Hello Brianna. I apologize. He should have run it with clothes in it too. He thought the shock absorbers were weak and that is why it was shaking. It might not have been worth doing that repair on your machine. Please give me a call if you'd like me, the owner, to come and check it again for you with clothes in the machine. Dear Whirlpool, this is a known wiring problem but you are still selling this style of side by side refrigerator with the icemaker in the door that needs so many wires to go into the door that it breaks them after a few years, and you made it so the entire door has to be replaced to fix this problem. I've been doing this for 25 years now. For most of my career I exclusively recommended Whirlpool products. They really were the best. But that just isn't true any more, when you build things like this, and keep building them when you know they are failing. I hope you will do better moving forward. Sincerely, Every appliance repairman in the industry... Dallan, I'm sorry you bought this refrigerator with this problem. I've tried to resolder the wires together but because they are so close to the pinch point it just breaks them again after a few months and the wires are foamed into the door with no way to repair them without taking a can opener to the metal panel. Sorry!
