We had our daughter’s first birthday party here last year so we were excited to use the same place for her party this year. I was disappointed to find out upon arriving that you no longer get to use the private room for the parties. Instead you are squeezed up in front of the bar and everyone has to sit at the booths or tall tables. This makes it hard for everyone to interact. They need to add the location change to the individual party descriptions and not underneath them on the website. I bought the cheapest package which is still over 200 dollars and you don’t even get a private area anymore. I loved having her parties here but paying that much for that space isn’t worth it. We had friends attend her party that were thinking of using the location for their daughter’s party. But upon seeing the space and price they no longer want to use this location.

We absolutely loved our first visit to MLK Play Studio! My toddler and I were meeting friends for a playdate and they had the best time. So many wonderful toys to keep them entertained, and room to explore! Katy even let them feed carrots to the bunny! We will definitely be back again soon!

My family and I had an absolutely amazing time at MHK Play Studio! This place is a true gem in Manhattan, KS. From the moment we stepped in, we were blown away by the incredible variety of activities that cater to kids of all ages.
The wind tunnel was an absolute blast! Our child couldn't get enough of the exhilarating experience as they felt the rush of air around them. The building blocks area was a dream for creative minds – it was fascinating to see our little one construct imaginative structures while learning through play.
The magnet wall was another highlight – a captivating and interactive space that kept our kid engaged for hours. They loved experimenting with magnets and discovering the magic of attraction and repulsion.
The coloring area was a colorful haven of artistic exploration. Our child’s creativity flourished as they painted and colored to their heart's content. It was heartwarming to see their face light up with pride at their creation.
One remarkable thing about MHK Play Studio is that it truly caters to all ages. Even a baby that’s just learning to crawl around can have a ball! We brought our toddler who is 16 months, and we wish we had gone sooner. The studio has carefully curated activities that are safe and enjoyable for infants as well. It's heartening to know that the studio is a haven for families with children of all ages.
We visited on a Sunday afternoon, and I must say, it felt like a haven of safety for our toddler. The staff was attentive and the entire space was clean and well-maintained, allowing us to relax and enjoy quality family time without any worries.
If you're looking for a delightful family outing in Manhattan, look no further than MHK Play Studio. The wind tunnel, building blocks, magnet wall, and coloring area, along with their inclusivity for even the youngest members, make it an exceptional destination. We can't wait to return for more fun-filled adventures!
Thank you, MHK Play Studio, for providing such a wonderful space for families to create lasting memories

I sent this to the owner and got no response so I’ll share my review.
I have a 1 year old daughter. I brought my daughter there for her birthday with my parents and husband. The lady with orange hair and a brunette were there. They were not welcoming and they gave a lot of dirty looks to my daughter and completely stared her down for several minutes annoyed by her presence. I suggest checking the cameras for April 1st around 3:10-3:40 PM. This was a very odd encounter and I’m not sure if my daughter and I did something wrong but we will not be returning unless you have different, welcoming staff. It was very disheartening and just awkward. When you go to places like these, you want a better vibe and to see smiling faces. The employees just looked miserable and treated us odd. My mom was very confused because I had spoken very highly about the play studio and they were excited to check it out with my daughter.

Our home school group reserved the studio and everyone loved it! Coordinating reservations was a bit tricky. Hopefully going forward we will be able to come to an agreement easier.

Over all a nice & clean place to take your kiddos for indoor fun, the membership fee is reasonable. The staff is ok, with the exception of Olivia she is amazing. They have cute animals throughout the facility. I also highly recommend stopping by their little gift shop. The reason for three stars is that they are unorganized when it comes to admin, today 3/16 I walked in a little before 2 pm. To find out they had spring break camp going on and that they were closed to everyone else. So we didn’t get to come in, that’s fine, where I have an issue is that they don’t communicate this clearly. I had been away for three weeks so coming back assuming they had the same hours. Not a news letter or text letting members know they were changing hours for this week. The only way I would have known this was happening was to check Google but on their website it still had the original hours of operation. Moving forward I hope they become better organized in communicate with their members.

