Medical Oncology Marvel My dad Mr Sajan Jhunjhunwala was diagnosed with locally advanced pancreatic cancer with mets in liver and second primary NET of the duodenum. Treated under the care of Dr Vivek Agarwala starting March 2021, after being referred to him by AIG Hospital, Hyderabad. Dr Vivek Agarwala went by his professional decision of giving Gemcitabine Nabpacli right from the first Chemo cycle instead of what some of the other senior medical oncologist's opinion of just giving sub optimal dose of Gemcitabine at the beginning and see how the patient tolerance goes before adding Nabpacli to his chemo routine. My personal opinion is that was a master stroke which improved the quality of his life for about 11 months. Dr Vivek patiently listened to all our concerns and explained every single pros and cons of all the decisions which we took during the course of the treatment, like what dose of chemo we should give in first line, whether we should go for radiation therapy, what chemo we should give in second line, when should we start the chemo free period of the patient and go for palliative care. In hind sight almost all the senior doctors familiar with the case said that we got almost every thing bang on target. God bless you Sir
