My wife and I have come here a few times when we come to Atlantic Beach, and the food has always been good. I tried the oxtail stew, which had just been added to the menu. Our server said I was the first to order. It was delicious. Keep it on the menu 😋

The quality of food is not worth the price. We got the boil and it was mediocre at best. They didn’t devein the shrimp. The coconut shrimp was pretty good. Crème brûlée was also pudding like. We have had better boils in South Dakota.

Was our first time.. Dined in. Sat upstairs, but inside because it was a bit chilly. View was still amazing. Food was so delicious. Staff was very friendly. Everyone was very friendly. We talked with other patrons who recommended certain dishes and their experience with coming here for years.

My family and I were very disappointed when we came in the other night and was told Karen no longer worked there. Our first visit to the crabs claw was her second day waitressing for the restaurant and ended up being the only server working both the upstairs and downstairs dining as apparently you were very short staffed. She was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed for our meals before we even needed it. You could definitely tell she had serving experience and a great personality and sense of urgency to go along with it. I, of course inquired with a server whom I shall not mention but was told that she was let go of because someone told some lies on her and then she harassed and belittled when the lies told on her were just that. Lies. We ended up with Kelly as our server, who also made it a point to tell us she was also the manager when we came in and was disappointed by the lack of service we got. She kept sniffing her nose and wiping at it at the table which was unappealing and made me second guess eating from the plates that she touched. She was very unprofessional and stayed behind the bar most of the time flirting with one guy and giving him drinks she had overmade for other tables. That's no manager I would want to claim. When my family and I come in we usually bring 5 to 8 people and spend hundreds at a time in your restaurant and we always requested Karen as our server. We also have had Rylie and he was also exceptional, but Karen always made our dining experience fantastic. I can't say that we will be back with how disappointing our last visit was and I wish I had a way to get ahold of Karen to offer her a job with my family business. You don't get hard workers like her everyday. You let go of a good one when you probably needed her from what i can tell more than you realize, As your serving staff doesn't seem up to par with what you would expect from an oceanfront dining experience spending hundreds on food. They all seem to be new hires and scatter brained and without knowledge of the menu that they sell to us customers.

Our visit to Crab’s Claw last night was nothing short of exceptional. the Caribbean grouper with plantains, for one was outstanding—perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. The sunset surrounding the restaurant elevated our experience, making it feel truly special. What impressed us most was the dedication of our server—she was not only handling table service with ease but also bartending with impressive skill. Despite the bustling Saturday night crowd, her attentiveness and professionalism never wavered. This level of service, combined with exquisite cuisine, makes Crab’s Claw a must-visit destination. We look forward to our next visit!

Literally one of the best burgers I have ever eaten in my entire life. 5 stars for their crab dip and surf n turf bison burger. Fantastic, you all deserve it!

I am local to the area (Raleigh transplant) and have been coming to Crab's Claw for 10 years. It used to be a favorite, but the last several years (since they reopened after Florence), it has been mediocre. My last visit in early October will be my last for good. Outdoor dining is ocean front and it's difficult to mess that up! The food is expensive for what you get and is fairly good. However, the service ruins the experience. The last several visits, the waitstaff has been rude and did not even try to make things right. Twice recently, I was overcharged for an item and the waitstaff refused to change it. The atmosphere on the Morehead waterfront is just as nice and you will find excellent service at Jacks and Yellowfin to name a couple. You will also find better food and very reasonable prices.

Kellie is a great bartender and even better manager. The kitchen manager is a different story and will not let you sit outside unless you order food.

I was here Tuesday night . Our server Nicole was the best server I have ever had dining here ! I want her to wait on me every time. She is friendly , personable and genuinely loves her job! You are lucky to have such a dedicated employee and she’s the best server we’ve seen yet I. This area!! Hands Down !

Shrimp send unfresh and mushy, swear we have had fresher shrimp in East Tennessee. Conch fritters were mostly basing and not great but surprised to see that as a menu choice so far north. Drinks were good, other apps were good and other food was good. Not sure what the deal with the shrimp was old they ordered too much food for the slow season and it was just old or they cooked it to death.
