I recently bought four new tires for my GMC Denali 3/4 ton truck. After installation, there was a minor issue. Iowa City Tire took care of it quickly and professionally. I highly recommend them - super friendly and efficient staff.

I'm so happy that I went to Iowa City Tire and Service. For months I'd been searching for the right wheel/tire combination for my camper van. I was looking for a bigger wheel size than the original van size and had a specific height and rim width to work with. Andy's knowledge and professionalism made it easy. He did all the hard work of sifting through options and brands and suggested several that would be optimal. Several days later the wheels came in and Andy's staff took care of the installation. They look amazing and better still, they ride really well. I took them on a 1,000-mile trip two weeks ago and I couldn't be happier. The entire experience at Iowa City Tire and Service was professional, courteous, prompt and personable. The relationship that Andy has with his staff and his clientele is testimony to the integrity and professionalism of this business.

My girlfriend's car broke down recently and she initially had it towed to Firestone. They came back with a ridiculous list of "issues" and a bill that easily exceeded the value of the car. It all just didn't seem quite right. I know more than average person about cars, but I'm still far from a mechanic so I recommended we get a second opinion. Iowa City Tire treated us exceptionally well from the moment we walked in. One thing I always look for in a mechanic is how they treat my girlfriend as cars just aren't her thing and other less honest companies will try to take advantage of that. She always received the exact same clear explanation and tone that I did. After looking the car over, they came back with a much more reasonable fix for the car. Unfortunately, the car just wasn't worth much anymore and the fix was still fairly major. They offered a very fair price, but it just wasn't worth fixing anymore. Regardless, Iowa City Tire and Service never attempted to push us to get the work done and were sympathetic to our position to not have the job done. We began looking for a new car and due to their fantastic service had Iowa City Tire do a pre-purchase inspection. The quote for the inspection was beyond fair and once more we were treated very well with clear explanations for any questions we had. If you need a good, honest business with great prices and kind staff, go here. You will not regret it. Having moved to the area in June, it's quite relieving to have found a good mechanic so soon. They will be doing any work for me or my girlfriend going forward. PS: They also have a gorgeous shop dog named Bentley and I assure you he's a very good boy!

Strongly recommend. I dropped off my car with a flat tire an hour before they closed and it was fixed by 8:00 am the next day. The guy I talked to (terrible with names, sorry) saw me walking home while he was driving home for the day and gave me a ride. Great service and they don't try to cheat you.

Highly recommend Iowa City Tire! My husband and I have brought our vehicles here several times for a variety of issues, and they are always able to get us in quickly, and resolve the problem with our cars in a timely manner. Andy is so nice and you can tell he genuinely cares about his customers. This is the place to go for sure!

They know their stuff, they’re good at what they do, they treat us with respect, and give us all the info we need for each repair. We will be coming back here for years to come.

Found these guys when my kid started going to college in Iowa City. They were always honest and fair and made sure her vehicle was in working order. if you are looking for a service place for maintenance and repairs for your college kid go to these guys. As for me I asked about tires for my Jeep and they made a recommendation. I got then installed today. WOW what a difference.Didn't know the Jeep could ride this nice. Thank you so much.

I don't know much about cars so going to service places always makes me feel nervous that I'll be overcharged or overserviced due to my lack of knowledge. However, every time I've been to Iowa City Tire and Service it has been an amazing experience! Every employee is very kind, patient, and knowledgeable and they explain exactly what they're doing and what they recommend. I went in for a simple oil change and they went above and beyond giving me an explanation of everything I was curious about. I felt confident in trusting them and I would rather pay/drive a little more to go to them instead of going to a chain shop! The environment inside the store is great too - they have coffee, cookies from a local bakery, and a very friendly dog inside the store. These things all served to make me feel calm as I waited for my car to be ready! I'll definitely be back for any car maintenance or repairs!

I have been coming to this tire shop for over 20 years! The main reasons are... I trust them, they are fast, do quality work and won't break the bank! Today they got me in for an appointment very fast, and I left soon after feeling relieved that my car was good to go! Thank you to everyone there for the excellent service!
