We found Adrian, Glyn and all the team at Forseys to be courteous, kind, helpful and respectful. They gave comfort at a particularly difficult time and made sure the cremation and thanksgiving service went without a hitch. We thoroughly recommend them.

The staff of Forsey and Son and particularly our funeral director, Sally Lock, handled the whole process from first appointment to the end of the funeral service with tact, compassion, sympathy and quiet competence. They helped to make a traumatic experience both bearable and manageable.

Sadly, we lost mum earlier this year. On behalf of myself and my sister Tish, we would especially like to thank Debbie Goldsmith for her kindness, care and compassion. Debbie helped, supported and guided us every step of the way. Her empathy, respect and professionalism were second to none. My father died on Friday 12 July. On Monday 15 July my sister and I met with Deborah and her colleague to plan for his funeral. From that moment on we felt confident that all that had to be done would be sensitively, thoughtfully and efficiently organised. Deborah had an eye for detail. She communicated promptly via email when we raised questions. She kept us updated via email every step of the way. She understood our concerns regarding the music technology and checked and rechecked that our wishes were realised. She corresponded with our chosen Minister to ensure the funeral service run smoothly. On the day of the funeral we were able to relax knowing we were in Deborah’s safe hands. Flexibility was offered when we requested our family visited the Garden of Remembrance to see where dad and mum’s ashes would be interred, so important to his 96 year old brother. A follow up informal meeting with Deborah led to all ends being tied up within days of the funeral taking place. I would highly recommend Forsey and Son to others in a similar position.

On behalf of myself, my sister and our families we would like to thank all the team at Forsey and Son (Glastonbury), particularly Debbie Goldsmith, for the empathy, care and respect shown towards us for our Father's funeral (as was for our Mother last year). Once again Debbie and her team were compassionate, respectful and professional and made the whole procedure, at what was a sad time, so much easier for us. Communication was fantastic throughout and we couldn't have asked for a nicer send off for Dad. The respect shown by all of the staff at Forseys was exemplary and so very much appreciated. Sadly our family have lost both lovely parents within a year. The kind, empathetic and professional services of Forsey & Son have helped bring us comfort and reassurance at these times. Debbie Goldsmith has managed our needs with every wish catered for. Nothing has been too much trouble, she has guided and fully supported us through this journey. Her respect and care for our parents when they were with her, organisation of the crematorium, church, family pall bearers to have training, viewing of cars to ensure family members would be able to access on the day...no detail left uncovered and being there on the funeral days walking in front of the hearse until we were out of view of the family home. There was consistent communication throughout, so we were never left concerned at what was happening and we really cannot praise enough the service we have received. This sad time was made immensely easier using Forsey & Son Funeral Directors. Thankyou.

I would highly recommend Forsey and Son. We received a very professional, respectful and understanding service from Michael and the whole team. We were guided through the process very clearly and supported with every decision in a compassionate manner. At a time of high emotion it’s vital to have a balance between compassion and organisation and Michael was perfect at this. Communication was superb and nothing was too much trouble. We felt confident that every request had been dealt with and, indeed, on the day of the funeral itself, the whole family felt that my dad had a beautiful send off. Thanks to the whole team.

Unfortunately I lost my mum very quickly, not knowing the first thing about the stages of when someone passes, Forseys were amazing, he Funeral Directors who came to collect her, they showed such respect and grace (Paul & Jason). Sally Lock was assigned to our family, from the moment I met her she showed impeccable sympathy, empathy, professionalism and a genuine care for us as a family. She was so kind through every step, always a message or call away, she offered advice and small sentiments that she thought our mum would have loved. I cannot understand how perfect she made every aspect of her service for us, considering she never ever met her. Sally was so supportive from the first interaction we had with her, on the day of the funeral she was just so gentle and empathetic. I cannot even put into words how wonderful she is as a person, she genuinely helped me personally in a time when I felt so alone, taking so much strain off of me. A true credit to Forseys. It takes a special person to do her job and help families in their time of need, but it takes an even more special person to show such empathy and love in a professional way. I will forever be grateful for her help and Forseys as a whole. I cannot recommend them enough. Thank you for everything!

Dad’s wishes were that on his passing he wanted Forsey & Son to conduct the proceedings and we can totally understand why. From the initial contact, very late evening, Sally showed such empathy, kindness and reassurance at a very difficult time. The compassion, care, respect, professionalism, co-ordination and guidance afforded by Sally was outstanding. Sally was there on hand throughout the planning, making a distressing time much easier to handle. Sally and the team supported us magnificently through the day ensuring that Dad had the smooth and beautiful send-off that he deserved. Thank you so much.

My Auntie passed away recently and we decided as a family we wanted to use Forsey’s and sons as the undertakers. From the moment we stepped into their doors, we were made to feel welcome. We had the lovely Sally looking after us. She was so kind and patient, especially with my father. You see my dad use to be an undertaker and sold the business to Forseys years ago and obviously and a good understanding of the job, and shared his experiences and stories of his time as an undertaker. Sally was so kind and gentle with him, and patiently listening to his stories, that it made me feel even more emotional that someone would have this kindness and not ask them to move on and discuss the funeral arrangements that we were obviously there to discuss. Being an undertaker is a challenging job and Sally is clearly destined to do it with her excellent listening skills and kind heart and professionalism. She made the right move to change her career path. In terms of the service we received at Forsey’s, we could not fault a thing. Sally was there on the end of the phone or email if we needed her. We were able to do everything in house. From ordering flowers, and designing the service sheet, to choosing the coffin and the type of service we wanted. Organising a funeral for a loved one is emotional and challenging when you’re all over the place, and knowing everything was taken care of was a great relief, especially when the day went so smoothly thanks to all the team. I cannot recommend Forsey and Sons highly enough. From the moment I met Sally I knew I was in safe hands. Communication was spot on, and she has been there with me throughout the entire process, from when my Dad first passed away, to the final burial of his ashes many months later. I am so very appreciative of the level of care, support, professionalism I received, at a time when I felt very out of my depth and alone. Thank you.

I have used Forsey and son for both of my parents funerals and the service is outstanding. The time and care they give to each person is 10/10.

During such a difficult time Sally was a great support to us all, including my husband Colin who calmly organised his own funeral which we all knew was only a few weeks away. There was a great rapport between them with respect and humour intertwined, making this very difficult time less agonising than it could have been. Her coordination of all parties involved; vicar, organist, cemetery, programmes, music, the ‘much loved’ tribute page all went smoothly. Her care and compassion for us all, both in the planning before and after Colin’s passing was outstanding. On the day itself her professionalism ensured the Funeral went to plan and we were able to give Colin the send off he deserved. All staff on the day were very well turned out and put us at ease with their kindness and calming influence.

I was most impressed with the calm, efficient and professional way Forsey and Son carried out my wishes for a recent funeral. I felt totally confident with them from the first moment I dealt with Forsey and Sons and would be happy to recommend them.

Sally Lock and the whole team at Forseys have been wonderful at this difficult time. Her correspondence has been efficient and immaculate, only bettered by her perfect performance on the day of the cremation and the kindness she extended to us, face to face. We are so grateful for her very considerate and compassionate professionalism. No one looks forward to this kind of event, but if and when we have to do another event like this, we will not hesitate to return to Forseys.
