One to the best consultant for ENT problems. Very patiently listens to history of the issues and makes the patient understand the cause of the issue and gives expert advices with minimal medicines. She is my go to doctor for my family and I refer my relatives to her as well. All are fully satisfied by her treatment and positive results. My experience was for hearing loss issue which she analyzed well and gave the best possible solution. My family was infected with COVID in the month of May. After going through so many complications, I was suspected for Black Fungus and was operated in a famous hospital in Hyderabad by a different surgeon. As my biopsy and other reports came negative, I was discharged. But even after a month from surgery, my situation had not improved and I was advised to consult Dr. Sampurna (By then she was treating my mother for Mucormycosis). In a single glance, she confirmed that I was suffering from Mucormycosis. When most of the so called senior doctors failed to diagnose, she not only confirmed the presence of fungus but also advised for an immediate surgery. Fast forwarding to 3 months, now I am back to good health condition and recovering from the disease. I can't thank Dr. Sampurna enough. She is my life saviour. Thanks alot for your constant follow ups and also for providing us clear cut guidance and support throughout the recovery. After all, this is what a patient needs to recover. We approached Dr.Sampurna Ghosh for my grandfather who was S/o with mucormycosis postcovid so he had undergone FESS debridement by DR.Sampurna Ghosh and the sample was sent to pathology for confirmation. Unfortunately it was confirmed as mucor, doctor clearly explained us about the treatment but we denied further treatment and continued antifungal drug. We approached her again after 2 weeks as his condition was deteriorating. She suggested MRI scan which revealed the infection had spread to skull base. She immediately started treatment and he was out of infection within 2months. Thanks a lot to her patience, concern. We approached Dr. Sampurna Ghosh for my dad who was complaining of pain in the right cheek after 8 days of getting discharged from COVID-19, She did her initial assessment and instructed us to get his dental PNS (X-ray of the paranasal sinuses (PNS) waters view) Once she had the PNS report and it was diagnosed that My dad has Mucormycosis (Black fungus) She immediately order for a Fess surgery to clean up the sinuses on both sides and sent the samples to biopsy for confirmation. We received teh dreadful news in 5 days confirming that it was indeed Mucormycosis , It was spreading fast and we had to get dad a total maxillectomy and she was adept in handling along with the her team at medicover (Dr Naveen Kokkula) maxiofacial surgeon. The surgery was done successfully and dad was saved. We used to get dad's reports week on week to assess the post surgery healing process and she was extremely helpful in completely curing dad from Mucormycosis. I met doc for 'Sudden Sensorineural hearing loss' along with 'Tinnitus' and she took a decision to give me intratympanic steroid injection therapy which included 4 shots of steroid given on alternate days through the tympanic membrane. After 1 month of the treatment, I completely regained my hearing loss and tinnitus also went away very significantly. She has been so informative, supportive and caring throughout the treatment. Dr. Sampurna Ghosh is a wonderful doctor, magnificent in her specialisation ie ENT. Very professional and knowledgeable. listens to your concerns. Glad I was under her treatment during the dreadful Mucormycosis and got well within a month and half time. My father 67 years old tested positive for covid in month of October 2020 he was admitted in local hospital, according to the covid treatment protocol he was given steroids for five days with minimal dose. A month later he was complaining about headache near the eyebrow, with my sisters (Dr jyothirmai) advice we went to an entire specialist and came to know suspected mucormycosis. He undergone one FESS surgery in near by town which didn't helped him much. Than came to know about Dr sampoorna gosh, taken her consultation, from day one she is with us till today in all way.
