I'm totally impressed! They have a great selection of fresh and saltwater fish and I have to give a big thank you to the young man who took care of us. Not only was he knowledgeable, he was patient. We were in town visiting family and I found Discover by chance while Googling aquatic shops. I called about a specific item and was told what they had available. My grandson was getting a small aquarium up, so I wanted to get him some compatible fish .. he was so excited about going, but with the timing of the day, I was afraid we might not make it ( 2 boys, 3 baseball games, and 2 different ball fields). We got there within 10-15 minutes of them closing. And while a lot of people would be rushing you to get out, the young man who helped us went out of his way to answer all of my grandson's questions ( and he's an inquisitive little guy 😆). I appreciated that so much! I would definitely say if you are just starting with fish or looking to add / expand to your setup, go see these guys!

This shop has the basic freshwater choices. Their freshwater plant selection is great and they all look vibrant and healthy I haven’t even had die back. They had a good selection of rocks and mounted wood. I’m not familiar with saltwater but it seemed to be a good selection of fish but the live coral and fragrance selection was larger than any shop I’ve been to.

Ordered one of there white spotted bamboo sharks and one small blue tang came fast in mail got it next day at 10, everything was double packed good packaging 10/10 fish in amazing shape, I also asked for some videos/pictures via email replies were almost instantly with videos and pictures 10/10 customer service, even asked how was everything after delivery

Bought 4 fish from the same tank at the store, brought them home and acclimated them to our tank we were adding them to before setting them loose. The next morning one was showing signs of a bacterial infection in their gills so we removed them to isolation and they had died before we even got back with meds from the store. We noticed the other 3 were showing the same signs so we took them out, started treating the tank to keep the other fish safe, and went to return the fish that were sold to us sick. First thing the employee did was confirm the water we returned them in was perfectly safe and hadn't cause this. Then he put the 3 living fish BACK INTO THE SAME TANK THEY CAME FROM WITH ALL THE OTHERS! They did not care they were sick, they did not care they sold us sick fish, they didn't even say "sorry" or anything like that until we asked to talk to the store owner or manager. Their sorry was only about the owner being out for another week. I do not recommend buying any fish from this store, they don't care for the fish properly or even care to try. **Edit for the snarky owner- never said "how could they possibly be on vacation" or anything like that, your staff member had to be pushed for the return to take place, and the only time there was anything resembling an apology was him saying "sorry, they're out until next week". You make a good point about the whole tank needing to be treated. Except your employee sold more fish from that tank while we were still trying to get our money back. How are those being treated if that was the plan? Maybe instead of taking the time to try to roast people online for reviewing your services, you could work on a concept called customer service. I would say train your staff to improve it, but you clearly need the training first based off your rude, degrading, and straight up demeaning replies to any review that isn't sparkling shining with 5 stars and glowing words of praise.

I am so glad you took the time to write this review so I could reply. We do what we can at the store to prevent disease and such. We can only do so much with the amount of fish that come in and out of the store on a daily basis. If I were to hold all of the fish for a 2 week QT process, they would be 2-3 times the cost and I would get crucified by customers like yourself for the cost. Instead we do what we can with them while we have by running things like salt and copper throughout the systems and feeding heavily to make sure they are indeed in good shape when they leave our store. On to where it really tells me you have no idea what you are doing with fish is your second paragraph. Obviously if there is some issues with those particular fish, the other fish need to be treated as well. So you are very correct that they went back into the same tank (GASP) to be treated with all the other fish that needed it as well(oh wow who woulda thought). But instead of standing around for 2 minutes to ask questions and given the answer there in the store, you decided to be a keyboard hero and cry to Google. We absolutely care that they are sick. The tank they are in was cut off from the system and medicated before you even got back to the store to drop the other fish off. But again, you didn't take the time to find that out or understand how we do things, you just made your own assumptions and here we are. You came in with an issue. We gave you your money back. The fish are being treated in medication with the other fish in that same tank they came from. We also offer the 2 day guarantee just in case something like this happens and can replace the fish for you. You are right, it sure doesn't sound like we care very much. Also, my apologies for being out of town when this happened. I will be sure to schedule all further vacations around when you are going to be needing assistance!
