suddenly all communication stopped and getting an answer out of them or finding out what was happening with my file was like pulling teeth. How unprofessional of this one broker! I even tried to reach out to a branch manager to no avail. I'm not impressed at all. Regardless of this being a fairly large name in this industry, you'd think word of mouth referrals is paramount to the success of their business and the way they're conducting themselves, they're not going to get that.

They keep spamming ads on Hockey Night in Canada. I don't need to see the same ad 100 times in a row... When you do that ppl get annoyed and leave 1 star reviews

I'm not sure the this site is canadian. After completing their questionnaire I got a spam call. Be careful with this company when sharing personal information.

Ultra slow process. There’s no sense of urgency with the agents. It takes several weeks (not days) after a home appraisal is completed (on your dime) Day 17 and still counting…..

I found myself in some serious financial difficulties this year after I fell victim to fraud on my bank account. All of a sudden I went from comfortable to omg what am I going to do?? Listed my home for sale, but needed some short term financing based on my home ownership. After 35 years of banking with RBC they turned me down. Then I went to one of Alpine Credit's main competitors. I applied there twice. My first application was ignored so I applied again. Had an appraisal done on my home by this loan company but both the appraiser and I could not reach the company rep for a week so I checked out Alpine Credits. Bev was my financial expert and she was a breath of fresh air right from the start. She got things moving right away and always stayed in communication with me, no matter how busy she was. That woman works 7 days a week 12 hours a day from what I can tell. And while another company was ignoring my calls for a week she was calling regularly and asking for my business. The loan is expensive. But necessary. And I'm grateful that Alpine Credits was there to help me. And btw.....their rates are cheaper than their main competitor and they will also offer you a lower loan amount. The other company made me take twice as much money as I wanted. The only thing I would take issue with is the ads that say you can get approved within 24 hours. Now, all the companies say that. But in my experience it takes a week or two to get all the boxes ticked...even when you have someone like Bev working with you. I think consumers should know that. Thanks Bev. Lynn

Supper easy and fast.

Very very high pressure. Once I ask about the process I had at least 6 different agents calling and emailing trying to get me roped in. While I was on the phone with one agent I would have calls coming from other agents. Clearly commision based and they are fighting for clients. High pressure through the whole experience. High Fees and Interest as excpected. The Inspector they sent quoted a fee and even sent an invoice for that amount. just before they arrived at the house they decided to charge $112 more with no explination. Alpine agreed they should have not done that but no one ever refunded the fee. Expensive process only use if your desperate. Oh and it takes over a month to do.

Alice N. was great to work. Due to my job and other commitments I have a hard time finding and sending off documents so it took me some time. She was very helpful and pleasant to speak with and accommodated my time commitment. Process was easy to follow with her help.

They are forthcoming, I will admit. That said, I asked for 60k because that's what I needed. The broker insisted on 70k with 11k in fees to a total loan of 81k which is 21k more than I came looking for and includes, to point out again, eleven thousand in fees! To this is added interest. The double digit APR resulted in a payment of $989.00/month. Didn't catch for how long but my guess is very. To be fair, single digit amounts are sure to involve cheaper fees but larger APR. Larger amounts border on loan sharking and prey on the desperate. This monetary ask requires better legal and moral oversight. I do not suggest dealing with this company if your eyes are closed. Make an informed choice.

One star because there is no lower. This outfit give loans to anyone based on home equity. A huge percentage of their repayment comes from foreclosure. They don’t care if you aren’t working, no income, no prospects, no problem if you have equity they will give you a percentage of that in loan. But gawd help you if you miss a payment! Read the fine print! Penalties for late or short payment! Very few months and they’ll start legal action! Beware! Biggest law firms working for them. No kidding.

Very impressed! Prompt response, Bev took us through the process and had funds in a shorter time frame than the bank. Less paperwork. Highly recommend.
