This restaurant is no French food at all. Do not recommend. The goat cheese salad itself was also cooked, I think it’s been a few days out. There is no bread with the goat cheese, which is not typical of how this dish is usually served in France. Traditionally, a salad with hot goat cheese includes the cheese on toast, which was missing here. For a salad already at 15.5€, I was surprised to have to pay an additional 2.5€ for bread, especially after waiting for it to arrive after the salad had already been served. It needs time for the frozen bread to get hot I guess… I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant at all. It’s not French cuisine and certainly not the one from the Provence. Little gem Friday lunchtime & was extremely busy, had to wait 10 mins to get in & almost gave up, but glad we didn't. Great food, efficient & friendly staff with a great buzz about the place. We were tourists, but seemed to be a lot of locals there - always a good sign. Very reasonable cost as well.

Delicious food, great service I’m a regular customer at the Cafe for morning coffee and scones, always delicious. Recently I had friends visiting from Geneva and I really wanted to bring them there. We went instead for brunch as we’d been for a long walk along the coast. They were delighted with their Eggs Benedict and the Full Irish. Mellita and the staff couldn’t have been nicer, my friends were very impressed and can’t wait to visit again.

Toilets a disgrace. Staff wonderful. The food was good, we shared a BLT. Coffee arrived a bit late. Saw the same at a neighbouring table Staff are wonderful. Very friendly and chatty The bathroom was very bad. Toilet paper all over the floor. While I was attempting to wash my hands - empty soap dispensers littered the small space - a woman called out to me from the toilet - she needed tissue paper as the there was no toilet paper. An absolute disgrace. Shame on you, owner of Cafe Provence in Malahide. Is this what you are offering tourists from the UK and the North?

Quaint atmospheric eatery. Good food served quickly by friendly staff Great service and great food. Consistently good. Efficient service especially on a tight lunch break. Staff friendly and the menu is excellent. Great to see that there are sill a few decent non-chain restaurants out there. Highly recommend.

Delicious food, cosy place. The nicest takeaway Latte I’ve ever had. On many other occasions I’ve had their chicken Caesar salad (added bacon) and chips and it’s SO delicious. Would eat it everyday if I could. Massive portion and so so nice.

Disgraceful den of ineptitude Terrible terrible terrible service. Loads of staff milling around doing God k led what. I was left sitting at table for 10 minutes waiting for a menu. Then another 19 minutes tj ne served. Made to feel like I was a weight for wanting to be severed. Unbelievable. This place needs to get its act together. Disgraceful

Breakfast in Malahide Had to visit Malahide recently for an appointment, my wife came and we went here for breakfast snack. It’s cosy and the food is excellent and the staff are really nice.

Best brunch in town We Arrived on Saturday for brunch . There was a Que outside to get in but it moved quickly.. so don’t let this put you off . We got a nice table up on the top section and we’re served immediately. Food arrived super quick,portion sizes were good and everything tasted great . Between us we had the French sourdough toast, eggs Benedict ( hollandaise sauce was delicious and light) and the club baguette. Food was top notch you can see why this place is as busy as it is .. would highly recommend for a nice lunch spending a day out in malahide village. Look forward to our return super lovely staff too

Brilliant experience I just love their Eggs Benedict it’s always really tasty, and if you don’t want a full breakfast their scones with jam and cream are also delicious. The staff are so friendly and are always happy to look after any request you might have. It’s my go to place every day. Jody

Breakfast snack in Malahide Recently in Malahide on business one morning and went to Provence for a snack. It’s a nice spot, comfortable surroundings and great selection of quality food served by their lovely friendly staff. Worth a visit

Recommend Quaint, cute breakfast spot. We stopped here while on a layover and loved it. Service was excellent and the full Irish breakfast was good. Had local vibes. Cool spot

Great cafe with delicious food We went for breakfast with our son and it was delicious. Lovely cafe in the centre of Malahide with fabulous food and friendly service. The pancakes are 10/10. Staff were great with the baby and we will definitely be back. We got some scones to takeaway and the were the best Ive ever had! Would definitely recommend this cafe.

Excellent Family lunch We had a lovely family lunch in the cafe today. Cosy atmosphere and food was delicious especially the deserts 👌 Perfect location in the centre of Malahide Village.

Quality food and atmosphere Had a quick spot of food here with the family before lunch. It always has a lively atmosphere and is usually quite busy, but you'll generally get a table straightaway or only have to wait a few minutes at most. There is a great selection on the menu. Plenty of breakfast choices, quality sandwiches, full lunches and blackboard specials. I particularly like the salads though as they are very substantial. My personal favourite is the Asian duck salad. The flavours are out of this world and portion size is very generous. Delicious crispy duck, sesame seeds, mango, coriander, nuts. They have a nice range of healthy options too. The staff are very friendly and service is good. Overall it is a cosy atmosphere with local artists work on the wall. A great place for breakfast or lunch.

very poor service There are only so many times a customer should hear 'its on the way' . It seems to be the mantra for the team at Provence. Seemed to me that they simply didn't give damn, messed up the order , it can happen yes but then did nothing to attend to the problem. I've been a few times and always found it very pricey but add in the lack of care and that's enough for me. Plenty of nice places to eat in Malahide where you seem valued as a customer so I'll be giving this one a miss in future.

Out of date food Given out of date sausages in breakfast tasted rancid and was sick all day. Very disappointed and hard done by

Service very poor. Visited a few times in last two weeks and have been here regularly in last two months. Food is very good however service is very poor. Seriously lacks management and taking responsibility for seating people and taking orders efficiently and promptly. It appears nobody is in charge or managing the situation. Staff are not concentrating on the customer and attention to detail is seriously lacking. Staff should be more proactive in managing a busy restaurant more effectively and putting the customer “First” at all times.

Awful Went last weekend and was extremely dissapointed. The service was awful and the staff were rude. We waited on our food for 40 minutes and when we recived it our drinks hadnt arrived.

Quaint town, cozy atmosphere, slow service The restaurant atmosphere was cozy but the service was slow. “Brown bread” was more like simple thin wheat bread than traditional brown bread.
