It was the best decision we made to have Bruce as our guide through dog training! We recently adopted a puppy and Bruce helped us to feel more confident about working with our pup. We learned so much from him and he gave us so many tools we can coinulously use throughout our dogs life.

Bruce worked with our family and our 4 year old rescue dog. The 6 week program helped us with basic obedience and building trust. We have a foundation to continue to work on more complex issues going forward.

Bruce was a tremendous help with my dog, Chapo. Every week, Chapo was super excited to see Bruce. He taught the two of us many new skills that we will continue to use daily. Bruce always made himself available at the last minute during difficult moments. Chapo has improved greatly with the training skills Bruce taught us. I highly recommend Groovy Dogs for your training!

Bruce, or as we call him, Mr. Treats, has truly changed our dogs in an unbelievable way. The Groovy Dog Rules have helped us endlessly and they are techniques we practice daily. Mr. treats has become family to us. He has completely changed the way that our dogs walk outside, interact with other dogs and humans, respond and listen to us, and their overall attitudes. Before knowing Mr. treats, our dogs were getting into a lot of trouble and never listened to any of us. But thanks to Mr. Treats and all of his dedication to our sessions and constantly going above and beyond to answer our questions and stay in touch with us as well as sending us helpful strategies, our dogs’ temperaments have changed for the better. When choosing a dog trainer, it can be overwhelming and is a big decision, but our family would recommend Bruce each and every time and he will be your greatest asset when it comes to your furry friends. Mr. Treats, we appreciate you so much and we are so thankful for all of your dedication and care you have invested into our family.

We had a great experience with Bruce training our dog Kane. They genuinely developed a relationship and he helped give us framework for how to deal with many of our dog's issues. I enjoy his training style as well as it truly teaches patience and an ethics of having your dog learn more from what they themselves are doing rather than us as owners. His goal was to get us to a point where we would not need to rely on him but he is so kind that he hasn't made us feel like we cannot still contact him if there are lingering issues. Definitely recommend his services.

Bruce helped our Martha go from a good dog to a great dog. When we adopted her she was already well-behaved but with his sessions we built a bond based in trust and respect. She loves our training times and it’s been a real joy to see her growth. Whether your dog is a young puppy or just a new addition to the home, I couldn’t recommend Bruce enough.

Bruce is great! He is an excellent teacher and his techniques of training; WORK! … If you follow what he shows you to do with your pups, you will have happy behaved pups! When we adopted a 4 year old Spaniel last month, she came with a few issues including anxiety, resource hoarding and biting. I reached out to Bruce the next day. He came over a few hours later and gave us a consultation. I think he spent at least 90 minutes with us that day. He offered several training packages - no pressure to decide on the spot. We felt so relieved by his calm and kind demeanor. We started training our Lily (and us, let’s be real-who really needs the training?) a couple days later. As we reach the end of our sessions with Bruce, we have all learned a lot. Lily is calmer and more trusting. The training is fun but more importantly it works. If you follow Bruce’s game plan you will see real progress in a short time. Bruce is kind, empathetic, professional and knowledgeable. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

We contacted Bruce because we raised a beautiful golden retriever princess and we knew that she was very intelligent and we humans, were in fact the ones who needed training. After we completed our course, we not only had a better behaved dog that is eager to show off her skills, we also gained an unbreakable bond formed by positive reinforcement training. My 18 month old golden Trooper and I just completed our training sessions with Bruce and I am extremely pleased with the results! Bruce and Trooper truly bonded and it was amazing to see Troop learn so quickly the behavior Bruce was teaching. Bruce also did a great job training me on the methodologies, tactics and game plan exercises needed to teach Trooper good manners and to break some bad habits. We had an incredible experience working with Bruce as our dog trainer for our puppy Benny. Bruce's expertise and patience were evident from the start. He created a positive and nurturing environment for Benny to learn and grow. Bruce's training techniques were effective and tailored specifically to Benny's needs. Under Bruce's guidance, Benny made significant progress in obedience and behavior and we learned a lot along the way too. I cannot say enough good words about Bruce! He has helped me so much with getting my dog rocky to listen and be obedient to me and commands. After finishing up the value I got was so worth it, and the best part is, bruce teaches you HOW to train your dog, he doesn't train them for you, which is the drawback to board and train places. I learnt how to teach my dog what I want him to do and now I can apply it with anything else I want to teach him down the line. Bruce has so much passion for this and its so evident with constant check ups even outside of scheduled sessions. If you are on the fence about dog trainers, look no further!

We had a great experience with Bruce of Groovy Dogs! We adopted a 2yo Maltese who had a tumultuous past and a few behavior issues. (He was a relentless growler, even as he sought out attention and affection--definitely some crossed communication signals.) Bruce's rapport with him was immediate. Bruce was able to work with him to really improve the behavior and to work with us to learn how to control the situation. HIs methods of building trust really worked with our circumstance. We are grateful that he was able to work with us to create a more peaceful environment for us all.

Bruce was recommended by our neighbor and has been such an excellent dog trainer for us! Prices are really fair compared to other companies. We can't thank him enough for all he did to make Snoopy an even better family dog for us.
