Lovely place, cottage was very nice everything you needed was in there, very clean, hot tub was warmed up ready and a very pleasent place to be. My only negative about the weekend was the internet connection wasnt very fast, you couldnt watch a Netflix movie without buffering every few seconds and the bedding must of had some protector on it and it was very noisey to sleep in.

Seems like it's in the middle of knowhere, But only 5 mins away from pickering. Very peaceful

Everything you need for a getaway...peaceful surroundings and a brilliant base for exploring and adventures. Stayed at Barker Stakes every month now for 6 months and wouldnt want to stay anywhere else now. The accommodation is clean and airy...light and welcoming...amd has everything you need. A great home from home. Christmas came early this month and I caused much confusion to the other guests by decorating with a Christmas gonk theme...warm, clean and everything you'd want for a Christmas getaway. Steve and Sarah kindly indulged me by providing a pop up Christmas tree...it's those little thoughtful touches that make this an amazing place to stay.

Friendly welcome, clean and comfy lodge that was equipped with everything we could need. We enjoyed the hot tub and wandering in the well maintained grounds. Great outdoor barn with table tennis and table football. Beautiful, quiet location but only about 1 mile from Pickering. Not far to great walks and countryside. Fantastic customer service from the owners when we accidentally left things behind. Wonderful weekend, we hope to return.

This was a great lodge on a fantastic site, 2 miles out of Pickering. Was very reasonable priced. Extremely clean. Owners really helpful. Bedrooms were small but only as you would expect from a lodge and living area was really large. Kitchen well equipped. Would definitely stay again.

Absolutly stunning lodge perfect location. My children loved seeing the animals and playing on the park. The rooms were immaculate will definitely reccomend people to stay here.

A lovely place to relax and recharge for a few days. Welcoming and helpful owners. Beautiful location within walking distance from town. Can't wait for our next visit, many thanks for a wonderful break!

We just spent a few days in Lodge 13. We had such an amazing peaceful stay. Just what we needed. Straight away I made friends with the cats. They are so friendly. Everyday we went to see the animals. Pigs, goats, alpacas, rabbits and guinea pigs. There was also a horse with it's foall in the top field. Every morning and evening I had my mug of tea and went to see the alpacas. The owners, Sarah and Steve are so friendly and chatty. We got on well with them. We met one of the sons when he was feeding the goats. Nice lad. The lodge itself is like home from home. So cozy and clean. Everything in the lodge is good quality. Good WiFi connection. The central heating kept the lodge a nice temperature. The hot tub was so nice to use. Even when the temperature dropped at night, or when it was drizzling. With the lights off at night, the stars are so bright. We just totally chilled out in it. The one and only thing I can criticise it the road round the back of the play area is full of pot holes but I assume that will be fixed one day. All the rest of the roads and paths are gravelled and level so no bother. We will definitely be going back. We totally fell in love with the place. Thanks so much for a lovely stay.

Another fab stay , 3rd time here. This time we stayed in The Dairy. 1 bedroom very spacious, everything you need. Has a hot tub, only used couple of times due to weather. A little suggestion , maybe put a bit of shelter over tub so could use more when weather not too good. Nice to see a new addition to farm... the little pigs . Hopefully will be back nxt year. This is a very peaceful location with everything you need for self catering. There is plenty to do and visit without having to travel very far. It is a very friendly place to visit. We have been going for many years and will continue to do so. Next year is already booked.

Great stay. We booked a number of lodges for a family celebration and we all loved it. Each lodge had privacy while using the hottubs and there was plenty to do between the animal, park and games room for all the family

We where so lucky to spend a few days with the best hosts you could ever wish for And the accommodation is 5 star + super warm, clean ,everything you needed was in our pod .Can't wait to go back Big big thank you GRAHAM & LESLEY

I took my 4 year old son here and we couldn’t have had a better time. Spotlessly clean cottage. Comfortable and quiet. The facilities for children is first class. The owners also let the children help feed the farm animals on site. Reallly well located for Pickering town (5 mins)Whitby(35 mins) Scarborough (40 mins) Malton (15 mins) Highly recommended

I took my 2 children for a short break we had a lovely time we stayed in the camping pods for 3 nights. Lovely location and peaceful, the pod had everything needed including microwave hob and a great shower

A lovey spot to relax. Friendly welcome and great facilities for all young and older. Fantastic walks to Pickering and local facilities. Lovely trip on the north Yorkshire Mores Railway. All in all a great little break.

Came for 4 nights with family (2 kids age 7 & 11). The most amazing holiday let - hot tub was lively, play area & games barn brilliant & we loved meeting the animals. The lodge was clean with everything needed. All in all, brilliant, highly recommend!
