Dr Allyson Estess is my new favorite MD…
and I’ve seen a lot sadly.
Open, informative pre op that made me feel both informed and safe.
Incredible knee - ACL and meniscus tears - surgery, thorough, she went way beyond to check everything in my knee and found a tear she wouldn’t have seen if she hadn’t made the extra effort.
my scarring is tiny and very impressive - still healing but I don’t think it’ll be visible to the naked eye.
and she’s got a sense of humour - all too rare in surgeons.
Surgery is easier to face with someone as talented as Dr Estess.

Had such a great experience with Dr Millstein and his group at the Commons Clinic. Everyone was so warm, and also efficient. No waiting, no wasted time. And everyone is just very nice. Dr Millstein is SO knowledgeable. He took time at our appointment to explain everything including next steps and a potential treatment plan. Would highly recommend.

Amazing experience on my shoulder surgery. From the staff to the doctors.

I saw Dr. Estess in January 2025 for an elbow injury and it was completely misdiagnosed by her. Instead of recommending me to have a MRI exam, she prescribed physical therapy which has made my injury and pain worse. I don't live in California and was travelling, so I needed reliable medical advice on how to recover. The PT has made it worse and I'm experiencing significant pain every day now. I requested them to order a MRI for me 2.5 months later after many PT sessions with no improvement and they couldn't be bothered to call me about the results after the MRI report was faxed to them. They still won't call me for how to treat my injury because I can't come into their office and probably because they can't bill my insurance for a phone call.

The MRI report indicated a complex injury (including synovitis, joint effusion, tennis elbow) that stemmed from a grade 2 UCL sprain. I needed to drain the excess fluid in my elbow, take anti-inflammatories, and rest. Been dealing with this injury for 3 months now that doesn't require surgery. I would've been better off seeing a doctor that is flexible with video/phone call appointments and I regret coming into this office.

Dr. Milstein is the consummate caring empathetic, knowledgeable professional. I have been seeing him for my various orthopedic issues (knees, elbows, shoulders) over the last 5+ years or so, and he has without fail evaluated diagnosed and prescribed the correct treatment. Without hesitation I would recommend Dr. Milstein for any orthopedic related need.

8/27/24-I saw Dr. Milstein, accommodated me on very short notice. Once again Eric (he’s treated for so long I feel I can use his first name!) evaluated my issues, after fully informing me advised cortisone shot, I agrred. He injected smoothly, painlessly. He has had a great track record with of hitting the ‘right spot’ and I am confident he’s done it again. He’s that good!

Great Doctor. Listens and pays attention. Even though he is a surgeon he does not jump to surgery right away. Also office is great, very helpful

Initial visit...found Dr. Millstein to be extremely professional, as well as, very engaging, (which put me at ease); his questions were very pointed & organized - with follow-up questions that delved, more thoroughly, into my concerns. The testing of my physical strength and agility was methodical, ending with a referral for MRI and follow up visit. I was given a few possible options, to consider, depending upon what MRI disclosed. The staff was great too!

Update: 3/16/25 Every visit, same constancy of professionalism and care (Dr. Millstein & staff)...

Expressly Beth (front) and Shavon (admin), BOTH...extremely professional, polite, pleasant, friendly and welcoming... immediately upon entering, beginning with their smile...they remove all my apprehensions regarding the office visit. I'm so very grateful...despite the extra travel dlistance (for me), because of their recent move and more expensive parking rates...well woth it...just to enjoy their company!! And I have wonderful supportive and Godly friend's...so...it's not desperation LOL...
I genuinely appreciate and love these folks!!

Dr. Estess is the best! She takes the time to explain everything to me, she is kind and compassionate, and genuinely likes helping people. She respects her patients, and her office is extremely well-run.

Dr Millstein is excellent. Very honest and personable. Office waiting room is comfortable and parking is easy if a bit expensive.
