Fascinating tour We booked the tour on-line in advance to guarantee a place in the 9.30am English tour (though it seemed tickets were still available on-site on that day). This is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Poland (it was busy even in October), so didn't want to take chances. We were staying in Krakow, and took the local train to and fro (the site is a short walk from the station).As you kick off, there's a steep descent of 500+ steps down, not for the claustrophobic! Thankfully on your return, you have an elevator going back up. Also be prepared to walk, as you cover almost almost 3kms.Our guide was entertaining and informative, there's much to see. The mine is a testament to the efforts and creative abilities of the former workers, the sculptures are incredible and the crowning glory is the Chapel of St. Kinga. A must-visit.
