If you love your wood grain cabinets and want a refresh, Gleam Guard is your company. I called Tracy and set up an appointment. His worker, Daniel arrived promptly at 9:30 and started working. The first day was cleaning and sanding, the second day was the varnish. My husband and I are so impressed with the results. Our 24 year old cabinets look brand new. We highly recommend Gleam Guard! We had solid wood kitchen cabinets that had lost their shine and showed wear in the areas around the various knobs. While we are somewhat satisfied with the finished product, we are less than fully satisfied with the detail work. We have areas where the repair is obvious while perhaps being difficult to make “like new” which was our expectation. The workers who are contract employees of Sure Guard were professional and tried their best to do the restoration to our satisfaction but in the end, they clearly missed the mark. So in the end we have cabinets that are much improved but not as much as we had anticipated. Nov 2023 Update: we continue to need warranty work and despite three attempts to contact them, they have not had the decency to contact us. If you are relying on their stated warranty, you may want to consider some other service provider.

I had not heard of the Gleam Guard process for refinishing wooden cabinets, so didn't really have any expectations. The wife wanted it though, so. That said I was wowed by the end results. Daniel and Dylan were very meticulous in their work and it was very evident that they wanted it to look great (it does) and for us to be happy (we are). The cabinets haven't looked this good since we had them installed 17 years ago. Thank you Daniel, Dylan and Gleam Guard!

Tracy, owner of company from Vancouver came to see us on Vancouver Island and explained the process. Brandon and Josh from Nanaimo came within a day. They spent 2 days refinishing the cabinets. They have excellent work ethic and are professional and pleasant. They were happy to answer any questions. Our cupboards are same shade but richer in appearance. The finish is very easy to clean. In our opinion we have a new kitchen. We are impressed with results that exceeded our expectation. Really nice people! We recommend their professional services. Thank you Gleam Guard!

Contacted this company and the person I spoke with said his tech guy would call to schedule a visit/quote. That was 3 months ago. Never did call back. Seems to be an unreliable company.
