Our experience has been great, we did have a power outage prior to install. Canter kept the promise and put us up in a hotel. We’re now up and running.

Canter Power Systems is contracted through Home Depot. They did a great job in a reasonable amount of time. I'm satisfied with their work. I feel secure knowing my Genrac generator will work if there is another power outage in my area again. UPDATE 3/6/25 Canter has continued to offer exceptional service for my generator. Technician Jordan Evans did an excellent job servicing my unit today.

Technician score is 5. Jim was professional, explained what he needed to do before completing repair. Canter service score is 2. The generator has been broken since December 23, 2024. Trying to reach someone was ridiculous. Calls were routed to voice mail. It took way too MANY calls and aggravation trying to speak with a live person. Having to call repeatedly begging to get generator repaired was NOT professional !! I paid for a maintenance agreement because I was told parts were all covered and I would also get priority service. I've never had to write a negative review with any other company.

This used to be a great company to deal with. They may have bitten off more than they can handle. This year I paid my yearly contract maintenance of $329 dollars. I January I got a text saying they would be there in 48 hours. No call, no show. I called the office, they told me they would call me with a new date. No call. Again I called to setup the maintenance. NOTHING. I called again last week to request a refund. As of today still no refund. Called yesterday and spent an hour on hold going from 1st in cue, than 2nd, than first, than 2nd. I'm so sick of lousy customer service. Beware before you sign a maintenance contract with them.

The technician was highly skilled, efficient and detail oriented. He went so far as to grease the threads of all access panel anchor screws, key/lock mechanism and hinges- that’s the way it should be done! He also cleaned away debris that accumulated in the vents and interior spaces! His tools and supplies were very clean and professionally organized. The technician showed me the spent oil and discussed ways to increase equipment life and operation efficiency too. I’m extremely impressed and pleased.

Terrible company Very hard to deal with. Have had 2 issues with my generator and the first time they tried to put me off by telling me to contact the gas company have my fuel line checked. I did, and you guessed it, nothing wrong with it. They finally came out and fixed problem after multiple calls for service. Now, I am having a different issue that started on 22-Feb. Here it is 04-Mar and they still have not come out and I have not even heard from a technician. I've called three times only to be told they have a high priority ticket in place but they are behind because of the ice and snow. I'm sorry, but that was a while ago. Not buying that excuse. Also, I was told yesterday the ticket would be expedited, and I still haven't heard anything. I would not recommend this company. Don't trust them. They just want to collect a yearly maintenance contract from you and not doing anything when there is a problem. At least this is how I see it. Both times I have had problems it has been a complete headache to get it resolved.
