Climbing Kilimanjaro with Climb Kili was an incredible experience and I would highly recommend climbing with them to anyone looking to embark on this adventure. We were a two person group and did the 7 day Machame route but ended up completing it in 6 days (which was our decision coupled with our guides assessment), with both of us making it to the summit. Our guides, Manny (Emmanuel) and Steve (Stefano) were inspiring, knowledgeable, kind, and instrumental in our trip to the summit. Our team of porters and our cook (Stratton) were also incredible. Stratton cooked better meals on the side of the mountain than I can at home! The tents and sleeping bags were comfortable and warm, the private bathroom tent was a luxury at the campsites, and we were well fed and hydrated throughout our journey - I especially appreciated the warm tea and popcorn snacks everyday! This was one of the best experiences of my life and the preparation, organization, energy and support from the Climb Kili team made it possible!

Singing the Praises of Climb Kili ! Review of 8-Day Small-group Lemosho Kilimanjaro Summit Trekking Reviewed 1 week ago Friends of mine that I met doing the Everest Base Camp/Gokyo Lakes Trek in Nepal in November of 2022 offered me the chance to joint them to attempt to summit Mount Kilimanjaro in September of 2024. I distinctly recall saying after Nepal - never again, but immediately said "Hell, yes" to their invitation and contacted Tiffany at Climb Kili, the tour operator my friends had chosen, to get on-board. I found Tiffany to be readily available to answer questions (not sure when she sleeps given some of the time stamps on her responses to my many questions sent to her by email !), and whether I called in, or emailed. I had most of the equipment from what I took to Nepal, so easy-peasey from that point of view and just needed a few things such as a mattress pad (they give you a foam pad, but my old, arthritic bones needed something more !), pee-bottle (who wants to go outside multiple times each night to visit the toilet tent (and yes, you really, really want to go with a company that offers the toilet tent - the outhouses smell from yards away !), and small rechargeable tent light (so you can find that pee bottle in the middle of the night !). Followed essentially the same training regimen as for Nepal, and felt that would be sufficient to see me through. The Mrs. declined to go, but did suggest I go on safari while in Tanzania, so I contacted Tiffany and she set that up for me as well - a 3 day safari where they fly you out to the start and you drive back through the Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Tarangire. Not sure how the Toyota Land Cruisers they use for the safaris survive the pounding they take, but kudos to Toyota and whoever the mechanics are that keep the vehicles roadworthy - no shortage of washboard and pot-holes ! Gideon was the Tour Guide and he was amazing ! Answered all of my many questions, was very willing to talk about the safari, the business side of things, life in Tanzania, and his own life. He got us from park to park safely, and was excellent at divining where the animals were, and putting us in great position to see them. Post-safari, we had a day to prepare our kit, meet with Rick of Climb Kili, and our Head Guide, Raymond, to discuss the trek, take a last shower, and enjoy the comforts of a bed. Bright and early Saturday morning, with great excitement, we set out on our 8-day Lemosho route trek to the summit of Kilimanjaro ! I cannot say enough about our Head Guide, Raymond, our two Assistant Guides, Jackson, and Norbert, Simon (our wonderful cook), and the rest of the Climb Kili crew (22 in number) that supported the six of us as we made our way along the Lemosho route, enjoying not just a full moon, but a "Super Moon" ! Five of the six of us successfully summited Kili (the oldest member of the group, at 74, decided that he had supported his spouse throughout, but the "juice wasn't worth the squeeze" in terms of what it would take from him to summit, so he waited at Kosovo while we went up and back. There were times while slowly making our way up the mountain, starting at midnight, that I wondered if he was the wise one amongst us, but the sense of accomplishment when I made it to the top after 6 hours made it all worthwhile (lets not talk about that over 9,000 feet in quad/knee crushing descent still to be accomplished before we got to Mweka Camp about 6 pm that same day, having been up and mostly on our feet for 18 hours !). Our food was wonderful, our camp sites as good as there was available, the toilet tent was a godsend, and the constant support and encouragement from the Climb Kili crew all combined to make this a very tough, but very rewarding lifetime experience ! Thank you Climb Kili ! Date of experience: September 2024

Second trip to Kilimanjaro Never say never...when I returned from hiking Kilimanjaro in Tanzania over a year ago, I never thought I would return. However, memories of the journey stuck with me and I decided to go back July 4. While the seven day trek was no less challenging, the adventure was even more wonderful. Spending time on the Roof Of Africa (19,341 ft.) in one of the most beautiful national parks on earth never gets old. Everyone was great…from Tiffany, to our guides James (for the second time) and Daniel, to the mountain crew, to the drivers and hotel staff . Looking forward to trip number three with Climb Kili someday. Time to find a new mountain to climb!