Great place to let the kids burn off excess energy. So many different stations to keep any child occupied. Highly recommend!!

When originally booking the party room for my daughters birthday, I had spoken with a lady on the phone about the cost of renting the space because I told her I already bought everything (food & decorations) all I needed was a more open space to have the party and tables and chairs. She specifically told me “oh okay perfect then you will just need the basic package.” Which was $195 for only an hour and a half which wasn’t communicated. I had the impression that it was for the whole day? Maybe I should have asked more details about that. But anyways, we were given one hour and 30 minutes to have the birthday party. We were running out of time since the party consisted of 1-3 year olds and as a parent you would know how difficult it is trying to keep everything orderly lol. So we asked for an extra 30 minutes and I was willing to pay the extra fee for the time added. After the party was over I was told that I will be billed for the time and clean up. Later I got an email invoice that included the time fee of course and a “food contract” ? I asked why I had that added on since I brought my own food which they agreed that was fine with no additional charge to the $195 I had already paid. They continue to insist that I agreed to the food contract prior to booking. Wouldn’t you think that their “food contract” means that they will be providing the food? Well I guess it doesn’t in this case, it actually means that if you bring your own food they also charge you for that? How confusing. They also said that their are policy agreements when booking but I never received a pdf of that or was even told about it to begin with. Either way. The whole thing was very confusing, not very open and clear what all your buying and not buying, and felt like it was just a money grab. Although the only thing that was nice about this place was a young lady named Olivia that helped decorate the room, she was very helpful and sweet.

Cute place with lots of creative toys for kids and adults that never really grew up. We don't come often enough, but enjoy every second when we are there. There's a cool magnet wall to build tracks, foam blocks, play grocery stuff, live birds and rabbits, and unique wood toys to build stuff. They also have a craft room to paint and color and such. This room may be reserved for parties.

We love MHK Play Studio! My little one loves the wide variety of toys and manipulatives. While mommy loves that the toys are open ended and educational. We also enjoy all the fun classes!

Had my 6 year olds birthday party here and it was amazing! I'm not going to lie, I was a bit nervous because I had never even stepped foot in this place before, let alone knew it existed until I was looking for places to have my daughter's birthday party. I do not regret taking the risk and booking a party here, at a place I've never been to! We chose the innovator party and everything was taken care of, I barely had to lift a finger! The decorations, cupcakes, the slime activity (which costs extra but was worth it!) and even the invitations and party favors were all included. It was 2 hours long and the kids were constantly playing there is so much to do there for any age of kid. I even got down and started playing with some of the toys too! When you first walk in it does look a little baby-ish but looks are definitely deceiving in this case because a party of about 10 kindergartners kept busy and had fun the entire time! The lady that facilitated it all was wonderful and so sweet to all the kiddos and answered all my questions effectively and was quick about responding and staying in touch about the plans. She definitely knows what she is doing and is awesome with kids of all types and ages and made sure no one felt left out and never made me feel like a burden or like she didn't want to be doing what she was doing. You can tell she genuinely loves her job and that's more than I can say about employees at other children's indoor play places I've been to. The ONLY, and I really do mean only, negative thing I have to say about our experience is the water in the bathroom was freezing cold when I washed my hands. But I may not have given it enough time to warm up either.
I would definitely recommend for birthday parties. I am even considering getting a membership because my daughter already wants to go back and her party was just a couple hours ago. It seems expensive but it is worth the money to see your kids happy and knowing they are learning and playing at the same time in a safe inviting environment. You won't be disappointed! Thank you MHK play studio for a wonderful birthday for Kenz!

Our family celebrated my grandsons fourth birthday party here and it's a mix of creation and calm. The activities keep your child engaged in a calm relaxing atmosphere. Parents can really engage with their child here. It's lovely with coffee and baked goods. They also offer products for sell to take home. Great for children, families, birthday parties, weekend fun spot, visit this place you won't be disappointed.

Both my kids had a lot of fun. The place is very clean, well organized. With the open concept it is easy to keep track of kids even when it's busy. As a parent of two kids who run in different directions, it was not stressful to keep up with them. We will definitely be back.
