Tom (the owner) and his team (especially, Mike) did a masterly job of interlacing about 1500 square feet of new 3" Brazilian Cherry solid hardwood into our existing, 22-year old Brazilian Cherry Floor. The result was a flowing, seamless floor - perfect.
The kind of work from a genuine craftsman.
And Tom is a craftsman in the truest sense of the word, taking great pride in all aspects of the project, from the planning to the installation to the project management and even to the cleanup. He's a real pleasure to work with to boot.
We are so pleased with the results that we will be hiring Craftsman Hardwood Floors for a hardwood floor installation project on the second floor of our home.
I thought my damaged hardwood floors would require sanding and refinishing the entire downstairs—something I did not want to do again so soon—until Tom at Craftsman Hardwood Floors found a better solution.
The floors had been damaged by another company, and no one else was willing to take on the repair. Tom carefully assessed the damage, explained my options, and completed the work without sanding the entire downstairs. He was knowledgeable, honest, and clearly takes great pride in his craftsmanship.
The repair saved us a tremendous amount of time, money, dust, and disruption. The repaired areas blend beautifully with the surrounding floors, and the results exceeded my expectations! After everything we had been through, it was a relief to work with someone so skilled and trustworthy!
Tom and his team are talented, hardworking, reliable, and great communicators. We put solid white oak flooring throughout our home and are so glad we chose Tom for the project. The floors are stunning and the process was great. Tom and his team took great care with our home. I highly recommend Craftsman Hardwood Floors.

We hired Tom to install hardwood flooring in our entryway/main level of our 1960s craftsman home. Not only did Tom give us a great reclaimed wood supplier recommendation but he ultimately did a beautiful job installing that product. He seamlessly worked with all the “quirks” and “challenges” of our older home to ensure that we were 100% satisfied with the end result. Tom is incredibly kind and professional. He put both new flooring in our kitchen remodel and cleaned/touched up the stain/sealed our original hardwood floors in the rest of the main floor to give them more life and it all looks so beautiful! He was flexible to work with the schedule of other renovations in our home, always very timely and thorough in his work. We wish we had known about Craftsman when we had our upstairs flooring done. Highly recommend working with Tom!

We hired Tom and his team to add wood floors to our downstairs level. We were very impressed with Tom’s knowledge and how up-to-date he was with best practice in the flooring industry. It’s hard to find good contractors that communicate so well, but Tom excels in this area. He always responded promptly via text or phone call to any questions we had. Tom is very personable, kind, and easy to work with. We had a unique space with a few items we had to think outside the box on. Tom took the time to think through extra steps to help solve for the space. We are so pleased with how everything turned out and will certainly be recommending Tom/Craftsman Hardwood Floors and hope to use him again in the future.
We hired Tom to refinish our existing oak floors and install new oak in a family room and office. The entire experience was 10/10 from start to finish. Highly communicative and responsive, Tom doesn’t just show up and work - he makes sure you understand what to expect with each step in the process. His crew was professional and friendly as well. If you do any work beyond the floors, Tom has experienced and highly skilled partners that he can bring on board. Tom and his employee did an amazing job refinishing my hardwood floors. Tom listened to me and my husband being very respectful of our wishes and making sure he did things the way we wanted them to be. Was really easy to work with, answered all my questions, gave us good information regarding taking care of the floors going further and overall did an excellent job. Having them here wasn’t as disruptive as I had imagined. I expected there to be dust everywhere and there wasn’t and the smell to be bothersome and it wasn’t. We are so very happy with the work and absolutely love how our floors look. I highly recommend them and if I ever have another house that needs the floors done, I know exactly who I’ll call.

Tom took out the old hardwood floors in our 100 year old house, including some pain-in-the-butt to remove tile in the kitchen, and installed new engineered hardwood flooring throughout (including a herringbone pattern in the kitchen). Tom was absolutely a pleasure to work with, from scheduling the initial consult through finishing day. He was very responsive and professional. Tom and his employee, Scott, worked hard and did a fantastic job! I wouldn't hesitate to use Craftsman Hardwood Floors again for another project.

We hired Tom and his team to replace the hardwood floors on the main floor of our house. Tom is hands down the best tradesman I’ve worked with. He had great suggestions throughout our process and he was able to recommend an amazing stair guy to complete our project. We ended up removing skinny red oak floors with new wide panel white oak. We lived in the house during the project and Tom and team were very easy to navigate, cleaned up at the end of each day and took great care to work around our family. Tom of Craftsman Hardwood Floors is indeed a craftsman. His love for his trade and respect for his clients comes through in his careful work and artistic attention to detail. Tom refinished a 75 year old oak floor for me that had been water damaged in a storm, yes, but that had also suffered years of, shall we say, “benign neglect.” He turned my old floor into a work of beauty, and did so with minimum disruption. A true professional, Tom was punctual, left his workspace tidied at the end of each workday, kept me informed about each procedure, and helped me select my stain by applying a grid of choices on my newly sanded floor—which is now stunningly beautiful! I didn’t rush to put my furniture back because I wanted to just enjoy the gleaming expanse and watch my grandchildren dance and glide across the floor in sock-feet. I unreservedly recommend Tom and Craftsman Hardwood Floors.

We recently purchased a new home and wanted to start our updates by refinishing the hardwood floors. After shopping around and getting quotes from at least 10 companies, we found Craftsman Hardwood Floors—and we’re so glad we did! From the moment Tom came to do the estimate, we knew he was the right choice.
The transformation he delivered was truly night and day! We get so many compliments that our 20 year old refinished floors look newly installed. Tom's communication was excellent from start to finish, and his knowledge and expertise were clear every step of the way. The quality of his work is exceptional, with close attention paid to every detail. He even made minor repairs to the existing floors to ensure a consistent and flawless refinish throughout the house.

Tom is a perfectionist! We could not be happier with our new floors. We have a 100+ year old home with many areas that "settled" resulting in extreme differences in floor height. Tom and his crew were able to level the floor which was no easy task. I highly recommend Tom!

His team not only did a tremendous job, but also made the entire process seamless. Tom was communicative at every step — from scheduling the initial quote all the way through the project’s completion — and gave us a rundown of his progress each day. He listened to our preferences and concerns, and when we hit a hiccup (severe unevenness in the flooring of our very old house), he offered his recommendations for a solution without any pressure to accept — just a clear, thorough explanation of what he encountered.
