Captain Herm was very accommodating, knowledgeable and professional. He gave us lessons on how to catch Halibut, and we were successful. After fishing he even took us whale watching and showed us some wildlife. We had amazing time!

Amazing adventure with Jared as our captain and guide. Saw a bear, seal lions, a sea otter, and some humpback whales, and still had plenty of time for fishing. Jared put us on a great spot. Thank you!

Herm with Hooked Adventures was amazing. Friendly, professional and very knowledgeable about fishing for Halibut. He took four of us out and we all caught our limit. All four of us agreed that it was the greatest fishing trip that we had ever been on and one of the greatest experiences that we had ever had. Thanks Herm.

My sister and I went on this adventure together when we were up on an Alaskan Cruise. This fishing trip was definitely one of the highlights of our trip! It had long been on my bucket list items to go Halibut fishing and we had such a great time! We started to fish and as soon as the lines were dropped in and we all finally figured out how a Halibut sucks the line vs hits on the line we started hauling them in. Between the 4 of us on board we caught about 20 fish (honest, this is not a fish story!, LOL). You can only keep one, so you have to make good choices on which one you want to keep and sometimes that’s hard if you catch a big one early…Mine is being processed and flown home to me right now (they made it such an easy process too!). I would highly recommend this company to anyone who wants to enjoy “catching” and not just “fishing” for Halibut! Thank you!!!!

We took a cruise that had a stop in Icy Straight Point. Before we cruised, I saw that Royal Caribbean had halibut fishing listed as one of their excursions but it was pretty expensive. I decided to look for alternatives, and I found hooked adventures. The price was much better than what was offered via the cruise. I took a look at their Instagram, and it looked like it would be a great time. I decided to book with them, and we ended up taking the whole boat for the two of us. We had Herminio as our guide, and he was so much fun! He was very knowledgeable, and we learned a lot from him about the area and how to catch fish like pros! He let us customize our trip so that we could also sight see. We saw so many whales! They were breaching and bubble feeding. It was amazing! Best of all, we caught so many fish! I would say at least 20! The majority were halibut but we also caught rockfish, cod, flounder and a ray! This was absolutely one of our favorite days on our Alaskan adventure! Herminio made sure that we got back to the cruise on time so we didn’too have to stress about anything. We fell in love with Icy Straight Point and fishing on this trip. We are hoping to come back to visit again soon and when we do we will definitely be going out with Hooked and Herminio again! 10/10 definitely recommend!!!!

My son (18) went fishing and boy did he do well! I highly recommend! He had an amazing time and we were able to have his catch sent to our home in NY . Great organization and communication. Thank you, Hooked Adventures!

We just got back from our families Alaska Cruise. We charter a Halibut fishing trip while in Icy Straight Point. It was the highlight of our entire cruise. Captain Jared Rossman was excellent. He put us on fish almost immediately upon dropping the anchor. He was great with both young and old, explaining everything. We caught 16 fish in two hours. Nice size Halibut! We then asked about whale watching for a bit. He put us on a pod of Humpbacks. We had the opportunity to watch them Bubble Feed, unique experience. Fantastic! We had a limited window during a cruise ship stop. The Hooked Adventures team communicated with us in advance, coordinated the details, and made sure we made our all aboard. Most importantly, we caught 16 halibut and 3 cod in a compressed trip of only abiut 1 hour and 45 minutes. At one point, we had 5 fish on poles. Captain Josh worked hard to help us succeed in with a short time. Plus, we saw whales on the way out! Memorable and amazing day - great team.

Herm is the best captain and his staff love him! Says a lot about a great captain! Very family friendly halibut tour, he accommodated us last minute after another one canceled on us. Very patient with the kids and taught them to fish.. we caught over 25 halibut . He knows the spots .. largest we caught was almost 30 inches! Great all around! Highly recommend this great team!

We booked a 3hr charter as an excursion while in Icy Strait Point for myself and my two kids age 15 and 17. Our boat had a total of 6 people and there was plenty of room on the back of the boat for us all to fish. The captain and his mate (a golden retriever named Cyrus) were great. The captain in conjunction with their two other boats in the area did a great job keeping us on the fish. We had a blast and caught 15 halibut between the 3 of us and 31 total on the boat, the biggest being a 32” 15-16lb halibut that we sent home for a few nice dinners. The trip was great and would highly recommend these guys if you are in the area. Just be aware, the fish shipping company (an outside company) is quite expensive to ship fish back home, but they were extremely convenient to use and did provide great customer service.
