I feel like I was racially profiled on their immigration… fine they’re doing their job but… uhh I don’t feel welcome here… I guess I just need to lower my expectations. I should have chosen Mexico as my side trip from my US trip.

I just want to shout out a lady that helped me at Terminal 1 gate F this morning (I really wish I got her name). I was waiting for my laptop that I forgot in the car, and was worried if I would be able to make it through security and customs in time to make my flight. I asked this lady how long it might take me to get to my gate and she said I would be cutting it real close. She gave me really valuable advice, suggesting I download and app, and when I got past security, I was amazed at how much her tip helped me out! It saved me so much time, without that I may have honestly missed my flight!
If there's any way or any chance she might see or hear about this, I just want to say a huge, heartfelt thank you!!! Honestly a game changer!

Terminal 1 needs renovation. It looks run down. But, it was clean and organized. Friendly staff. I am disabled and was impressed with the great assistant to me when I willed in the airport door and when I walk on the plane I had all the help I needed from your staff thank you.

I was at US customs for over an hour and I forgot something at the booth so the officer told me to go print something so he called a lady that helped and guided me to go print my missing document, she told me to come back to the front of the line once I was finished.
When I came back I was let through the disabled/air crew line by the lady as she understood my circumstances and I was even with the US border officer talking and was about to be let through until I got interrupted by a random african lady wearing black glasses who happened to be a security guard telling me I cut the line. Despite explaining she was ignorant, and loud. I was running late to my flight and at that point it was boarding in 20 minutes. Despite that I was escorted to the end of the line by line staff which tried to help me but couldn't because of her power trip/tantrum.
I luckily installed the MPC app and got in the line with 7 minutes to spare in the end. Otherwise it would've been another hour or more to get through security which I would've missed my flight. This incident happened roughly 7:20 AM on the 5th of January. Pearson airport security has no empathy whatsoever, and "people" like her will always find a way to make someone's day miserable.

Courteous, polite employees (for most), quick passport control (this time), but over an hour waiting for the luggage to come out!!??? When there are no other carrousels working, no other flights, and ours was a rather small plane from Iceland!! And the thing would spit out like one suitcase every10mins! Who is working down there?? This is just ridiculous! It looked like they would walk all the way to the plane, grab a bag, walk slowly back, throw it on the conveyor, and repeat. Never seen anything like that...
