We hosted an annual conference of 200+ people here in Oct 2024 and had a great weekend. The staff were very friendly and incredibly helpful. The grounds were beautiful and the facilities were clean, and both provided ample opportunity for our group to gather, connect, and have fun. We hope to come back every year.

This is our second year bringing our entire Senior Class to Camp Schodack. We had an amazing time. The staff is really the best part of the retreat. Thank you Chiara for organizing such a great 2 days for our students. We will be back next year!

WOW! AMAZING! BEAUTIFUL! Is the basis of everything I experienced during the planning and weekend of my wedding at Berkshire Retreat Center. The staff was amazing and always willing to lend a helpful hand! They were so kind and there whenever one of my guests needed anything. With having a non traditional wedding at a summer camp, all of my guests did not have high expectation going into the weekend. By the end everyone was raving about everything from the food, to the cabins, to the activities, to the staff. They are all still raving about how amazing of an experience it was weeks later! I am so thankful for the Berkshire Retreat Center and could not have imagined having my wedding anywhere else!

We stayed at Camp Schodack during our church retreat at the end of the summer. It was amazing! Everyone from the staff was so great and friendly to all of us. Our kids enjoyed all of the games provided! We hope to be back next year!

Had the weekend summercamp wedding of our dreams! Carter and the whole team are so welcoming and professional. The attention to detail was amazing. I had a vision, explained it to them, and they made it happen! We also had the camp cater the entire weekend, and the food was amazing! If you're thinking of booking this venue, do it!

My wife and I had our wedding over a weekend at the Berkshire Retreat/Camp Schodack and it was absolutely magical. The location is gorgeous, the people were incredibly kind and accomidating, and they all helped me our event one of the best weekends of our lives. Do yourselves a favor and host your event here, you'll thank yourselves later!

We held a Wedding Reception for 100 at Camp Schodack. It was absolutely wonderful, better than we ever expected. Our guests had a fantastic time and commented all weekend long about how great the staff were. We found Carter and the outstanding team he has developed to be very talented and very easy to work with. The staff knew what we needed before we did!

Carter and his team at the center are absolutely amazing! They are fun and easy to work with on top of being beyond helpful with everything and anything you need. This is a really cool place to host your event/wedding and make it a memoriable event that is several days long with your guests on site! If you are looking for an outdoor space that is unique, fun and with amazing staff to match this is definitely the place to book.

For the last 3 years Carter and Camp Schodack have graciously allowed our group of young-at-heart adults to invade their grounds as we host our annual Camp Takeover, an adult summer camp weekend. To say that they are accommodating and helpful would be the understatement of the century. Leading up to each event Carter spends months fielding our ridiculous requests and helping us make our absurd dreams a reality, just so a bunch of overgrown children can live out the summer camp dreams. During the weekend the Camp staff work tirelessly to ensure that the campus is always clean and set up for whatever we need. They help run events for us and are always the most friendly, helpful, and accommodating of people. We are always astonished that they allow our group hooligans back but consider ourselves so lucky that they do! If you are looking to host an event you will not find a more beautiful setting with such amazing amenities, nor will you find a staff that exhibits such grace and professionalism regardless of the challenges thrown at them. 10/10 would recommend chatting with Matt the night watchman!

Hosting my first retreat with Berkshire Retreat Center was fabulous. I have heard nightmares from friends and colleagues hosting in the past and everything about hosting here exceeded my expectations. The team was so friendly to me and my guests/students. They were supportive at every stage of planning. The food is great, the facilities warm and welcoming. The weather was cold; but they did absolutely everything they could to keep us comfortable.

Our wedding at Camp Schodack was amazing! We had a large wedding (200+ guests) and everyone had a fantastic time. People loved all of the camp activities, the late bonfires, and reviews of the reception dinner were glowing! My wife's family is huge so we knew that we wanted a large guest count from the start of planning. We were disappointed with the astronomical pricing that we were seeing with more traditional wedding venues/packages. The way that Camp Schodack did things scaled great with guest count. We were able to throw a full weekend party with a beautiful ceremony and reception for less that we would have paid on a traditional wedding package. A good amount of DIY, spreadsheet-making, and communication was involved but that wasn't a downside for my wife 🙂. The flexibility that they allow in planning was awesome and the staff were great to work with. One tip that we (and Camp Schodack) absolutely recommend for future weddings is to hire a coordinator for the actual wedding and reception part of the weekend. Our ceremony went off without a hitch but we had to do a little bit of live coordinating during our reception to make sure things happened on time and in order. This is by no means a complaint to/about the camp. Carter recommended that we hire a coordinator several times for this very reason and we ignored his advice 😬. We would absolutely recommend this venue to anyone!

We had our wedding at Camp Schodack in Sept 2022, and it was a total BLAST! We toured several different summer camps in the area, and Camp Schodack was by far the best option. The camp itself is incredible- it is beautiful, spacious, and has so many fun activities (archery, go carts, zip lining, rock climbing, basketball, soccer, hockey, swimming pool, water slide, etc). The cabins were nice, and there were enough private cabin spaces for all of our guests to have their own spaces. The food was absolutely delicious. The cost was also the best of the summer camps we toured. Importantly, the staff was amazing in getting the cabins ready for our guests, running all of the activities, and making sure the wedding activities went smoothly. They really worked so well together and were very efficient. It made our Wedding day way more relaxing than it could have been. Carter was fantastic, and thought of all of the details. Upon seeing the decorated dining hall for the first time, we were pleasantly surprised at how nicely it turned out. It was so fun having the whole place to ourselves for the entire weekend, and it was a fantastic way to spend the weekend with our loved ones. We cannot recommend this venue highly enough.

In all my years of throwing events, I've never had a venue staff as attentive and gracious and just truly helpful! Thanks to Carter and his team for making Likeminds 6.0 a true success :-)

A beautiful venue that has so many facilities, great staff and was very well equipped to host our large camping and music event.

A beautiful location with absolutely amazing staff! Our large group spent five nights in this lovely Berkshire retreat center enjoying the many activities available on site. The kids were over the moon, racing from rock climbing to go-carts and back again. Adults relaxed and enjoyed the delicious meals and evenings around the campfire. The staff seemed to anticipate our needs before we could speak them. They helped us coordinate a dance night, a talent show, and a fun adult olympics. All the staff was great with kids. Highly recommend this spot!

We spent five days here with a group of 50. We had a great time. Amenities were vast and offered plenty of fun times. The staff were helpful, inclusive, friendly, and communicative throughout the whole process. We will definitely look to come back here again!

Truly an amazing experience for families!! We stayed at Camp Schodack for a five day family summer getaway. The staff was beyond friendly, helpful, accommodating, cheerful and warm. The facilities, surrounded by trees everywhere, are extensive to cater to everyone’s likes. We were able to do several activities including many different sports, games, spiritual gatherings, dances, gymnastics, indoor/outdoor meals, arts and crafts and a great talent show at the end of our stay. Want to go again next year!!
