This stay was simply put, amazing. I highly recommend having Kyriaki schedule your taxi for you in advance due to the location of the villa, otherwise, you'll likely get dropped off in the incorrect location. The villa is even more beautiful than the pictures capture. Each room has an abundance of space along with a great view. Couple of notes: This villa is located about 30ish minutes away from the Chania airport and the same distance/amount of time from the 1866 Square in Chania. Platanias has an abundance of restaurants and cute shops to spend a day sightseeing. Golden view is located on the very top of a hill so that you can get these breathtaking views, so you'll have about a 10-minute walk from where you are located to the main street. You won't regret booking this space and I can't wait to come back.

I can’t put into words how amazing this place is and how grateful we are for the help Kyriaki provided us with during our stay here. She could not of helped us anymore than she did and we are very grateful for that. The villa is spectacular and I would love to come back at some point in the future. It is well maintained and clean. The location is great, pictures don’t do it justice and there are multiple restaurants within walking distance up to the villa.

We had an amazing time at Kyriaki’s place! Our hosts were very proactive with communication, they gave us a ton of recommendations for where to eat/drink and which beaches to go to and they were very friendly and welcoming. Kyriaki was very responsive when we had any questions and eager to help with anything we needed. Her and her husband personally greeted us at the house at check in and showed us around and did the same for check out. They let us check out later than the original time and were flexible with the check in time as well. The house itself has an incredible view, the rooms were spacious and clean and each have their own bathroom and private balcony. The kitchen had everything we needed and the house is conveniently located in a small town that is walkable. They have parking at the house which is super convenient. We highly recommend this house especially if it’s your first time in Crete! We will be back!

Kyriaki is an excellent Airbnb host with excellent communication. She was kind and helpful. This house is truly spectacular. Luxury construction, incredible views of the sea, islands, and mountains. Interior lighting was well done. Everything is modern and immaculately clean. Finding the house on Google maps can be tricky the 1st time but the host guided us at check-in and then it was easy. Ice cold air conditioning, amazing outdoor balconies, parking, awesome restaurants 2-5min walk. Highly recommended!

Great property and hosts! Not only met us at property for tour, but met us on main road and guided us there! They immediately responded to our questions and provided many suggestions on the area. Beautiful, modern, spacious property that sits high on hill overlooking the beach town of Platanias. Amazing views, including sunrise from Master bedroom. Within walking distance to shops, restaurants and beaches in lower Platanias. Numerous nice restaurants with rooftops views within steps of the place in the quaint village of upper Platanias. Our favorite was Cosmos. Hosts stocked the fridge and provided nice microfiber beach towels and of course the Cretan tradition of Raki!Would definitely stay again, highly recommend!!

Trivdes veldig fint. Vi var 5 personer. Bra beliggenhet med luftig og flott utsikt. Brukte 6 min ned til torget på platanias. Litt bratt hjem igjen men ingen problem. Handlet hver dag på vei hjem og brukte 10-15 min opp bakken. Hvis man er litt dårlig til bens bør man stå over. Men normal form/helse er dette verdt alle penga! Flott beliggenhet og nydelig leilighet for 6 personer. Vi digget det! Og utleier er veldig hyggelig og behjelpelig både med innsjekking, tips, taxi til og fra flyplass mm. Allt i allt en fantastisk ferie på en flott plass/leilighet. Leier gjerne igjen.

Beautiful house and friendly hosts! The kitchen was filled with necessities for “the first breakfast”, olive oil and wine from their private farm. We travelled with babies and Kyriaki was helpfully sending us recommendations on suitable places to go and restaurants that were extra baby friendly.

This Airbnb is just fantastic! Kyriaki and her husband were so kind and showed us outstanding hospitality. They escorted us to the property to ensure that we wouldn't get lost following the gps instructions, and left us with a kitchen stocked with pastries, eggs, coffee, wine, olive oil, and oranges to make fresh orange juice. They also gave us helpful suggestions for restaurants, and sights to see in the local area. We were traveling with an infant and they even made sure to set up a high chair and crib for us. The house was absolutely immaculate and decorated beautifully and had everything you could possibly need for a relaxing stay. The view of the ocean from the living room is incredible and there are multiple balconies where you can sit and enjoy the scenery for hours. The house was in a very quiet and peaceful neighborhood, but just a short walk away from the shops, restaurants and beaches. This place is perfect and I would highly recommend staying here!

