Sunshine XL chicken coop Looking to increase our rescue flock hence a bigger coop and our old coop had also sadly come to the end of it's service. Found this coop. Had a question about it and so contacted sales line - quick in answering. Guy answered question but I felt he could have been a little more friendly in his tone and it felt like he 'was busy ' so I didn't ask anything else. Wasn't next day delivery as advertised (though we ordered before 2pm as advised) but it was a Friday so ? reason. However, coop came on the Monday. Email sent from delivery company to inform us of arrival and you could track coop which was handy so you didn't have to stay in all day. Coop was easy to put together with clear instructions. A nice coop but difficult to open 'latches' to get into nest boxes to collect eggs. It will certainly stop any foxes etc from using their paws! 🤣 The latches don't 'quite line up' to allow opening of the lids so there's a bit of patience required. There was a damaged roof (nothing to do with delivery company as no damage to packaging) so not sure how and if parts are checked before being packaged for delivery? You have to email company re any queries/ concerns which is fine as long as you have Internet! It is clearly stated on their website how to contact etc. Very pleased with response and action. Thank you. Email and photo of damaged part sent am. and reply received pm. with an apology and that replacement will be sent. Received on the Wednesday. Again, email from delivery company sent informing us of delivery and tracking. Hens unsure at first of new coop but ok now! However, they're sleeping in the nest boxes rather than perching on the bars! 🤣

Poor Quality Disappointing I have been using this coop for a month now and felt to write a review due to being so disappointed. I was immediately disappointed as I opened the package as I could see already that this was not of good quality. There was a broken roof in the box, a latch with tiny screws loose in the box, and other splits in pieces of wood. We had the roof replaced but that one is now breaking. We bought the treated and plastic roof version supposedly for weather protection, but it’s a very flimsy build. There is no way this will last 10 years as I read somewhere when researching it. The nest box roofs are unsafe as they can easily be pushed open by predators and the latches literally do nothing. I don’t know what they are for.. said nothing in the instructions. I assumed they would lock the roofs. I guess you could put a tiny padlock on but that’s even more work. As I said it’s very flimsy with gaps everywhere. It’s very difficult to clean even with that tray, because the tray doesn’t pull out easily its very stiff especially when dirty. And the little pieces of wood to hold it in place get in the way when trying to put the clean tray back in. Its very frustrating to do anything with the coop. The perches fall off all the time when chickens are moving around in there. Also the perches are not higher than the nest boxes so the chickens have been sleeping in nest boxes making even more work to clean. And I’m also having to block off nest boxes at night. Looking at the design I don’t see why that couldn’t have been done… put the nest boxes on lower. After using a smaller coop previously I wanted a coop with perches for the chickens to roost on so I’m now questioning why I am using it with all the extra work and the fact that the original purpose is not being met. I spent that money this to make life easier for us and more comfy for the chickens. A total waste of money. I did inform the company how disappointing the coop was when I needed to replace the roof. They had no response to any of my concerns about the quality just to send a new roof. So i have given it a chance but my opinion has far from improved. And what a joke the insurance for £60 a year.! I tell you you need some insurance on this coop as it’s going to break, and soon. But to pay 60 a year. That is disgusting.

Coop unfit I recieved this coop in December, i could not build till march, so it was kept sealed in the box, after assembly of what i would say a coop not fit for purpose, flimsey, within a short period my chickens started being reluctant to go inside and i noticed vibrations when they were inside, anyway they decided thier old coop was better on examination on the very top of the coop was infested with mites, but nothing else on my property has this problem including my original coop, i am telling you this coop was infested when it came too me, my chickens wont go in and have only used it for about 2 weeks, these flimsy coops are not fit for purpose and mine is infected, when i phoned, the man was rude wouldnt taje my name or order number, shocking customer service and product, i want a refund

Deceptive Compaby Photo's on the website are misleading to the actual size of the product, they do not price match as per their website, their promotion is false and they do not respond to emails. Also either I did not get the upgraded wire or there is no difference.

Excellent customer service Fantastic customer service, very impressed and would highly recommend. I will definitely be using again. The issue I had was with the delivery company which was swiftly sorted out by customer services at coops and hutches.

