To add on (as of 1pm, 18 Dec): We have just sought another optometrist’s assessment in Toa Payoh Central as recommended by EssilorSG today after the below episode. The assessment is the same as the doctor’s assessment. We have attached the doctor’s report and the optometrist’s report to further conclude and justify what we have posted earlier, more importantly not to fall into their so called “GOLD” standard of their myopia management programme 😭 To avoid skewed remarks made in the Evershine website , I have decided to attach the entire chats for transparency. ——————————————————— As of 16 Dec 24 Very unprofessional and defensive attitude by Winston in dealing with my son’s myopia issue. Brought my son to tackle his myopia issue at Evershine since they have been around for many years when the shop used to be managed by his parents but regretted and hoped that this review will deter you from approaching their service. My son has been placed in their myopia control program since Feb 24 using Stellest lenses. In Aug 24, his eye power increased and we paid for a new pair of lenses. On 20 Nov 24, we were told that there is no change to his eye power and to seek the doctor’s assessment to further help control his myopia and to consider atropine to supplement his myopia treatment. To our shock , when we visited the doctor on 4 Dec (ie 2 weeks apart) , the doctor assessed my boy’s eye power and found that his right eye has increased by +125 and over eye by +50. As the prescription is highlighted suspected to be under corrected , we approached Winston for clarification especially since the assessment was done only within 2 weeks apart. Instead of showing care and offering us another review of my boy’s eye conditions, he was defensive and defended his optometrist’s findings despite my Stellest lenses are well within the warranty period. Hi Bernard, it's unfortunate that you think we have not been professional when dealing with your son's myopia. ( Let us remind you that you are entitled to your opinion but if your intention is try to discredit and defame us , which you are, we will be seeking legal advice on this matter. ) If you want to keep insisting that we are unprofessional and made the wrong assessment with regards to your son's myopia, we have to defend that unfortunately. You have also written to Essilor Singapore and keep alleging that we are unprofessional and made the wrong assessment. In addition to that, you accused us for not honoring the warranty for the lenses that you had purchased. We would like you to provide proof that we said we are not going to honour the lens warranty for you. If all you want is to change the lens under warranty ( which we did not dishonour), it's very simple. 1) Come in with the doctor's prescription . We asked for it repeatedly but you refused to give it to us. 2) With that, we will double check the prescription. We always do this unless you insist on using the doctor's prescription. 3) We wil change the lenses if there is more than -0.75 diopter change within 6 months, (now 9 months). It's as simple as that. You don't have to say we made the wrong assessment. neither did we say the doctor made the wrong assessment ( which often times, their prescription is slightly off that's why we always double check). Our Myopia mangement program is GOLD STANDARD and offered to our customers at no extra cost . It's unfortunate that you do not appreciate what he have done. I wore glasses for over 30 plus years of my life and I never had the experience of going through such an elaborate suite of eye checks. I was happy to know that there’s a possibility to have a bench mark done to such a precision such that I was able to see the finest letters that I have never ever tried to read in any optical shop. Not the cheapest optician by any stretch, but I rather have peace of mind knowing that a thorough eye examination has been conducted, including a Glaucoma eye pressure test if you are older.

Winston and his dad have been my go-to opticians for the past 20 years. Now there’s Jia Hui who is equally patient and professional just like the father and son. Must highlight that both Winston and Jia Hui are qualified optometrists who provide thorough eye checks using advance diagnostic equipment as part of their service. I feel that my eyes are very well taken care of. The shop carries a wide selection of glasses. Highly recommended.

Brought our son there, reasonable service but their prices after discount no longer competitive, manufacturer has Suggested Retail Prices NOT Forced Retail Prices... please compare especially high end frames...... most places will open price with 10 to 21 percents discount than adjusted more if u r serious... this place kinda out of touch with the workd

Prices of our eyewear are all clearly marked and together with lenses, is also clearly communicated to our customers. Nobody is forced to accept our prices if they find it unreasonable. Most of our customers who buy from us get a comprehensive eye exam, including eye health screening using advance equipment. These tests can cost more than a hundred dollars but we provided them at no extra cost to our customers. Customers who purchase myopia control spectacle package also get 3 to 6 scheduled follow up visits to check the progression of myopia. These follow up visits, typically cost $50 to $60, are also provided at no extra cost to our customers. We run promotions occasionally offering up to 50% discount off our frames. Went to Evershine to replace my broken lens. I got my glasses from them 3 years ago and they still have my record. Excellent service provided by optometrist Jia Hui, eye examination was detailed & thorough. She also did an eye health check with fundus photography for me when I collected my lens. Most of the equipment used were Zeiss. Very satisfied, will definitely recommend to others.

Highly recommending Evershine Optical! I've worn a pair of glasses for 6 months that is not quite right and Evershine helped me get the correct prescription. The equipment is state-of-the-art and the most advanced I have seen, they even have computer guided centration! The shop is also a Zeiss Vision Expert partner of Zeiss which adds credibility and assurance. Would like to thank also Jia Hui of Evershine Optical as she is very meticulous and provided information that I've never heard before from previous opticians. She is also very meticulous and provides expert opinion. Extremely satisfied with the latest pair I recently got from Evershine! Update: Lost my IC Berlin Rio specs and have to go overseas. I contacted Evershine if they still have the frame in stock and if possible to hold one in reserve for me. They only have one left and they did hold it in reserve for almost a month for me, for which I am grateful. As usual, the service is top notch and excellent!

A great glasses shop with excellent services. My glasses frame got damaged at a time just couple months past the one year warranty. I recently replaced my lenses at Evershine Optical, and I just want to commend Jia Hui for helping me to check on my eyes, and prescribe an accurate measurement of my eyes. She recommended a good pair of office lenses based on my need. You could sense that she did love her job, she was respectful, attentive and a pretty detailed when doing her job. When collecting my glasses, I was pleasantly surprised, that she helped me to do free eye tests, to check on the pressure, if I have symptoms of glaucoma and if there were traces of blood in the eye balls. They kept the records as a base for a future reference. I’d recommend Evershine and Jia Hui, should you need your glasses or lenses repaired. Hope it helps.
