Jason was wonderful! He gave us a detailed description of the current status of our furnace and a realistic picture of what to expect from a 12-year old furnace.

On Thursday, December 12th we experienced an issue with our current boiler system that heats our house and our water. The next day I called Hummingbird first thing in the morning. The person that answered the phone asked a series of questions to initially diagnose our issues. I was told, much to my surprise that a service tech would be able to come to our house between 8am and 10am and that they would give us notice 40 minutes before their arrival. I received a text with a picture of the service tech and then a phone call from our service tech, Sam. Sam arrived as promised and was personable and knowledgeable. He diagnosed the issue and pointed out that our existing unit was 20 years old and would need to be replaced soon. We were presented with some pricing options, which frankly were higher than we had anticipated and probably are higher than we would find if we shopped around. However, we have had enough experience with contractors and service people to know that a lower price cannot compensate you when you receive poor service from uncaring, unknowledgeable and less than honest contractors. We could tell that Sam enjoyed his job and actually liked working for Hummingbird which made a big impression on us. We were told that they would be able to come out the next day to do the install. Communication is huge and can head of potential problems from misunderstandings and disappointment. Within a couple of hours I received a phone call from Hummingbird telling me that they did not have the unit that we need at their supplier and that they needed to delay our install until Tuesday. We understood and were disappointed, but the fact that they kept us updated and informed was important and helped to increase our trust in them. That evening, 7pm at night they delivered several space heaters to our house. On the day of the install, James and Gino arrived. James explained what they would be doing. What would be removed and what would be staying. They put down drop clothes and when asked they even brought in a heavier duty rug to protect our flooring. The install took two days and everyone who was involved was friendly and knowledgeable. They didn’t even seem annoyed at my random questions. It is very obvious that the Hummingbird employees that we came in contact with enjoyed working for their employers and take real pride in their work. So many little touches were added that probably don’t add up to much dollar-wise, but were greatly appreciated. James is great at his job and takes pride in his work. We had, what I thought was a problem, but turned out to be nothing, and James came out on a Saturday to go through the system with us again and gave some possible explanations for what happened. Our new boiler is working great and we feel very confident with the service that we have received and will receive in the future from Hummingbird.

The service provided was exceptional. Durk Oord demonstrated a high level of professionalism, courtesy, and expertise. He is clearly a specialist in his field. Along with the QC specialist, he went above and beyond to present financial plans tailored to my needs. I was extremely satisfied with the outcome.

Jason was great. Knowledgeable, professional and friendly. Went above and beyond to prioritize repair for our furnace. Even left us a space heater to help keep us warm until the needed part came in.

They showed up early, explained everything they were doing and fixed the problem fast! Great job!

Jason was Superb, I don't have words to describe, how he explain to me step by step his diagnostic, and the best is that he was sincere and knowledgeable of what he was doing, if all the people in this company is like him I am sure this company will stay in business for ever, thanks Jason, I am glad I can request you again if I would need of your help in the near future, and thanks Hummingbird for having a good person and also very qualify. Nobody ever wants to unexpectedly replace their furnace but Hummingbird made this an actually pleasant experience. Responsive, kind, excellent communication, clean and reasonably priced. We are very thankful for their service on this very cold day.

Jason who came out and looked at my water heater was friendly and knowledgeable. Very nice young man. The guy on the phone to quote the price was nice as well. The price? Naaaaaaaah. A new water heater is about $600 to purchase. Brian quoted nearly $3,000 for the water heater and install. That was a quick “not a chance in Hades” from me. Shop around, people. Don’t just accept the first estimate you get.

Family had trouble with our furnace Sam was able to diagnose the issue right away and help us on our next course of action. He was super efficient and friendly and recommend him to anyone!!

Jason, who came out for our furnace maintenance, exceeded all expectations. He was professional, thorough, and took the time to explain everything he was doing in a way we could understand. Very pleased with everyone involved with my recent hvac & ac installation. From Jason who tried to get my old system running and explained what he was doing and testing to Brian who worked with me on quoting systems and assisted with financing to Dallis who installed both furnace and ac. Every one was very professional and friendly. And not to leave anyone out, Ashley who assisted me in completing NIMO rebate form and promptly calling me to address questions.