If you're going to the top, pick the top I just got back from climbing Kilimanjaro, courtesy of Climb Kili. I'd have to say that the experience was wonderful. All six of us summited without incident. I'd like to say that we were amazingly fit and prepared, but the truth is that the climb Kili crew (Herment et al) had everything so organized and straightforward that we didn't actually climb Kili, we were pulled up by 22 amazingly dedicated and strong men. I have some comparison. I've been to Everest Base Camp with a good outfit, Patagonia, The Brooks Range, Iceland, etc. Climb Kili is at the peak when you want to summit that peak. I highly recommend them. In fact, it was pretty obvious that climbers from other outfits were jealous of our crew (and yes, they sang to us with harmony and gusto). Some tidbits: 1) Hot coffee or tea in your tent in the AM if you wish it 2) Tents are three person tents with only one or two occupents 3) Toilet facilities are private, with a great chemical toilet. Plenty of good TP. I saw other hikers slinking into the rocks with wads of toilet paper in their hands. Not us 3) Lots and lots of good food! Superb fare 4) Lots of boiled, sterile water. No gastroenteritis or other illness 5) Arusha and Kili are above the mosquito areas. No fear of Malaria 6) I found little use for trail bars and snacks. Leave them behind and lighten your pack Pick Climb Kili. Barring extremely rare High altitude pulmonary or cerebral edema, the only way you won't summit is because you chose not to

My recent climb to Mt. Kilimanjaro with Climb Kili was superb. Hement Moshi, our lead guide, along with Lebo and Gabriele, the assistant guides, did an amazing job setting the pace so that we were well acclimated by summit night. They were very attentive to how we were handling the altitude, ensuring that all six of us in our group remained in good health. Because of this care, the great food provided for all meals and the help from all the support staff, all six of us successfully summited the rooftop of Africa in good spirits and good health. Our small group size of 6 was very conducive to an overall positive experience. Additionally, Climb Kili is permitted to use Kosovo as the base camp for summit night which reduces additional altitude gain and mileage compared to starting from Barafu (it makes a difference!). Tiffany from Climb Kili was always very responsive during the booking process and patiently answered all questions on short time. Thank you Climb Kili, Hement, Gabriele, Lebo and crew for making our trek to Mt. Kilimanjaro a very safe and memorable experience.

We're thrilled to hear that Hement, Lebo, and Gabriele provided such excellent guidance and care throughout your journey. It's wonderful that all six members of your group successfully reached the summit in good health and spirits. We're also pleased that you found our use of Kosovo base camp beneficial. Thank you for recognizing Tiffany's efforts during the booking process as well. We're so glad we could provide you with a safe, memorable, and positive experience on your trek to the rooftop of Africa. Keep climbing!

Once in lifetime experience! My recent climb to Mt. Kilimanjaro with Climb Kili was superb. Hement Moshi, our lead guide, along with Lebo and Gabriele, the assistant guides, did an amazing job setting the pace (pole, pole (slow, slow) was a prevalent saying throughout the hike) so that we were well acclimated by summit night. They were very attentive to how we were handling the altitude, ensuring that all six of us in our group remained in good health. Because of this care, delicious 3 meals/day + snacks, and the help from all the support staff, all six of us successfully summited the rooftop of Africa in good spirits and good health while enjoying the entire 8 day trek.I was a solo climber which concerned me initially during my planning. However, Tiffany from Climb Kili was very responsive, answering all my questions on time and assuring me that there was nothing to worry about! Our small group size of 6 was also conducive to a better overall experience. Climb Kili is permitted to camp in Kosovo camp on summit night which reduced additional hiking on summit night. This is definitely an added bonus. Additionally, if you are thinking about renting gear, I rented my sleeping bag from Climb Kili and glad i did. The sleeping bag kept me warm and comfy throughout the entire trek. I highly recommend Climb Kili but also our specific guides.

