Our food tour was lead by Arela and was great. She took us to great local places, put things in perspective, and answered all of my questions. It is also a great deal. She also gave recommendations on future things to eat in Greece including a wine on day trip the next day to the pelponesse.

Absolutely fantastic tour. If you get the chance it should be a must do! Rachel, our guide, who was so knowledgeable, friendly and shared a deep love of Greek food and culture seemingly effortlessly, took us to places you most likely wouldn’t find and the food was fabulous! I can’t wait to come back and take the tour again

Definitely a highlight of our trip!!! Arela & Sofia were the perfect hosts and immediately felt like old friends. The walk was perfectly timed with tastings evenly spaced out. We got to meet the owners of the establishments, learn about their offerings and then of course eat!!! Everything was so delicious. The tour was exactly what I’d hoped plus more. I left with much more knowledge of Greek culture, language, etc. And Arela & Sofia offered more recommendations for the rest of our stay.

We had such a great time with Sophia and Arela. They were so kind and thoughtful and knew so much about the city and other places in Greece. They took time to get to know us and were very thoughtful about what we were eating. We left full but not uncomfortable and felt that it was a great value for the price. This is definitely the food tour to do if you’re in Athens.

Rachel was one of the most outstanding hosts I ever had the pleasure of meeting. She learned all of our names and used them while getting to know us as humans instead of customers. She was extremely accommodating to the group’s needs and we got to learn some new and interesting things about Athens and Greece. BRING YOUR APPETITE! This tour has A LOT of delicious food and beverages that will fill you up quickly. Rachel was extremely sweet, animated, and a lot of fun to hang out with. We went to multiple venues, tasting olives, olive oil, honey, and authentic Greek dishes. I cannot recommend this tour enough! You will not be disappointed!

Excellent food tour!
Mike was great, so much knowledge and expert in his area! We loved all the food, and couldn’t eat another thing! Great range of food, fabulous company and seeing parts of Athens we would have never otherwise experienced. Thank you!

Great Food Tour!!
I would highly recommend this tour. We were shown some great hidden gems. Loved the fish & meat markets. Got to try some great local produce; local honeys, olives, olive oils, cured meats and cheese. Enjoyed Meze’s in 2 small restaurants. Loved it all.

This is a great tour that will show you different shops and two restaurants that felt very local. I never would have found them otherwise which is exactly the reason why I recommend this tour. The food was great and our guide Michael was lovely and very knowledgeable

Good food and good company
Our tour guide was “Mike,” in Greek either Mihalis or Mikail. He was engaging and, important when it comes to food tasting, tolerant and non-judgmental about food tastes. He seemed to know the everyone in town. He offered a great glimpse into local life. Our itinerary of tastings included coffee with spanakopita, olive oil and olives, honey from a local producer, cured meats and more. It was fun and a lot of food. 5 stars.

A lovely way to spend 3.5 hours

An essential trip through Athens food culture!
We experienced foods and culture we never would have known existed without this tour. Our guide took us through the streets of Athens, chatting with locals along the way and having us try foods from markets, restaurants, and little shops. Overall an incredible experience!

This tour is definitely a must-do when you’re in Athens! It’s the best way to dive into authentic local food, exploring small specialized shops, markets, and food stands. Unlike the more touristy, commercialized restaurants, you’ll eat just like the locals do and try a variety of delicious, unique foods. Rachel was incredibly friendly, an amazing storyteller, and her passion really shines through. You can see the relationships she’s built with all the vendors and market sellers in every corner.
