Hi Sun, We are surprised by your review as you did not join us on any of our tours. We are available by email, telephone, and WhatsApp daily from 08:00 to 23:00. We also have a website that explains all of our tour activities and prices. I was told by the sanctuary manager that you arrived without a booking and wanted to feed the elephants and then take them to the river. We attempt to limit the elephant interactions due to our deep respect for their well-being. As an ethical elephant sanctuary in Chiang Mai, we offer the river experience once a day. However, we would like to clarify that it seems there may have been some confusion. Our tours and activities, including feeding and bathing the elephants, are typically available to our booked guests as part of a comprehensive and ethical experience. Regarding the price, our rates reflect the care and attention our elephants receive and help us maintain an ethical environment. We apologize if there was any miscommunication or if you felt our team was not welcoming—this is not the experience we aim to provide. We do not solicit guests for donations; our only source of funding is the tours our guests book. We regret that your visit did not meet your expectations. We hope you understand the importance of safety and the care we take in protecting our elephants and visitors. If you decide to visit us in the future, we would happily offer you the full experience we are known for.
