Nonstop action on the 8th Continent! I cannot say enough good things about Madagascar and Friendly Tour Guide/Tony our guide. The accommodations were great. The activities planned made every village we stopped at a worthwhile educational and adventurous tour rolled into one. The views, the nature, and the wildlife all met and exceeded expectations. Getting through the country is not a walk in the park, but I promise she will amaze you and win you over. We went and stopped through over a dozen towns, a couple of National Parks and a gee other reserves, topped off with a beautiful beach stay to top it off. I would recommend this company and the 7 day tour as a minimum, our only regret being we didn’t have more time to book more days and see the North. I would recommend this tour, and this company for they do as good a job as I have seen in planning all days to their fullest to experience all ends of what Madagascar has to offer.

Great experience We had a great time seeing the lemurs and learning about Madagascar our guide Christian was a wealth of knowledge and Lewis who drove us around has some mad driving skills thanks guys for a memorable day ☺️

Super Trek with Manal Guide Very nice experience with the super Guide Manal! We did 3 days of trekking in the Andringitra Park, with Manal as Guide. Check-out from Ambalavao in 4x4 until Check-out of the trek. Manal took care of the shopping and all the stewardship for the trek (bearer, cook). The scenery is beautiful and the meals were excellent. We were spoiled!! Thank you!

Refreshing Day Trip including Lemur's I went on a day trip with Tony and a colleague, and it was a fantastic experience to escape Tana after a long week of work. Tony is a friendly and knowledgeable guide.

Amazing experience This was an amazing experience. Everything was perfectly organized. We saw many animals and learned about life and culture in Madagascar. We had two kids with us and everybody enjoyed the trip.

A compact but ADVENTURE filled 3-day tour that we won't soon forget! We don't have much experience with guided tours, as we tend to travel around at our own pace HOWEVER, it was absolutely the right choice to book this tour! Our guide was a very professional young man called Lee as well as our driver Landry. Lee is incredibly knowledgeable and clearly passionate about his country, he taught us many interesting things about Madagascar during our long drives between locations. He also helped me navigate the tipping system that they have in Madagascar, which I'm totally not used to coming from the UK. Landry is also an excellent driver and made us feel very safe during our journey, despite the very "adventurous" conditions of most of Madagascar's roads. We took the 3-day Andasibe tour and were very pleased at the end of the trip. Day 1 - We were picked up from our hotel in Antananarivo and then took a roughly 4~5 hour drive east to the Andasibe area. On our way to the hotel, we stopped off at our first location, Madagascar Exotic Park, to see some of the local reptilian wildlife. They had all sorts of chameleons, geckos, snakes, frogs and other small critter that can be found across Madagascar. After a little more driving we checked-in to a lovely cottage style room at "Lemur's Lodge" We took a few hours break to drink some coffee and rest a little bit before we went out into the forest for a night-time animal spotting tour. There we had another fantastic local guide named Chris (who's father apparently started the tour business in that area) and he was very knowledgeable about the creatures of the forest. He also had the eyes of a hawk, so could spot things that we couldn't even see when he pointed them out to us! Day 2 - After breakfast in the morning we went back out in to the same forest to see some of the daytime creatures. Most notably were the Indri Indri and Sifakas lemurs. It was truely and amazing experience to see these beautiful creatures out in the wild. Again thanks to Chris and his knowledge of the forest, we were also able to see the harder to spot Bamboo lemurs. Apparently they spend most of the day asleep after eating, so see them in action is rare that the other species. We then visited another lemur park to see some different species including the Ruffed lemur. There were also more Sifakas lemurs but this time they were down on the ground eating, so were able to see their famous “dancing walk” which is absolutely adorable. In the same area we also visited another nature reserve where we could meet lots of the other beautiful creatures of Madagascar. They had many large crocodiles in particular, which of course we met from a distance! Day 3 - On the last day we could sleep in a little extra which was nice, then we headed on the long drive back to Antananarivo to hit our final stop of the tour, the Queen’s Palace. Situated on top of the hill, it’s looks out with an almost 360 degree view of the capital and the highlands beyond. Our guide there, Jackie, was also very lovely and shared with us lot’s of insight into the history of the royal family and also the many different tribes of Madagascar. Fun tours near Antananarivo I took two tours with them. The first was a full day tour to Ampefy which I booked through TripAdvisor, and the second was to Andasibe which I booked with them directly. I was a bit nervous paying in cash, but there are fewer fees and it made it more affordable. Everything worked out well and they were all responsive. Lee was a great tour guide and made sure we all had everything we needed and was flexible with our needs. I would strongly recommend him.

Amazing Tour of Madagascar We did a 7D6N tour of Madagascar in late April 2024. What an amazing experience! We were a little concerned about the logistics as it was our first time to Madagascar. A friend who had a tour with Friendly before gave very high remarks about Tony and indeed he and his team did an excellent job with us too. From the planning stage, Tony had been very responsive and flexible with our questions/requests and provided valuable suggestions. Although he was not able to accompany us for the entire trip, he personally met us at our arrival and return from Morondava to make sure everything was in order. Maurice and Pierrot, the tour guide and driver who accompanied us to Morondava and Andasibe, also were outstanding and took good care of us. Maurice is so knowledgeable and experienced and it really ensured that we could enjoy the trip to the fullest extent. Thumbs up to Tony and his team and highly recommend if you would like to have a worry free tour of amazing Madagascar.
