Casket Fairprice did an excellent service when we engaged it to perform the last rites for my late Mother. Kok Wee, the Funeral Director was very understanding and compassionate towards our recent bereavement. He explained clearly the price differences between a standard and an essential Buddhist package. Every detail was taken care of, from the setting up of the tentage, the beautifully draped chairs and tables and the fresh flowers on each table, to the Buddhist altar. The whole process from the embalming of my Mom to the encoffining and the rites were seamlessly conducted with dignity and decorum. A plus point is Wee's ability to communicate effectively in both English and Mandarin, making it easier for us to understand the different rites we had to go through. Casket Fairprice provided a clean, thoughtfully furnished funeral set up that brought peace and comfort to the bereaved family. We are grateful to be well guided by the team of advisors who spared no effort to ensure the smooth flow of procedures during the 4- day wake. The provision of assistants was another plus point on the final evening of the wake. At each point in time, the team was always prompt in checking in with us what needed to be done. Of special mention is the service provided by the Emcee, Jun Shen. He provided the much needed comfort of helping us to go through the final day of the funeral. He spoke very well and his gentle, soothing tone of voice, compassion and care were certainly noteworthy. Throughout the whole funeral, the team of advisors showed full respect to my late Mother. The Emcee must be credited with his thoughtful choice of words that provided our family members with the much needed consolation. Jun Shen is effectively bilingual and he made it a point to remember the names of the mourners which warmed the hearts of the family, relatives and friends. He made it a point to instruct our family friends what they had to do to show respect to our late mother. It would be great if he could remember to speak in English to the non Chinese friends too. The driver of the hearse car is another kind and caring team member who drove the hearse car smoothly along the whole journey, reminding me to call out to my Mom to cross each bridge along the entire journey from Hougang to Mandai Crematorium. On the same afternoon, my Mom's ashes were delivered by Wee to the temple for interment punctually. I must credit the entire team for their excellent service to help us send off my late Mom in a dignified and respectful manner. They are reliable and punctual in every stage of the journey. My family is very thankful to have chosen Casket Fairprice in handling my late Mom's funeral. Casket Fairprice is certainly a trustworthy and responsible company worthy of recommendation. Once again, thank you so much, Wee, Jun Shen, Delson, Buddhist monks and other associates whose names I did not manage to ask for. We wish to accord our heartfelt thanks to the entire team at Casket Fairprice once again.
