Drift Away Fishing is top notch guide service in Alaska You can go fishing with the rest or you can go with the best...these guys are the best. Aaron and Nick were great instructors of the sport. We caught fish all day long. Both guides are experienced to the area and the waters there. They were great to be around and can't wait to go back.

First Class Experience! Here’s the executive summary for you busy, but meticulous trip planners out there: The Salmon fishing was awesome! The cabins at Silvertip Lodge were fantastic and perfect for processing our catch! Jeremy was a great guide and we had an awesome time. We trusted Drift Away with our Alaskan fishing experience and they exceeded expectations. We would definitely book with them again. Now, here are the details. I’m a planner, working mom of 2 boys (14 and 11), and spouse to a phenomenal salesman who has a lot of opportunities to do cool things (meaning he has very high expectations). Our trip to Alaska is celebrating our 20th anniversary. Needless to say, the travel stakes were high. Thanks to many before me who took the time to write reviews about Drift Away, I found them, reached out by email, and started planning our trip. Jeremy and Andrea were very helpful guiding me into the right experiences for my family. They were prompt with communications and answered all my questions. We had just enough time for a day of Halibut and a day of Salmon fishing. Drift Away arranged the Halibut trip for us with O’Fish’ial Charters. Captain Will knew exactly where to go for fish. We dropped our lures into the water and fish seemed to jump on the hooks. Timing is everything and we got lucky. We limited out fairly quickly and had a great rest of the day. Salmon fishing was an even better experience! I was a little hesitant when Jeremy told us to leave the lodge by 3:25 a.m., but he was watching the weather and trying to make sure we had the best experience even with a chance of rain. We arrived in the pitch black of the early rainy morning, hopped on his super clean boat with really comfortable cushioned seats that swivel around, and took off for our fishing spot about 30 minutes away. We got in position with lines in the water just a few minutes before sunrise. Husband and one of my boys have fished a lot on guided trips. I’m generally a rookie. Jeremy met all of us where we were at. He had me feeling confident about what I was doing pretty quickly and that was a good thing because the salmon started biting and it was game on for the next hour straight. At one point 3 of the 4 of us had fish on at the same time! We hit our limit early so we were headed back to the lodge for processing by 9am. Jeremy had great tips for processing the fish and was super helpful throughout the process. It was a first class experience all the way!

Double hookup in minutes! Complete pros! We had an outstanding trip with Nigel for sockeye salmon. My son and I had a double hookup within minutes at our first stop. After nearly catching our limit there, the bite slowed, and Nigel moved to a new spot where we again hooked up right away. We loved that we were trolling flatfish plugs, not floss snagging, to catch sockeye. Nigel was a complete pro (I've fished with a lot of guides around the world) and Nigel arrived early, had an immaculate boat, had best in class Loomis rods and Shimano reels, and was patient with my son as he learned not to set the kook on the soft mouthed sockeye. Couldn't have scripted our day any better. I fully recommend Drift Away.

Wonderful Sockeye Fishing Experience We had an amazing morning with Cody. He was an excellent teacher as we were beginners. We couldn't believe the amount of fish we caught in such a short time. We highly recommend adding this activity to your Alaska experience.

A Great Fishing Experience and guide. Our Group of four spent 4 days fishing with Jeremy and enjoyed each and every one of them! We fished for Silvers and although a challenging fish to catch, Jeremy practiced extreme patience until we were able to do so. The beauty on the River is more than an added bonus! Thank you Jeremy. Fantastic Fishing Trip This was our second trip fishing for silvers with Jeremy on the Kenai River. My two brother-in-laws and nephew were with me on this trip. Jeremy is a phenomenal guide, extremely knowledgeable, personable and made each of our three days on the Kenai, a memorable fishing adventure. He knows where the silvers are located and we caught our limit each day except one. We stayed at the Silvertip Lodge and Cabins which were very clean and comfortable and we relaxed around the fire pit after each day of fishing. We also appreciated having access to the processing facility where we cut our salmon filets to size, vacuum sealed and stored in the freezer until our departure. Lastly, we loved the music Jeremy played on his boat while fishing the Kenai River. What a fun time!!!

Great time with Wife and Son Second trip with ADAF and I was extremely pleased. First trip was great, second trip was priceless. We stayed at the Silvertip Lodge (ran by the same folks) and the amenities and the comfort was second to none. The three of us got our full limits of sockeye salmon! Everyone at the lodge was awesome, we saved a ton on fish processing thanks to the processing room they have. I will be back many times as long as these folks are in operation. Just book it you won't regret it.

Great Trout fishing My son, granddaughter and I had a great time with our fishing guide, Nigel. He made sure my 13 yr old granddaughter had a safe and fun time fishing for trout. She wound up catching the most fish! Nigel was very friendly, knowledgeable and skilled in catching fish and made it a fun day for all with lots of family memories to look back on. Next time would love to fish for halibut and salmon.
