Animals,and breathtaking beauty. Priceless!!
I originally booked a 6-day safari and an 8-day Kilimanjaro trek with Gomberi Travel. Unfortunately, due to a last-minute medical issue, I had to cancel the Kilimanjaro trek. Gomberi Travel went above and beyond to quickly rebook the 8 days for a trip to Zanzibar instead — and I couldn’t be more impressed with how they handled it.The safari was absolutely incredible. The accommodations were top-notch, and I had the privilege of seeing the Big Five and so much more. The hot air balloon ride over the Serengeti was truly priceless — a once-in-a-lifetime experience. There were a couple of minor hiccups with communication between drivers, but nothing that took away from the overall experience.Zanzibar was equally wonderful. The accommodations were very good, and the activities were well-organized and smooth. Gomberi Travel’s flexibility and commitment to making my trip a success really stood out. They turned a potentially stressful situation into an unforgettable experience. Highly recommend!

More than I expected!
The trip was well organized; nice helpful driver who took me to the pick-up point. driver and guide during the safari informed the group about the animals, behavior, food, habitat and so on. this day trip was really great and exceeded expectations.

Great experience, Freddy is a legend
Incredible trip, my guide Freddy was a fantastic and helped push me during the hike. Frank and the Gomberi office were great to deal with helping me get extra accommodation and transport between airport.I left Dec 1 and would recommend not going during rainy season, it was fine with a jacket and poncho when hiking but the long time spent inside the tent at camp was tough at times, particularly while trekking solo.

The whole Gomberi Travel crew was super supportive in our journey to summit Mt Kilimanjaro. They went above and beyond for us to help when needed on summit night. Over all very positive vibes from whole team. It was an amazing experience. Will recommend to everyone.

Experienced and thrusted traveling company in Tanzania
A trustworthy company with a lot of experience. We went to a safari, Materuni waterfalls and coffee farm with then and climb the Uhuru in Kilimanjaro. Everything was done professionally and with a lot of care. We felt very safe with them. Totally recommend!

Bad experience
He promised a safari for 1960 USD. Additionally, a payment plan was agreed upon, with a $1,060 down payment and the remaining balance due upon arrival. After accepting the money, he abruptly changed his mind and requested more in advance. We informed him that wasn't the case and that we would pay the bill in cash when we arrived. He kept the money in his pocket after the trip was canceled and never returned it. He doesn't reply to our texts at the moment. Please use caution to avoid making the same error twice.

Successful and enjoyable 7-day lemosho route hike with Gomberi
Did the 7-day Lemosho route in Oct 2024, as a solo traveller and joining another group of 5 for the trek. Gomberi travel has a great team of guides and porters who made the trekking experience very smooth. Our guides were incredibly experienced and tailored the trekking pace delicately based on our fitness levels and daily health conditions, allowing the entire group to summit and back down safely without any incidents or bad altitude sickness. I would attribute this to be one of the key success factors that allowed the entire group to enjoy the 7 day hike and all summit successfully. During the summit night they supported us in every way possible, providing constant encouragement and helped us ensure we had enough water, food and snacks which brought us over the finish line. We could not have done it without them. The enjoyable experience would also not have been possible without the professionalism of the supporting porter/chef team. Sleeping and dining tents were 100% ready every time we reached the camp site, food was plentiful and they fulfilled our constant requests for hot water without any complaints. Much thanks to the team for helping us to summit mt kilimanjaro and enjoy the beautiful national park along the way.

Strongly recommend choosing this group
We had a tour organised by the guys at Gomberi and it was amazing!!! They helped us reach the summit of Kilimanjaro successfully, but most importantly helped us enjoy it all of the way.It's a local Tanzania based company so know that you are supporting local by choosing them, rather than some large international companies.The team were amazing, accommodating any of our special requests and to my surprise providing us with 3 course meals, 3 times a day all the way up the mountain. The food was much better than expected and I didn't end up needing all the snacks and protein bars I brought along. The little touches like giving us glasses of juice at the base camp and making us a cake after we completed summit day was really appreciated English speaking guides, and professional service all round, I can strongly recommend to go with Gomberi, you will not only save money and support local businesses, but get some insights from the local guides!!!

Exceeded my expectations!
Gomberi Travel exceeded my expectations. I had the most amazing trip hiking up Mount Kilimanjaro with my son. I would love to do it again and I would definitely use Gomberi travel again. They took care of everything from the moment Frank picked us up at the airport until he dropped us off again. They arranged the hotel, transportation, gear and food for the trip. I was worried that I would not get enough to eat while hiking, but I shouldn’t have worried. There was plenty of delicious, hot food. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and even snacks and fruit juice were provided. Shout out to the cook for his awesome meals. The guides and porters were friendly, kind, patient and knowledgeable. They really looked after us and took care of us. Thank you, Freddy and Baracka, for helping me and providing lots of encouragement to get to the top. It was exhilarating to stand at the top of Uhuru Peak and I couldn’t have done it without them.

Epic Kilimanjaro trek with Gomberi
I have climbed Kilimanjaro and taken safaris with the Gomberi agency. The professional team lived up to all my expectations. The stay was wonderful and Gomberi's support made my dream of climbing Kilimanjaro come true. The guides were exceptional, from the comfort of the tents to the meals carefully prepared according to each person's requirements, making this stay unforgettable. For such a life-fulfilling experience, I have no hesitation in recommending Gomberi Travel for the Mt Kilimanjaro Trek and Serengeti safari my wife and I experienced in September 2024.Our communication with Gomberi started about 9 months before our trip and their timely and professional replies answered all our questions and put our mind at ease regarding their experience and knowledge. They assisted with our training, equipment and overall preparation for our trip.We successfully summited Mt Kilimanjaro thanks to the support, guidance and motivation of our tour guides, cook, porters and support staff who did the heavy lifting. The tour guides and staff were experienced and looked after our well-being all the way to the top and to the bottom.Transfers to and from the airport, daily health checks on the mountain, 3 course meals during the extent of the trek and safari, sharing knowledge of the environment and country made it a memorable trip which we will remember for the rest of our lives.Thank you Gomberi Travel for such an experience!
