Peter Frisina, the proprietor of Desert Rock, was friendly, helpful and extremely knowledgeable. I took his concealed carry course, and in this small-group setting he covered the relevant information in detail while avoiding wasting time on information not pertinent to AZ law, making his course 2-3 hours shorter than those of some other providers (the course was about 5 hours total). The course included testing, as well as fingerprinting and putting together everything needed in a packet for the DPS application for the CCW license. Highly recommended!

Highly recommended! Peter is very patient, professional and knowledgeable. I took the basic pistol class and will be signing up for more in the future. Thoroughly enjoyed learning in such a comfortable environment. I feel much more at ease, safe and confident in my skills. I am so late in writing, but better late than never. I was just looking for a basic gun safety class to get familiar with my gun and feel an overall sense of comfort. Peter provided all of that. He was very responsive to my emails. He does only accept a pre-pay cash payment to hold a reservation and hold the class portion in his home. But do not be deterred! He is extremely professional and provides a very professional setting. I took the class by myself and never once felt uncomfortable. His consistent communication leading up to the class made sure I was prepared. The class was very informative and the hands on instruction while in the class were very helpful. Safety is his number one priority. The second part of the class on the range was great. He has clear instruction, provides good feedback and ensures that I felt good with what we were going over. I would highly recommend Peter for any gun safety classes.

Peter was really patient and very knowledgeable on the aspects of fire arms. I will go back for me and I will recommend individuals for his classes because I learnt a lot.
