Both of my girls, aged 8 and aged 11 years old, attend English and maths tutoring with Beth and since having tutoring the girls have gained more confidence in their abilities and my eldest received great grades for her English and maths SAT'S. I would highly recommend Beth.

We are so pleased with the incredible progress our daughter, Rosie, has made thanks to her wonderful tutor, Beth. When Rosie started, she was struggling with math, but now she’s not only meeting but exceeding expectations! Her English skills have also blossomed under Beth’s guidance. Beth has been a fantastic source of support and encouragement, always creating a positive and engaging learning environment. Communication with Beth was easy and open, and she had a great ability to identify Rosie’s needs. Each lesson was perfectly tailored to help Rosie thrive. Mrs Carlisle was recommended to us via friends as we identified our year 5 daughter was struggling to keep up with the primary school maths curriculum and in turn with her peers, causing upset when at home. Owing to school pressure and expectations for year 6 SATS, we decided investment with a tutor was needed. Mrs Carlisle replied promptly to our contact and showed an understanding and empathy with our concerns and, with our daughter of whom was nervous about extra maths tuition! We needn’t have been worried. Our daughter has gained confidence throughout her weekly sessions with Mrs Carlisle and demonstrates an ability and understanding of basic maths arithmetic which was lacking and unable to be remedied in her school class setting. The investment also allowed for our daughter to secure a SATs score of the expected national standard!! A target which we never thought possible prior to the commencement of the maths tuition. SATS scores are of no significance to us as parents, but affording our daughter the confidence to sit the exams without distress is purely down to Mrs Carlisle’s support. I cannot recommend Mrs Carlisle enough for any child struggling to achieve their academic potential, we knew our daughter had the ability, but owing to Mrs Carlisle’s individualised and personal approach, we will continue to invest in Mrs Carlisle for our daughter as she moves into secondary education and recommend her to others seeking such support for their child.

I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Beth for private tutoring she is just fantastic! My daughter absolutely loves attending sessions with her and her school teacher is amazed at the progress achieved in such a short space of time. Beth is friendly and professional and always provides helpful feedback at the end of every session. She has really helped my daughter grow In confidence and I hear her lessons are always such fun! Nothing is ever too much trouble and I really feel Beth goes above and beyond for her pupils - we cannot thank you enough Beth!

My daughter has been going to Beth for a number of years she really enjoys going and her confidence has grown loads. If she’s finding something difficult at school to do with maths Beth and her will go through the problem together. Totally recommend Beth to anyone! She has a Very friendly nature and very approachable and welcoming. My daughter has Autism and really struggles with meeting new people, but she has really formed a great bond with Beth already and is very understanding and accommodating to her needs! My daughter has always spoke negatively about maths, because of her struggles but already in a short space of time is speaking positively about maths, thanks to Beth! ☺️

I have been visiting Beth for over a year for maths tuition. I really didn't like maths at school but now I love it. Beth has taught me ratios, short division, long division, percentages, fractions, how to convert units and much more! I am so much more confident and my teachers have noticed a big improvement. Beth is an amazing tutor, she tutored my son in English for approximately 2 years. He was reluctant to go but she made him feel really comfortable and he even enjoyed his lessons!! His ability and confidence came on leaps and bounds and he moved from middle level in bottom class to middle level top class, achieving well over 100 in his SATS test. Beth was always great at communicating with me, giving me an update on the lesson and his progress each week. I can not recommend her highly enough.

I first met Beth when she taught at my daughters school. I sought Beth's help when my eldest daughter was struggling with secondary school math, she helped my daughter gain confidence and she no longer struggles or gets panicked by math work. Beth is now helping my youngest daughter with Primary School Math. Beth is patient and understanding, she knows how to communicate with the children, she has always communicated with me and clearly has a very good understanding of different children's needs and understanding. I find Beth's charging methods fair and reasonable, she never pressures me to spend more than i can afford and has gone above and beyond on many occasions offering advice and help, it is clear Beth loves to teach and her passion for teaching has a real positive impact.

My son Harry (Y5) began face to face lessons with Beth prior to lockdown. She quickly moved to online - this continuity was just what we needed. During lockdown she has been able to teach the areas she assessed as needing attention. Further, she adapts lessons if a school topic needs consolidating. This flexibility is what I think makes her so popular. I have found Beth's support invaluable over lockdown and nothing is ever too much trouble. Harry thinks she is fabulous too - her lessons are always engaging and he often has a smile on his face during his online lesson. Any homework she sets he has been, on the whole, able to do on his own and in this way he has grown in confidence. The schools are doing a fantastic job with home learning and Beth's additional guidance is the icing on the cake. Thankyou Beth.

I was recommended Beth by a friend who is also a teacher.