Item not received, money taken AVOID I have recently moved and we purchased a coop. I entered my new address and then received an email stating I could buy a treatment upgrade. This upgrade didn't require me to enter my address. I then received an email stating the upgrade would be delivered to my old address. I phoned immediately and was reassured it would be sent to the correct address. The following day I received a phone call from an old neighbour stating that had witnessed a courier leave two large boxes in the street. I asked that he deliver to my new address and was quoted a price. I immediately spoke with Sam who was incredibly rude and didn't believe me. He said I would need to write him an email so he could investigate. I explained the coop had been delivered to a high crime area in error and will gone imminently. He said he didn't believe me and couldn't help me. He didn't accept that as a company they are responsible for the delivery of items. Sam said 'if I was difficult he would hang up and I get nothing'. He then proceeded to end the call. I am out of pocket to the tune of hundreds of pounds and need to complete a chargeback now. It may be that this ends up in a small claims court. I would advise you pay the extra and go to a reputable company. I now have lots of stress and possibly months of legal action all because I chose this company.

Dear Lee, Thank you for your feedback. I’m sorry to hear that you’re dissatisfied with your experience. However, I’d like to clarify that the delivery address provided at the time of purchase was the one associated with your Apple Pay account. When you contacted us to resolve the issue, I requested that you send an email with the correct details so that we could assist you further. Unfortunately, you declined to do so, mentioning that you charge for your time. I sincerely offered to help rectify the situation, but I must stress that our ability to assist is contingent on receiving the required details from our customers. Reasonable cost and practical style - pleased with my purchase On the whole I think the coop is a good starter coop, it is value for money, I purchased it to keep a hen separate, whilst introducing a new small flock, and will use it in future if a hen needs separating when poorly. I needed a small coop quickly and this came overnight which was good as needed it in quite a hurry. I was able to put the coop together on my own using the instructions in an afternoon (with breaks!) though needed a second pair of hands to help to put on the hinged side of the roof. Before putting it together I found it useful to bag up the screws in plastic money bags and put bigger labels in the bag, which indicated the screw code and the step number in each - pic attached. I'm not a youngster, I'm a pensioner, so this approach helped me to be organised. A bit more detailed instruction would have been helpful in putting the nest box together, though I figured it out eventually, after a cuppa. So I'd say the coop style is practical, the openings being in the right places for access. My only criticism is that of the ramp and why I have given 4 stars and not 5. My hen found it very slippery to walk down, she'd grip onto a rung then slide down to the next as there's such a large gap between each rung, not enough rungs for the hen to grip onto, after all they only take small steps - you might say 'well, she could fly down', though in my experience they generally walk down. My suggestion to the makers is that it would be better if a) more rungs were added to the ramp, or even better b) wood used similar to that of decking is used that would give them a grip all the way down. I've raised the end of the ramp onto a couple of layers of bricks so it is not at such a steep angle, and it's a bit of a hop down for her, though before bad weather sets in I think I may have to add more rungs with small pieces of wood, or find another solution. If the makers of the coop/ramp come up with an improved, tested out with chickens solution, perhaps they'd let me know to give me an option of an improved ramp? All in all for me, a reasonable cost, quick delivery, pretty good instructions, and a practical coop layout, ticks lots of boxes.

Chicken coops not fit for purpose. These chickens coops are not fit for purpose. First coop I ordered, was not suitable for 4 hens. It was extremely small. I was given an upgrade to a larger coop after complaining. We had it for 3 months. The door opening handle to the coop is broken. The ramp up to the coop the hinges broke. The hinge for the roof never worked. The removable tray at bottom of coop is breaking and does not fully close. It is made of very soft flimsy wood and even though it is treated it would not be suitable for our British winters. I had a rain cover over the coop so at least it kept it dry. Coopsandhutches.co.uk your failed chickens coop, is on it way to the tip. As that's were it belongs. Do not waste your money buying one of these flimsy, not fit for purpose chicken coops. Complete waste of money and not suitable for chickens.

It was lighter than I expected, had I realised I wouldn't have bothered with the wheels. Went together easily enough, it now remains to be seen if it copes with a wet and windy Cornish winter!

XL Rabbit hutch Beyond gutted at my purchase. XL this is certainly not, it does not comply with PDSA living standards (please check the measurements before buying, I really underestimated how narrow it was) It is marketed as suitable for 2 medium rabbits. I wouldn’t even be comfortable with it housing one small rabbit. Didn’t even put my medium rabbit into it as it would have been cruel. Emailed them asking about returns and to complain about the size to which I got a response that said, we will charge you £50 per item to cover our costs of you return, others have had more success on market place. Which I thought wasn’t overly helpful and tells you that others have had the same issues. Do not buy this product if you have rabbits or larger animals!