Ich weiss gar nicht, wo ich anfangen soll. Unsere Kreta-Ferien waren grandios. Alles hat gepasst und dies auch dank, der wunderbaren Unterkunft. Kyriaki und ihr Mann haben uns freundlich empfangen, das Haus gezeigt, Tipps gegeben, den Kühlschrank mit jeden Mengen feinen Sachen gefüllt und uns sogar eigener Raki, Olivenöl und Wein zur Verfügung gestellt, wie auch einen feinen Kuchen aus des Bäckerei des Dorfes. Hat jemand schon so eine tolle Gastfreundschaft erlebt? Wir nicht. Wir reisen oft und mieten Unterkünfte, aber diese Art von Vermieter haben wir noch nie getroffen. Das Haus war absolut sauber und die Aussicht grandios. Das Haus liegt nahe am Dorf, sodass man schnell zu Fuss in belebter Umgebung ist. Ebenso ist die Lage für Ausflüge ideal. Ein ganz spezieller Abend war unser Letzter, den wir mit Kyriaki und ihrem Mann erleben durften. Mietet diese Unterkunft und erfahrt die griechische Gastfreundschaft hautnah mit. Wir empfehlen das Haus und die Vermieter zu 100%

Dette er det beste utleiehuset jeg har besøkt. Vi var 4 personer, en uke i oktober 23. Kjempeflott villa , øverst i platanias. Fantastisk utsikt og beliggenhet. Tre soverom og tre bad, senger i god kvalitet. Alt er nytt, velutstyrt, god aircondition og ikke minst skinnende rent. Flere gode restauranter i kort gangavstand. Ca 10 min å gå til stranden. Sentralt, men likevel privat og rolig. Vi kom sent med fly fra Bergen, men ble møtt av eier som guidet oss helt fram til huset med parkeringsplass, og hadde til og med fylt kjøleskapet med det som trengtes den første dagen- inkludert egenprodusert olje, vin og raki ! Veldig god kommunikasjon og oppfølging hele oppholdet, engelsktalende. Kan anbefales- fantastisk plass!

Our party of six adults recently stayed at the Golden View Villa. What a wonderful experience! Our hosts were so kind and helpful. They provided us with wine, raki, cakes, grapes and other fruits. The home is beautiful and the view from the balcony off the living room is amazing. We ate dinner each of the 4 nights at restaurants that are a very short walk from the villa. Each one was delightful. On the recommendation of our hosts, we drove out to Falassarna Beach for one day. We enjoyed swimming; walking on the beach; and the chaise lounges that came with umbrellas (at a price). The next day, again on the recommendation of our hosts, we drove out to Biolea Astrikas Estate for a tour of their olive oil making area followed by a delicious luncheon with lovely views. There is a grocery store and a local beach at the bottom of the hill. One thing to note is that the road leading to the villa is quite steep. Fortunately our hosts met us and showed us the route but it is a drive that can be challenging. But it's totally worth it!!

We have stayed in numerous Airbnb’s around USA, Mexico, Costa Rica but by far Kyriaki is the most welcoming host we have experienced. This area in Platanias is a great launching point for excursions anywhere on the Island. The place is spectacular and was cleaned a couple of times during our 8 day stay. The home is at the highest point in the area and the views are breath taking. Restaurants are everywhere and excellent. Take Kyriaki’s suggestions for food and car rental she never missed. Shopping abounds on the streets below and beaches are within a short walk. Viator tours picks you up on the main street below and that makes it easy to see places you want to see.Some hill walking and parking a little below is well worth it for those healthy enough for an uphill climb. This place is pristine and Kyriaki greeted us personally and stocked the refrigerator with produce from their farm. For a great Cretan experience this is the place and she is the best host.

We had a wonderful 5 days in this luxury villa. The listing does not capture all the innovative aspects of the spacious, spotlessly clean villa or the breath-taking views of the town, beach and sea from the outdoor dining space and balcony. The villa is beautifully decorated and equipped with every contemporary amenity you can imagine. The bedrooms are quite large and very comfortable, the kitchen is large, modern and very functional. We were warmly welcomed with a refrigerator fully stocked with local fruits, vegetables, milk, eggs, bread, and locally produced olive oil, wine and raki. The villa is ideally located if you wish to enjoy the restaurants, bakeries, supermarkets, and beaches without having to drive. All are with a 5-minute walk. As a bonus, there are several spectacular beaches to choose from within a 10 to 20-minute walk.We would not hesitate to stay again if and when we return to Crete and we won’t soon forget the kindness and generosity of the hosts.

Memorable family vacation, great food, beautiful island.
☺ This was a great choice for our family, the apartment is absolutely gorgeous (the photos are accurate) and well equipped and modern. Every amenity was supplied - even beach towels, the hosts went above and beyond.
The beds are comfortable, the showers are heavenly, the view is unbelievable. There are at least 5-6 restaurants within walking distance, and yet the house/street/neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful, away from the hustle & bustle of the town below (which is great for those with children).
Our hosts were just .. the best. Great restaurant recommendations, great tips about the beaches, sightseeing, etc. Ericcos & Kiki brought us fruit from their farm and were just incredibly generous and thoughtful with their time. Kiki was responsive over text when we asked about restaurants, etc. and showed me all the tips of the house (including using a washing machine labeled in Greek!)
We would stay here again in a heartbeat.
☹ The only tip I would have for folks is that the road to get up to the house is very narrow in one small part, (as is typical all over the island). You must be capable driving, as there are some tight spaces/hills to climb. You could go without a car - but it is maybe a 10 minute walk up and down the hill and not something you want to do midday when it’s hot out. Taxis also come up the hill - you can make it work.
Also the owners will meet you and show you the best way up the hill the first time with all the tips - so you’ll be OK from then on.
