Emily is amazing! My experience with her has been excellent. My dog Rupert is so happy when he comes home after running around in the field with the other dogs. I work from home, but I’ve loved that he can get the exercise and socialization that he deserves during the work day. Would highly recommend :)

Emily provides a great off-leash experience for my dog. He struggles with me sometimes off leash, as he's an oportunistic eater and has selective recall, but he's had great success with Emily on weekly pack walks. It's so great to find someone who I feel safe leaving my dog with. He always looks like he's having the best time with his pals in the updates she posts on social media. Highly recommend Urban Canine :)

We had a great experience with Urban Canine. Emily communicated very well with us and our two dogs. Emily taught us how to reduce tension when meeting other dogs and get a better handle on our one dog that liked to pull. We would definitely recommend Urbane Canine.

Having our very energetic border collie get picked up twice a week for a play has been so helpful both while we were working and now while I am on maternity leave. It has been so helpful in easing our minds those two days by ensuring we know our dog is getting the activity she needs! Highly recommend :)

Emily provides a safe, fun and convenient service. I love that she has a good sized vehicle and straps the dogs in. I also love the convenience of her coming to pick up and drop off the dogs. Finally, it’s great fun for my pup to be able to socialize and run, sniff and do dog things, instead of lying around all day and then only getting a structured leash walk. Highly recommend!

I have had a wonderful experience with Emily as both a one-on-one trainer and as the pack walk leader for my cockapoo puppy. She listened to and adapted to my priorities, helped me train behaviours that seemed daunting, and always took extra time to ensure my understanding. Emily communicates clearly, is punctual, and made me feel confident training my own puppy and comfortable socializing him with a larger group of older dogs during pack walks. I would like to thank Emily for helping me to work with my rescue, Isabelle. She had become quite reactive due to her life experiences and it was difficult to just go on walks with her. After the first lesson I was able to do just that which was fantastic; however the change didn't stop there. Emily's advice, tips and guidance on how to change Isabelle's attitude gave me the confidence to expand our area of walking and meeting other people and dogs. It has changed our lives for the positive. Although we are not perfect, I know have some techniques that will help us evolve further and make the enegaement with the world easier and more acceptable to Isabelle. I am extremely grateful for this.

Emily and the pack walks are amazing! Our puppy loved going for his pack walks so much, he would sit and stare out the window waiting for his ride to pick him up. It was a great way to get him socialized and strengthen his off leash walking & manners

Emily has lovingly taken care of multiple family dogs for us! We've been using Emily's incredible talent for over 10 years! I can't recommend Emily enough. She is absolutely a dog whisperer! Dogs know Emily is the pack leader when she walks in a room. She is calm, talented and confident and the dogs just know she's the lead. She's also an incredibly hard worker, extremely educated in canine behaviors, an incredible communicator and reliable, reliable, reliable. My dogs would be waiting at the door for her to arrive on their pack walk days with Emily and friends :-) I don't think there is a better service out there for you and your dog/s! Thank Emily!

Emily is an amazing dog walker. Our dog Bailey just loves her and the pack that she walks with. Abby, our other dog goes occasionally and Emily is always happy to take her for a social! If I could give her more than five stars, I would. She’s the best dog 🐶 walker in Ottawa! She is reliable, communicative, loves the dogs, and has the best personality possible. Her web portal is easy to navigate, she is fabulous at sending our statement out to us and the pictures on her Facebook are great to see of the dogs having fun together. We called a lot of places and interviewed many people and she is the best by far.!!!💕

Emily is awesome - she really knows her stuff! We got in touch with her when our big boy was around 5 months old to help with training and walking, and it was great! She gave us lots of tricks and tools to train him. When we ran into some behavioral issues after he was a year old, we quickly got in touch with her so she could help us. And she did! We can now confidently let him roam off leash and he listens quite well. If you’re looking for a trainer, I would highly recommend her!

We first consulted Emily when our dog, Zander, had difficulty socializing with other dogs. She offered us one on one training and came directly to our home. Within two sessions there was a significant improvement so we signed Zander up for pack walks, where Emily takes a group of dogs to an area to run and play. Zander fit in incredibly well and now we even have play dates with our friend's dog! Absolutely amazing trainer and truly matches the sessions to your specific needs. Thanks Emily!!

We loved working with Emily and would highly recommend her! Emily is very knowledgeable and taught us how to apply psychological principles to give our dog purpose and solve problems. Emily was always on time, and never rushed through a session. She explained everything in great detail, showed us what to do, helped us practice, and answered all of our questions. Our dog, who was normally very nervous around new people, warmed up to her quickly - largely due to the way she acted around him. We saw changes in his behaviour during the lessons, and I think our dog really had fun training with her - you could see it in the way that he lit up when he was working out challenges. We loved having the ability to do 1-on-1 sessions in our home, specific to our dog's needs. Emily's work with him and with us, and our practice between sessions, definitely improved his interactions with people. This was the best training experience we've ever had (including previous 1-on-1 training with another trainer and group training classes).

I started working with Emily about 9 months ago with our shepherd husky mix, River. She was 2 years old at the time, and had an extremely sensitive and reactive personality. The bulk of our training has been on her leash reactivity and impulse control. The success we’ve had with Emily guiding us has been awesome. River has amazing leash manners now and typically passes very peacefully. Emily is caring, she’s professional, and she’s knowledgeable. I can’t recommend her enough for any dog training goals you have. We’ve been able to put Emily’s vast knowledge to use in many different ways. Not only has it been extremely rewarding, but it’s been a lot of fun. We’ve worked on introducing a second dog to the family without a hiccup, teaching both dogs to be safe around our free range chickens, and teaching River to pull a sled/cart. We’ve also worked on making it peaceful when people come to the house which currently includes little kids and elderly. Our family has plans to expand our homesteading to include more animals as well as a guardian dog. Once that gets up and running in the spring Emily will be one of our first calls.
