Camp Clearwater never disappoints. This place offer so much and what it lacks is available nearby. So we stayed for an extended period this year (2024). And our family loves this place. The people are friendly, the staff is super, the amenities are great and the facility is awesome. CC offers a beach which is a short walk from anywhere in the camp. There are overnight accommodations as well as full time residents. The roads are paved through the entire property and wide enough for driving or touring. CC offers a couple playgrounds as well as volleyball courts, basketball courts and baseball fields. As a bonus there is an rc car track with a raised deck for visibility. The sites are a bit narrow and some are a challenge to get into but you can make them work just fine. CC offers entertainment as well with weekend bingo, bands, dancing and seasonal festivities like cookouts and car shows. Nearby is Elizabethtown for groceries and a short drive to several battlefield tours as well as Wilmington to visit the coast. All in all this place is a fun, relaxing and safe place to hang your hat for a night or a lifetime. As soon as we leave we are planning for our next visit. Give them a look you'll be happy you did.

Camping as a family is perfect. We loved every minute. There was time to play, time to relax, time to enjoy the food. We had a BLAST. Oh, and the FIREWORKS WERE FANTASTIC. Not at all what we expected, and they were fabulous! We'll be back!

We love Camp Clearwater! It is beautiful there. Very family oriented, and the kids love it! On Friday and Saturday nights, they have a dj playing dance music. A little something for everyone to dance to on the outside dance floor. We did not stay at Camp Clearwater. We would just walk there to join the activities or play in the arcade or even swim in the lake.

I LOVE THIS PLACE! NOTHING bad to say! It's so peaceful and calm. Staff is friendly. We camped in our camper. Lake is wonderful. Food at food truck is great! Only negative thing I can say is.. everything is cash only. There is an ATM on site though. If someone gives a bad review all I can say is it must be them or time they went. I have been 4 times. We went in April, May, Sept and Oct.

This is a great place to stay. Highly recommend.

We visit here often with some family members safe environment beautiful location a few food trucks, only down side is small store only there iscash only if you have a card you have to use the teller but thats about the only down side everything else is great!

We used to "overnight" here and we finally bought a permanent place. Greatest thing we have done. Loads of activities and friendly people.

Love this quiet community. If you are looking for a fun family vacation, this really is the place to be. With the ice cream shop and store on the campground, you can find treats easily. Also check out the other parts of the pavilion. There are lots of arcade games, bingo at night and on the weekend. . . . look out for LOADS of FUN with bands, karaoke, games and more. This place keeps you laughing and enjoying your time with your family. The beach is gorgeous!!! You only need to visit one time to know this is the place to be EVERY SUMMER!!!!
