Had lunch, reminiscing as this was the location for our wedding reception many moons ago

The service was excellent. I was surprised that service was not shown on the bill but I suppose it's a good idea to use cash whenever possible. I had the beef roast. I got there quite late - 3:30pm ish. I prefer my roast beef pink in the middle. It possibly was when the place opened but it's tricky to keep beef both pink and warm for several hours. Everything else was perfect. I personally prefer everything to be adequately seasoned by the chef. I know that's not a universal opinion. Seasoning it myself is obviously no problem. All in all - absolutely delicious.

What a wonderful pub restaurant, it'll be a must visit whenever we're heading to Stansted in the future. We were passing nearby after arriving back into the airport about 6pm and remembered we'd passed this pub a while back and it looked good from the outside .. We stooped of hoping the kitchen was open, which it was:) Really fresh looking pub inside with lots of charm still. Great selection of beers, which I'll need to go back for! Great menu and we both couldn't resist the looks of the fish and chips. I cheekily asked about the portions as was quite hungry and was assured they were good.. Blimey, it was a great plate of food, fish was large with plenty of chips and lots of fresh peas. One of the best restaurant fish and chips we've had. Beer batter was fantastic too. Friendly staff, fair prices .. this pub is hard to beat and we will be back.

Staff are amazing, very hospitable! Food was top notch! Great night for the misses birthday. Highly recommend and will definitely be back!

Never been to this pub before so didn't know what to expect!? Went for a friends birthday 🎂 and the food was excellent service was brilliant even though they were very busy very pleased and would highly recommend but make sure you book in advance!! Cheers 🍻

Absolutely fantastic. Visiting our daughters and grandson from Bath and by chance went here for a Sunday Roast. Absolutely the best Sunday Roast I've ever had and the compliments from around the table it would seem I wasn't alone. The cauliflower and cheese was absolutely AMAZING. Everything so tasty and a massive portion sizes which was exactly what we all needed. The lady that served us was so friendly and helpful and nothing was too much for her. 10/10 for service, location and food. Don't miss out on experiencing this hidden gem!! Definitely going back on our next trip to visit the family!!!
