Couldn’t have been better! Absolutely fantastic experience! Probably the highlight of our week long trip to Costa Rica. Our driver, Pablo, picked us up at our resort and was so friendly and knowledgeable. He shared a lot of interesting information on the ride to Sensoria. He even spotted a sloth on the way and pulled over so we could take photos. Our guide at Sensoria, Joaquin, was incredible! He was extremely knowledgeable and so passionate about sharing the beautiful rainforest and its flora/fauna with us. The pools were amazing and definitely an added bonus. We couldn’t have had a better day. Thank you Pablo and Joaquin!

Best honeymoon trip! We had a wonderful experience on our tour with Pablo. He started out as our driver, then unexpectedly also became or tourguide at Sensoria as well. He took time to show us toucans, sloths, monkeys, snakes, plants, and trees along the way. He was our own personal photographer and took excellent photos of our experience. The views, waterfalls, pools, and hikes were beautiful. All the provided food was also great. Pablo spoke English very well. I would recommend this tour for anyone looking for an authentic Costa Rica experience.

A wonderful learning experience Joaquin and Pablo made the entire experience amazing from start to finish. The amount of knowledge that both of these men possessed and how they were Soo excited to share it made the experience that much more memorable for us. The private experience is truly beautiful and what the mission is at Sensoria is commendable.

It's a true hike, so dress for possible rain. The best part of my trip to Costa Rica. It is kept lovely by the fact that they only allow a certain number of people in each day. Had a fantastic guide who saw creatures that I never would have. The final course was delicious!

Incredible, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Our guide was practically fluent in English, quite knowledgable, and able to respond to any queries we had regarding the local flora and fauna. It was amazing to observe a sloth over the road as we were traveling to the area. It's going to be an amazing experience

Excellent! You cannot miss this corner of the Earth 🌍 Incredible personal experience in which you become part of the Forest, nature, where everything is absolute respect for the environment; many thanks to the Sensoria family, especially Jorge and Joaquin, the cook, all very professional and excellent people, and, Fernando, your project only brings me admiration 🥰🥰🥰🥰

Amazing! The rainforest was breathtaking. Our guide Joaquín was so knowledgeable and caring about the forest, and would point out plants and animals we never would have noticed ourselves. We felt so lucky to have picked this excursion while we were in the country. If you want to experience and learn about a real rainforest, this is the way to go. The area is conserved, so "the forest is not here for you; it's just here."

Amazing experience Amazing experience. Incredible place. Walk in the rainforest, we went to waterfalls, natural pools, and an amazing lunch. Just be careful in case you have limitations, I have bad knees and got worse because of the steps. But this is not on them, just my body that cannot handle.

10/10 Recommend What a fun experience! By husband and I took this tour during our honeymoon and just couldn’t get over it! Joaquin was our tour guide, and he was incredibly knowledgeable and fun to hike with. It was rainy for most of the hike, but that didn’t bother us at all- although I would recommend quick dry clothes. The thermal springs were gorgeous and the food at the base was excellent- our favorite meal from the trip (get the chicken and rice!!).

Otherworldly & worth the ROUGH ride!! Prepare to be transported!! From the moment you hit the dirt road, your journey will be unlike anything you have done before! Our guides were incredibly attentive, the preparation and equipment were top-notch, and of course the snacks and sights were remarkable. For our family outing of eight, they split us into two groups; one more leisurely, and one more strenuous. It was absolutely perfect! For the oldest member of our group, the steps proved to be quite difficult and our guide was more than gracious to help! We were still able to see thermal pools and a waterfall at a more relaxed pace. Our family ranged from age 7 to age 80. The experience of being in this spectacular rainforest will not be forgotten! Must haves: aqua sox/keens or similar for the waterfalls and thermal pools, and loose fitting/ very lightweight hiking pants to pull over a wet bathing suit. Note of caution: the last 45 to 60 minutes of the drive are INCREDIBLY rough road. It seems that the Sensoria shuttle/ transportation is not adequate for the roads. It would be an amazing investment to have a higher clearance vehicle with larger shocks, struts, and off-road tires-or at least some thing all-wheel-drive just in case you get stuck!!