Life changing, Stunning, Humbling! This was the most life changing experience! My fiance and I spend 7 days with our team, led by Good Luck and Junior. We felt like family each day learning, exploring and bonding. The mental toughness and positivity each of our guides brought is something I’ve never seen before. We absolutely LOVED our experience and wouldn’t change it for the world. Stomach engineer, Internet Cafe engineer, Nestor, Boniventure, Israel, and the entire team! We love you and will be recommending Climb Kili and this specific crew for the rest of our lives!

7 day/6 night climb of Kilimanjaro via Machame route I have recently come back from Tanzania, having just completed a 7day trek up Mt. Kilimanjaro with company …CLIMB KILI…our mountain guides were Herment Mosha, and Florian, along with a fantastic crew of cooks, waiters and porters, who all help make it one of the best experiences of my life. I can not speak highly enough, of the professionalism that all of Climb Kili staff showed towards myself and other members of our party, our guides knew what to do, and when to do it…..A big thank you goes out to Herment Mosha, who successfully managed to get us all to the top of Kilimanjaro, even when times were tough….Therefore I would highly recommend Climb Kili , if you are thinking of embarking on a truly inspiring adventure…..

I did the 8 day Lemosho trek followed by 2 days of Safari experience. I was joined by my sister and 4 other amazing people whom I didn’t know until the morning of the hike. The group was well matched and the harmony with which the diverse group of us 6 came together with one goal made the trip that much more memorable. But the credit goes to the climb kili guide and group and the whole organization. Our three principal guides were absolutely amazing. The lead guide Herment was an experienced professional and kind person who was determined to make this trek successful and pleasant for us all. He handled the trek and the rest of the crew with absolute skilled hands and it was obvious he was respected by all and knew how to be the perfect guide for us and the perfect manager for the crew, a great cheerleader who would know how to encourage us when needed, inform us, and make sure of the safety and comfort of everyone. I consider myself so fortunate to have been with him and his crew. The weather was amazing. The hike very doable under the guidance of climb kili crew because the slow progress set us up for success from the very beginning. I am usually an impatient hiker and I know that if I had been allowed to do as I usually do I would have wore myself out and would not have made it. The hike is a steady trek up and it is not for the impatient or the person with little stamina. But absolutely doable. The summit day is the hardest day but I would say the most amazing transformative day. The feeling of accomplishment but more importantly the feeling of self reliance and appreciation of strength of oneself is unparalleled. Of course being off my phone for 8 days was a blessing that doesn’t come by in this day and age. I had it on airplane mode the entire time and the noise in my brain finally stopped and I found myself. As for the guides, they were kind, caring, invested in our success, vigilant, and overall worked so well together that it all looked seamless and effortless. The rest of the crew: amazing. The chef was magnificent with mad skills. The food was great and plenty and contrary to what they kept on saying that one might lose one’s appetite in high altitude, we had no problem gobbling up everything he cooked because it was delicious and plenty. He even had a surprise for me on my birthday! I was floored. The porters and the rest of the staff from the servers, the people who managed the tents and equipment all the way to the cleaners were such amazing professional kind and lovely people I felt like I was being taken care of a family I could have only dreamed of. I am a very self reliant and independent woman, and it was so refreshing to be taken care of so well by a group who seemed to do it out of the goodness of their hearts even though sure this was their job. I would have given three times the amount of tip that was recommended if I was allowed. I cannot emphasize how transformative this hike was for me as a busy 53 year old physician who is very much always in the throws of city life and family obligations. This was the greatest gift I could have given myself on top of the bonus of sharing it with my just as busy sister (so in regular life we have so little time for each other) and having gained a few additional exploring friends who were unknown to me prior to this trip. I am so please and so thankful for the wonderful experience I was given by the climb kili group and I was honestly missing my Tanzanian family the moment I set foot back in LAX! Thank you Herment et al.

