Mr Ivan is an understanding and funny teacher who taught me both History and SS. All my life I was worrying about my humanities and since secondary 3, I was really struggling with my answering techniques and inference skills as I overthink alot, I have been failing Humanities since the start of sec 3 and 4. But ever since I joined illum.e during yhe midst of 2024, I could see my grades started to get better overtime. However, during my Prelims I scored a 6 due to my habit of overthinking, but with Mr Ivan's help and patience, I slowly started to get better at humanities. After my N levels ended, I was expecting a grade 5 or 4 for my Humanities. However to my surprise, I scored a grade 3! Which made me secure my PFP with a raw score of 9! Kudos to Mr Ivan and illum.e for teaching me Humanities and making me jump from a grade 6 to 3!

Despite joining very late, Mr Yeo has managed to help improve my English significantly in a very small amount of time. His lessons are very fun, engaging and detailed allowing me to focus, he is also very patient and understanding always willing to answer questions and check in on you. To add on, the notes and class work that they provide are very detailed and easy to understand and coupled with Mr Yeo allowed me to easily grasp what they where going through.

My son joined Illume in sec 3. Mr Roger has been a very caring, patient and engaging teacher who consistently provide feedback abt his progress. The learning resources provided are v helpful. With the support he received, he move from a grade 5 to a grade 2 for his N levels. Thank you Mr Roger! :)

I would like to recommend Mr AC Chua for his tremendous effort in teaching my girl. He is very helpful and will provide extra notes for her. Glad I found Illum.e tuition.

Very bad experience with the tuition center. My child went for tuition in this tuition center for months. No progress and even the grade dropped. Doubt about the qualification of the tutor.

Dear Ms Sharon, while we deeply regret your experience, I'm afraid every centre and business has its own boundaries as well as terms and conditions which must be adhered to.
Let us address your comments holistically:
1) You have an older son with us who consistently did well in school for P6 and was with us till the end when both you and your husband withdrew him close to the exams as you both felt he was ready. We are very proud of him.
2) You signed up your younger son in late July. Very early on, we gave feedback from the tutors that he has very weak foundations (we even informed your husband that his standard was lower than students who are 1 academic year behind) and needed much foundational help even at home. While this was acknowledged, it certainly isn't fair to expect your child to improve in a tougher, more holistic end of the year paper within 2.5 months.
3) You have also ignored how our tutor (who is an ex MOE teacher) consistently stayed back after class to aid your children after each lesson.
We stand by the quality of our lessons and Curriculum, as well as our teachers, and we look forward to working with parents who can be partners with us to ensure your child attains mastery and success.
4) This is not the first time you have tried to vent your frustrations on us, inclusive of how you screamed at our admins when your own son felt like fainting and had a fever. When we took him out of class to rest, instead of caring for your son's well-being, you elected to scold us for not delivering our lessons and wanted a refund and make up lesson. I think everyone's words and actions speak volumes of their own character and values, so we again sincerely apologise that we are not able to provide you with what is within your expectations. But this will nonetheless not deter us from our mission and vision to help as many students as possible by illuminating them and ensuring that we end both student and parent powerlessness in this world.

My niece goes here for GP. Thankful for the help extended although she has joined late. She has seen huge improvement from the time she joined in July up to the exam period. She tried Learning Lodge in the same building and the tutor just told her it's already late and the class will not be effective anymore.

I like that Mr Liew make the effort to repeat content so that we are familiar with the concepts. The lessons are interactive so we students can play a part in everyone's learning.

After my olvls, I continued studying GP at illumes with my wonderful tutors Mr Chia and Mr Yeo, as well as Ms Yinxuan. The lessons they conducted really did improve skills and grades for both paper 1 essay and paper 2 comprehension. To add on, I came from a non-english speaking family and only started learning this language at a late age. The lesson quality and standards are remarkably excellent at illume. The teachers here are super nice, friendly and patient too! Do join illume if u need any help in GP or English

My daughter takes GP classes at Novena and their lessons methodology provided her ckear guidelines and skills that help her to score an A in her recent GP WA assessment in her school. I will continue to let her attend their classes until she finishes her A level next year! Her friends know of her good grades are also signing up GP classes too! Amazing team- dedicated teachers and friendly administrative stafff who are always helpful. Thank you illum.e

mr yeo is very helpful and kind! he helped me realise there’s so much more to gp and makes every lesson really fun and enjoyable. he is super hardworking and stays back after class to address doubts. he is willing to answer questions over text too! overall mr yeo is a wonderful and lovely teacher, and i am very grateful for his help in gp :D

Joining illum.e has been the best decision of my life. I have literally been illuminated for GP… Mr Liew, my tutor, has been incredibly patient in guiding me and the catalyst for my improvement. He is extremely knowledgable, efficient in teaching, and even awfully humorous at times, making GP lessons enjoyable and something I look forward to every week. I genuinely believe that if I did not join this class, I would not be feeling as confident in tackling GP now!! Though I am still learning bit by bit, I am sure that I will improve tremendously under Mr Liew’s teaching and guidance. 100/10 recommend illume to any of my friends that need help in GP.

Mr Yeo is a very fun and friendly teacher who never fails to make us more knowledgeable with his interesting facts #slay. He’s very open for consults and in helping his students to do well in exams. mr yeo is a very engaging and knowledgeable gp tutor who has made gp a much more interesting and fun subject to learn. he actively engages us during lesson and would always make the effort to stay back with us after lessons to go through our papers and answer any questions!
++special mention to ms zeqin for always being so patient while answering our questions and explaining the answers for online and in-person class! i highly recommend illum.e to anyone who needs additional support for general paper! 😁😁

mr yeo is a super nice, knowledgeable and goofy gp teacher!! i love the way his lessons are structured, and his teaching is clear and concise. i previously had doubts that i could do well in gp, but with his guidance, i learnt how to apply different techniques to both my paper1 & paper2. thank u mr yeo yipeeee