Beautiful but not worth the price We picked the private luxury tour for two with transportation. For the price (just under USD $900), we had high expectations. We were departing from Playa Flamingo and were told that it would take 2 to 2.5 hours each way. But it took almost 4 hours to get there, and 4.5 hours plus a flat tire to get back home. The entire ride was extremely bumpy so prepare to get car sick. On our way to Sensoria, we stopped at a local cafe for coffee and pastries. We were expecting something traditional and different, but the snacks tasted like old, expired store-bought pastries. Once we arrived to Sensoria, we went on a 4.5-mile hike with swimming breaks. The rainforest was very beautiful and well maintained and our tour guides were very nice and attentive. We didn’t see as much wildlife as we would’ve liked but that’s just luck. The waterfalls and natural pools were very scenic and refreshing. One major disappointment was that the thermal pools were not warm at all. The water was basically cold. We were served wine and cheese at the last pool and had some private time together. At the end of the hike, we walked back to the main house where we were served what the website described as “designed chef lunch”. The food was very mediocre and it was stiflingly hot in the house so by that point we just wanted to leave and get home. And as I mentioned in the beginning, the ride home was miserable. Overall, though Sensoria is a beautiful place, the experience is not worth the steep price. For almost USD $900, I expect perfection. Here are a few suggestions: - Give an accurate estimated travel time. Our travel time was double what the tour operator told us. - Skip the morning cafe or pick some other place. It was not worth the stop - don’t advertise something as being a thermal pool if the water is going to be cold - Add a few fans in the main house - Add a few relaxation areas around the main house, like a few hammocks or lounge chairs so we can relax after the hike - Improve the quality of the food served

WOW. A gem of an experience This was an absolute highlight of our visit. We did the luxury plus tour and spent the day walking through a rainforest seeing a variety of animals like toucans, snakes, sloths, monkeys, etc. It was spectacular! Our guides Pedro & Issac were wonderful and very knowledgeable. The waterfalls did not disappoint. Thermal pool swimming was my favorite. We had a lovely lunch by one of the pools. We didn't get to do the lookout tower due to cloud cover, but saw so much else. We were picked up in Tamarindo and one thing I will say is to plan for a 12 hour day if you do this. 6 hours of driving, minimum depending on where you are. We were partially prepared for this, but thought it would be closer to 2 hours. I would suggest saying in Liberia and doing this tour from there to cut down on transit time and fully enjoy the pools and experience more. We might have stayed a little longer if we weren't facing a 3 hour drive home! But, all in all we are SO happy we did this and if we come back to Costa Rica we will absolutely stay in the rain forest more and explore there more as it was by far the highlight.

Beautiful place! Our guide, Isaac, was awesome! So knowledgable and friendly! The variety of flora was amazing, but we didn't get to see as much wildlife as I had hoped. We did see one beautiful tropical bird, 2 small snakes, a basilisk, and some leaf-cutter ants carrying leaves. No monkeys or sloths. When you arrive, they have changing rooms, and they tell you to change into your swimsuit and wear clothes on top. Then they offered like 3 or 4 different opportunities to swim, during the hike. I wish I had not worn tight athletic pants. They were such a pain to keep taking off and putting on in a super humid environment. Bring your most comfortable swimsuit, a towel, water shoes, sunscreen and bug spray. Wear loose-fitting and lightweight pants, and comfortable hiking or walking shoes. It's tempting to just wear quick-dry shorts, but the bugs will eat you alive, so wear pants. Since it's a rainforest, I debated getting waterproof hiking shoes, but ended up just wearing my Nike's, and it was totally fine. I think it always rains in the afternoon, so they just do tours in the morning, and then it will rain on your drive back.

A mini paradise on Mother Earth For me personally, since I love the rainforest and the waterfalls, the absolute highlight of our trip. It costs a little to get there but it is worth it more than a thousand times over. The pristine forest filled with streams and carefully maintained pools is a true wonder. Our guide Eri was perfect and very empathetic. Thank you very much for spoiling us!

Nice place, not the best. Very nice scenes, the walk is definitely a moderate walk, not easy. Isaac wasn't a good tour guide, he barely talked to us, didnt even said bye. Ticos, not really worth the money.

Sensoria Rainforest is a beautiful protected area of Costa Rica We had a very good time at Sensoria. The rainforest, waterfalls and scenery were beautiful. Our guide was a bit quiet but helpful and accommodating. We saw two waterfalls and were able to walk in them. The volcanic soils create the most clear and blue water we have ever seen. There were two plunge pools we were allowed to go in, as well as one thermal pool. Unfortunately the only wildlife we saw were some exotic birds and snakes (poisonous!). The property is in a type of land trust so it will not be disturbed with development, and they have motion cameras showing the wildlife within the park. The one downside is the ride to and from - horrible roads, very rough ride.
