It was a nice trip and we did spot some dolphins and two whales, that have been so close to a harbour, that you didn't need to be on a boat to watch them.. Due to the amount of people on the boat, it was difficult to see them anyway. Also there have been more people than seats on the boat!

Great customer service.
I just wanted to say that this company has integrity and great customer service. We booked a tour and it was cancelled due to weather; when I did not respond to their email, they actually took the time and effort to call me to ask how I wanted to handle things. We booked for a night later in our tour, but that one cancelled due to weather as well. By then, I had WiFi access and got the email. I was able to cancel our booking as we were leaving the next day. Easy, prompt cancellation online.Very few companies are as responsible and responsive as this one.

Buyer beware
Frequently cancelled, although you do get a return visit if you don’t see the lights. If that return is cancelled again by the operator there is no refund.Buyer beware… Nice view but no auroras.

Humpback whales
The whale watching trip was booked as a last minute trip as we had seen orca and minkie whales from the shore elsewhere. This trip exceeded expectations following 3 humpback whales for what seemed a lifetime. Fabulous photos taken by team which were available within days. A brilliant way to end our trip to Iceland

What a fantastic experience. The tour narrator was excellent and even if we hadn't seen anything, I would be pleased. We saw a pod of white beaked dolphins and two humpback whales. Amazing

We've been on an afternoon whale watching from Reykjavik. Despite quite rough waves we managed to see a whale.
There were 3 boats around this whale trying to escape as fast as it can so it feels like this is just whale harassment. I'm a bit disappointed about this. Otherwise, the staff was very friendly and helpful.

Amazing sights close up
Well organised once we found the ticket kiosk. Lots of sightings of 2 humpback whales very close to the boat. Rough seas made it difficult to get good photos but the crew shared their photos from our trip which was an unexpected bonus. Because of the rough seas quite a few people were unwell. Sea sickness medication was offered from the beginning but really needs to be taken 1-2 hours before sailing. We had taken ours so didn’t have a problem with this. Would strongly recommend taking your own beforehand.

Eldey is a great ship, especially if you've got a sea sickness as the bottom deck is very low so you don't feel much of waving, especially if you seat close to the middle. Deck is well secured, the only trouble is it can be overcrowded with people when whale is on front of the ship, then everyone is pushing to the front, and you'll get squashes if standing directly by the barrier, or you'll be struggling to see anything, when whales are on the side, then there is no problem.
Anyway, trip worth the price I've paid, Humback seen as promised, crew polite and friendly, plus you'll get free, very good quality photos of the wildlife you've seen during the trip sent to your email via download link, so you don't have to be standing with a camera or phone all the time, and you can enjoy watching instead of fighting for a mobile phone photos :)

Boissons chaudes servies gratuitement.

Magical Northern Lights
Really excited for this trip. Unfortunately and understandably our first booking got cancelled due to the weather being bad, but they happily changed it free of charge for thr next evening. The staff are really friendly and knowledgeable about the Northern lights and they provide sea sickness prevention tablets (FOC) for those that may have a funny tummy at sea, they also have an on board bar and overalls to keep you extra toasty whilst outside. Although on this occasion the lights were not visible to the eye, through the camera they were and the guide explained tips for cameras to get the best shots! Because the lights were not as good as they could have been, Elding provided a complementary ticket for another time! Highly recommend!

No whales, but still a nice time
The trip was great and the guide was very informative. We saw some dolphins but no whales, which was kind of a let down but certainly not within the tours control. My only complaint was that the tour was so booked, that when we DID see dolphins, it was almost impossible to find a spot on the railing and never did get a great shot of them. All in all though, I'd do it again and just try to get a spot on the rail and stay there. It was nice that they had suits to keep you dry and hot tea and coffee on board with snacks. Very cozy.
