Little Paradise in Ontario This was our second autumn visit to the Bartlett Lodge and as per our first, it did not disappoint. It is small, intimate, and the staff make you feel like you are a person, not a number. I can't say enough about the incredible dining and food experience let alone the amazing staff that make it that extra special. Marilyn's own contributions to the menu DO NOT disappoint and I am so grateful she was willing to share her incredible recipes. Big Thank you Marilyn.The boat transfer staff are always great and willing to lend a hand with your luggage and share a good story.& Nick, as always is such a kind host with the biggest of smiles. The cottage we stayed in was so simple yet perfect and it is a fantastic spot for a romantic getaway especially in the fall with the beautiful backdrop of the Algonquin colours.Can't wait to go back to this little paradise in Ontario.

Quality Lodgings at Bartlett Call the boat and cross Cache Lake to Bartlett Lodge. The rustic cabins are clean and have a wood burning stove as well as electric heating, so the damp of the start of the fall wasn't an issue. Food is excellent quality freshly prepared from a fairly small menu, but bring your own wine. Service is both friendly and efficient. The Lodge is an excellent base for exploring the Algonquin, or doing your own thing around, or on the lake.

Awesome fall trip to Algonquin Park - Bartlett Lodge We came here for 4 days, 3 nights and it was absolutely awesome.The meals at breakfast and dinner are worth the 5 Star rating based on presentation, freshness quality of food ingredients and over all the extremely good service from all the young ladies in the dinning room.WE strongly recommend Bartlett Lodge and will be returning at some point in the future.

Combines nature, comfort and gourmet dining Rustic but very well maintained and comfortable accommodation in beautiful Algonquin Park. Staff were extremely friendly and responsive. Meals were awesome. This is a small resort where guests and staff recognize and greet each other on grounds, dining room, shuttle boat

Guided tour a highlight of Bartlett Lodge stay Bartlett Lodge is a great place to stay within Algonquin Park because it's a good way from the highway (you get to the lodge by water taxi) so it's very peaceful.We did the Cache Lake Cruise and Views guided tour, with the lodge's naturalist, Malcolm (aka "Malgonquin"!) which was a great way to learn about the park, the lodge, some history and some wildlife. I was advised to book any guided tour (Bartlett Lodge offers 3 tours) at least 2 weeks in advance to ensure availability.

Glorious fall colours in Algonquin made all the better by stellar service. We stayed in the Thomson Tent - the "glamping" option. Very cozy and even when the temps dropped below freezing outside, we stayed warm as the staff provided us with an extra heater. Food was gourmet without being pretentious, and plenty of it. Boat to the parking lot always at the ready. Decent sized trail on the property and so close to so many others, we definitely want to come back.

Bartlett Lodge Day Tours Every year for the last 4 years, we have had a wonderful 3 night stay at Bartlett lodge, in Algonquin Park. The lodge offers several day tours in the park, with their Lodge Naturalist. This year, we signed up for the full day Canoe Lake: In The Footsteps of Tom Thomson tour. It surpassed our expectations. Our guide has done extensive research on the Tom Thomson saga and is extremely knowledgeable. It was a thrill to stand in the places where Tom Thomson ventured and visualize the landscape that inspired his paintings. Anyone who is a Tom Thomson fan or who has a curiosity about the history of the park would love this tour.The Naturalist also offers a half day tour: Cache Lake - Cruise and Views, which we signed up for last year. This was a very worthwhile cruise of Cache Lake. Our guide spoke of the past and present. He also gave us access, through a portage site, of a hiking trail that leads to a wonderful vista of the park. Although you can do the full hike on your own, for some, it is rather lengthy. The guide offers a shortened version of the hike with his tour and you can avoid the parking difficulties, especially during peak season. Thank you to Malcolm, for some great adventures during our memorable stays at Bartlett Lodge.

One of a kind getaway We've often dined at Bartlett but had never stayed until this week.It is a touch of rustic luxury in the heart of Algonquin Park and the place to go if you want total relaxation while treating yourself to some pretty fine dining.This is not inexpensive accommodation and part of the feeling of luxury comes from the beautiful location and the welcoming hospitality. Yes, there are luxury hotels that surpass Bartlett Lodge but nowhere will you find such a glorious setting. Quiet and serene with stunning scenery and views, you can always opt for a more active day by enjoying the paddling and trail on the site, or take the shuttle boat to venture into the park for some serious hiking or paddling there. Regardless of whether you are active or if you prefer to relax and read, you will be charmed by the breakfast and dinner offerings that generally surprise with their creative touches in the kitchen combined with some solid presentations of culinary standards.The cabin we had was Summer Day and it offered privacy, a screened in balcony looking out over Cache Lake, updated bathroom facilities and just the kind of cottage feel we were looking for. Complimentary paddling gear was just outside our door.The service was quietly efficient and always friendly, from the shuttle operators to the waitresses, to the office staff. If you are wedded to your electronics and have difficulty disconnecting, Bartlett Lodge might not be for you. Then again, it might be just what you need!I look forward to returning again next year!

Our favourite northern Canada place to stay ! We recently got home from our annual trip to Bartlett Lodge. It is simply wonderful- peaceful, scenic, cabin resort with exquisite food as a bonus! The most amazing caring happy staff, and very cozy. This time we decided to book the 1/2 Day Cache Lake tour with the Bartlett lodge historian, naturist, and professional photographer, Malcom. We thought we knew lots about the history, the wildlife the area, the lakes, the trails etc, but Malcom knew so much more and shared the his knowledge with interesting stories, tour locations on the lake, and even a short little hike to a beautiful lookout of the Algonquin area. We highly recommend Bartlett Lodge for a get a way for families, solos or couples. All the cabins are wonderful but we always choose one directly on the lake. See you next year Bartlett Lodge!
