There are a lot of talked up restaurants in NYC that don’t live up to the hype, but this one does! Estela is one of the best restaurants in the city and it is shocking that it is still somewhat easy to book. The food is out of this world, with extremely creative dishes. If you are on the fence about booking, book now!!

I had a reservation for a month for my girlfriend’s birthday. Not only did they tell us that the table we had had to be abdicated for the next reservation at 9:15, but the waiter said “I need you to order food in the next five minutes” during our first encounter / the drink order. Insane attitude to have when the dishes are this pricey. Hard pass; NY has amazing food spots and Estella is not one.

Our second time there, and it’s as good as we remembered it. We had sourdough, oysters, celery salad, endive, and mackerel. All delicious!

I was so excited to return to Estela after my visit a couple of years ago and it lived up to everything I remembered it to be. The classic arroz negro and ricotta dumplings are as delicious as I remember. The scallops here are exceptional and the tuna belly was delicious. Desserts were incredibly too, we got the lychee sorbet and chocolate cake which perfectly balanced one another. The vibe here is always buzzing and service is great. Looking forward to my return.

We had some Ricotta Dumplings which was amazing dish! It was best things I’ve eaten lately. And I got strawberry negroni. Sensational and highly recommend.

Definitely in my top 10 nyc restaurants, and that says a looot, there are too many amazing places. Food is amazing, music, atmosphere, vine, wines, just great. Do not skip on the endive salad, they will recommend it because it is really worth it.