Climb Kili created such a special experience for my friends and I. From bottom to top and back again, I felt comfortable and safe around all the Climb Kili crew members. The guides prevented me from falling during the steep and strenuous inclines and declines. The chef accommodated our group’s dietary needs and preferences and we were never hungry or thirsty. The toilet was practically glamping. Despite the challenge, we had an amazing time and it would be extremely difficult to find a better crew than Climb Kili. They have ruined all other tour companies for me.

Best operator to take you to the top of Kilimanjaro Fantastic once-in-a-lifetime adventure excellently made possible by the ClimbKili team. Smooth operations, experienced guides, excellent food and really good equipment. All the prieces to make your adventure the best it can be. All the reasons why we selected ClimbKili among the great number of operators worked out really well and the four main ones for us:1. Kosovo camp - ClimbKili is one of few allowed to camp at the higher of the 2 base camps. This means that you have 1h shorter on summit night (the hike which really matters) and you hike a rocky section in daylight instead of at night. Also the eve before summiting we were alone there which was a very different experience compared to some of the other camps which can be crowded.2. Small groups - limiting the size of the group to max 6 (unless you want to be a bigger group) gave us the chance to get to know the others better and is improving the experience as it doesn't feel so crowded.3. Flexible dates - as ClimbKili is quite a large company they have the chance to accomodate groups on any dates, allowing you to find the best flight tickets and then adapting the climb to them instead of the other way around.4. Toilet tent - the toilet tent (which is something you want) is included in the price already, whereas many companies have this as an extra feature for about $100.The only thing i would comment is that the guides are "operationally minded". Their purpose is to get you to the top and back safely, whereas they could also have been guiding a bit more and tell you more about the mountain etc to add flavour. The flavour there is, is the singing & dancing (and they genuinly seem to enjoy it eventhough you see all companies do it and you know they do this for all week after week), and the great food but for 7 days you like some more. All in all it was fantastic and we all made it to the top! Thanks greatly to the team of ClimbKili!

Unforgettable Experience With Climb Kili I highly recommend Climb Kili for your Kilimanjaro trek. My friend and I signed up to join a small group 7-day Machame route. We ended up three hikers in total as two others who planned to join unfortunately couldn’t make it. The pre-planning information provided was well thought out and easy to follow. Tiffany was highly responsive in answering the many questions in helping us prepare for the trip. Our lead guide Herment and his assistant Florian were instrumental in enabling and encoraging us to achieve our goal to successfully complete the hike and make the final summit. They were highly professional, caring and helped us to learn more about the surrounding environment and Tanzanian culture. Our cook and his assistants provided amazing, tasty meals and snacks throughout the entire trip. The porters were phenomenal in supporting us with the equipment and daily set up. I wish I had everyone's name to shout out. The entire team worked so hard and helped us in so many ways. They found great spots for us in each camp including special permits they have at Kosovo Camp which gets you closer to the summit for the final climb.Climb Kili made this adventure a truly unforgettable and amazing experience for me.

BEST TEAM!!! BEST EXPERIENCE!!! 🙏 My experience with this company has been first rate from start to finish…Tiffany answered any and every question promptly and provided all the necessary information. The pick up and drop off to the airport went without a hitch. The crew in Arusha also was friendly and competent…..as for the crew up the mountain (from porters to guides) they could not have been better….our guides Raymond and Jackson certainly made our success possible as did Simon Ellie Barrack Innocense etc….. a wonderful team…… thank you to all.❤️

Amazing Trek!!! Climb Kili!!! My wife and I had an amazing time during our 8 day Lemosho trek!!! This was all due to the expert guides we had (Hermit, Gabriel, and Lambartes). Our guides ensured our six person team (5 women & 1 man) was well informed and taken care of during the entire trek. Our chief keep us well feed with great tasting food... Even during some of the toughest portions of the trek our guides were right there ensuring everyone stayed positive and all made it to the top!!! I cannot over look the women that were part of the team, these women were some of the toughest ladies out there!!! Much respect to you all!!!!

Lemosho 8- Day Trek - Excellent Company Our group of 5 all summited Sept 19, 2024 - Lemosho 8-day route. ClimbKili is a first class company. They provided excellent information about the trek at the time of deposit which allowed us to be fully prepared. Our guides were the best. Would highly recommend this company
